1 Do you know the time when the wild goats of the rock bear? Do you observe the calving of deer?
1 Sabes tu o tempo em que as cabras monteses têm os filhos, ou consideraste as dores das cervas?
2 Can you tell the months they fulfill; or do you know the time for their bearing,
2 Contarás os meses que cumprem ou sabes o tempo do seu parto?
3 when they crouch and bring forth; they send out their pangs?
3 Elas encurvam-se, para terem seus filhos, e lançam de si as suas dores.
4 Their young ones are strong; they multiply with grain; they go forth and do not return to them.
4 Seus filhos enrijam, crescem com o trigo, saem, e nunca mais tornam para elas.
5 Who has sent out the wild ass free, or who has untied the bands of the wild ass?
5 Quem despediu livre o jumento montês, e quem soltou as prisões ao jumento bravo,
6 To whom I have assigned the desert for his home, and the salt land for his dwellings?
6 ao qual dei o ermo por casa e a terra salgada, por moradas?
7 He laughs at the turmoil of the city; he does not hear the driver's shouts;
7 Ri-se do arruído da cidade; não ouve os muitos gritos do exator.
8 he seeks out mountains for his pasture; and he searches after every green thing.

9 Will the wild ox consent to be your servant, or spend the night by your feed-trough?

10 Can you tie the wild ox in the furrow with his rope? Or will he harrow the valleys for you?

11 Will you trust him because his strength is great; or will you leave your labor to him?

12 Or will you have faith in him, that he will return your seed, and gather it to your grain-floor?
12 Ou te fiarás dele que te torne o que semeaste e o recolha na tua eira?
13 The wing of the ostriches flap joyously, though not like the stork's pinions for flight.
13 Bate alegre as asas o avestruz, que tem penas de cegonha;
14 For she leaves her eggs to the earth, and lets them warm on the dust;
14 ele deixa os seus ovos na terra e os aquenta no pó.
15 and forgets that a foot may crush it, or the beast of the field may trample it;
15 E se esquece de que algum pé os pode pisar, ou de que podem calcá-los os animais do campo.
16 she treats her young roughly, as if not hers; for her labor is vanity without fear;
16 Endurece-se para com seus filhos, como se não fossem seus; debalde é seu trabalho, porquanto está sem temor.
17 because God has made her forget wisdom; and He has not given to her a share in understanding.
17 Porque Deus o privou de sabedoria e não lhe repartiu entendimento.
18 At the time she lifts up on high, she laughs at the horse and its rider.
18 A seu tempo se levanta ao alto; ri-se do cavalo e do que vai montado nele.
19 Have you given the horse its strength: have you clothed its neck with a mane
19 Ou darás tu força ao cavalo, ou revestirás o seu pescoço de crinas?
20 Can you make him leap like a locust; the majesty of his snorting is terrifying?
20 Ou espantá-lo-ás, como ao gafanhoto? Terrível é o fogoso respirar das suas ventas.
21 They paw in the valley and he rejoices in his strength; he goes out to meet the weapons;
21 Escarva a terra, e folga na sua força, e sai ao encontro dos armados.
22 he mocks at fear, and is not terrified; and he does not turn back from the sword.
22 Ri-se do temor, e não se espanta, e não torna atrás por causa da espada.
23 The quiver rattles against him, the flashing spear and the javelin.
23 Contra ele rangem a aljava, o ferro flamante da lança e o dardo.
24 He swallows the ground with quivering and trembling, and he does not stand still for the sound of the ram's horn.
24 Sacudindo-se e removendo-se, escarva a terra e não faz caso do som da buzina.
25 When the ram's horn sounds , he says, Aha! And he smells the battle from a distance, the thunder of the captains, and the shouting.
25 Ao soar das buzinas, diz: Eia! E de longe cheira a guerra, e o trovão dos príncipes, e o alarido.
26 Does the hawk soar from your understanding? Will he spread his wings toward the south?
26 Ou voa o gavião pela tua inteligência, estendendo as suas asas para o sul?
27 Or does the eagle mount up at your mouth, and make his nest on high?
27 Ou se remonta a águia ao teu mandado e põe no alto o seu ninho?
28 He lives and stays on the rock, on the crag of the rock and the stronghold.
28 Nas penhas, mora e habita; no cume das penhas, e nos lugares seguros.
29 From there he seeks food; his eyes see afar off.
29 Dali, descobre a presa; seus olhos a avistam desde longe.
30 And his young brood also sucks up blood; and where the pierced ones are , there he is .
30 Seus filhos chupam o sangue; e onde há mortos, ela aí está.
