1 Praise Yah. Give thanks to Yahweh, for he is good, for his loyal love is forever.
1 Louvai ao SENHOR. Dai graças ao SENHOR, pois ele é bom, pois a sua misericórdia dura para sempre.
2 Who can utter the mighty deeds of Yahweh, or proclaim all his praise?
2 Quem pode contar os feitos poderosos do SENHOR? Quem poderá anunciar todos os seus louvores?
3 Blessed are those who observe justice, he who does righteousness at all times.
3 Abençoados são os que guardam o juízo, e o que pratica justiça em todos os tempos.
4 Remember me, O Yahweh, when you show favor to your people. Look after me when you deliver,
4 Lembra-te de mim, ó SENHOR, com o teu favor para com o teu povo; Oh, visita-me com a tua salvação.
5 that I may see the good done your chosen ones, to be glad in the joy of your nation, to glory together with your inheritance.
5 Para que eu veja os bens de teus escolhidos, para que eu me alegre com a alegria da tua nação, para que eu me glorie com a tua herança.
6 We have sinned along with our ancestors. We have committed iniquity; we have incurred guilt.
6 Nós pecamos como os nossos pais, nós cometemos a iniquidade, nós nos comportamos impiamente.
7 Our ancestors in Egypt did not understand your wonderful works. They did not remember your many acts of loyal love, and so they rebelled by the sea at ⌞the Red Sea⌟.
7 Nossos pais não entenderam as tuas maravilhas no Egito; não se lembraram da multidão das tuas misericórdias; mas o provocaram no mar, no mar Vermelho.
8 Yet he saved them for the sake of his name, to make known his might.
8 Mesmo assim, ele os salvou por causa do seu nome, para que fizesse o seu grande poder conhecido.
9 So he rebuked ⌞the Red Sea⌟, and it dried up, and he led them through the deep as through a desert.
9 Ele também repreendeu o mar Vermelho, e este secou, assim os conduziu através do abismo, como pelo deserto.
10 Thus he saved them from the hand of the hater and redeemed them from the hand of the enemy.
10 E ele os salvou da mão daquele que os odiava, e os resgatou da mão do inimigo.
11 But waters covered their adversaries; not one of them survived.
11 E as águas cobriram os seus inimigos; nem um só deles sobrou.
12 Then they believed his words; they sang his praise.
12 Então eles creram nas suas palavras, e cantaram os seus louvores.
13 They quickly forgot his works; they did not wait for his counsel.
13 Eles logo se esqueceram das suas obras; não esperaram o seu conselho.
14 And they ⌞craved intensely⌟ in the wilderness, and tested God in the desert.
14 Mas cobiçaram excessivamente no deserto, e tentaram a Deus no deserto.
15 So he gave to them their request, but he sent leanness into their souls.
15 E ele lhes deu o que pediram, mas enviou magreza às suas almas.
16 And they were jealous of Moses in the camp, and of Aaron, the holy one of Yahweh.
16 Eles também invejaram Moisés no acampamento, e a Arão, o santo do SENHOR.
17 The earth opened and swallowed up Dathan, and it covered over the gang of Abiram.
17 Abriu-se a terra, e engoliu a Datã, e cobriu a companhia de Abirão.
18 Also fire burned in their assembly; the flame devoured the wicked.
18 E um fogo se acendeu na sua companhia; a chama queimou os perversos.
19 They made a calf at Horeb and bowed down to a cast image.
19 Eles fizeram um bezerro em Horebe, e adoraram a imagem fundida.
20 And so they exchanged their glory for an image of an ox that eats grass.
20 E assim converteram a sua glória na semelhança de um boi que come grama.
21 They forgot God their Savior, who had done great things in Egypt,
21 Esqueceram-se de Deus, o seu Salvador, que fizera grandes coisas no Egito,
22 wonders in the land of Ham, awesome deeds by ⌞the Red Sea⌟.
22 Obras maravilhosas na terra de Cam, e coisas terríveis no mar Vermelho.
23 So he said he would exterminate them, had not Moses, his chosen one, stood in the breach before him, to reverse his wrath from destroying them.
23 Por isso ele disse que os destruiria, não tivesse Moisés, o seu escolhido, ficado perante ele na brecha, para desviar a sua ira, para ele não os destruir.
24 Then they refused the desirable land; they did not believe his word,
24 Sim, eles desprezaram a terra aprazível; não creram na sua palavra.
25 but grumbled in their tents. They did not obey the voice of Yahweh.
25 Mas murmuraram nas suas tendas, e não deram ouvidos à voz do SENHOR.
26 So ⌞he made an oath⌟ against them, to make them drop in the wilderness,
26 Portanto ele levantou a sua mão contra eles, para os derrubar no deserto;
27 and to disperse their ⌞descendants⌟ among the nations and to scatter them among the lands.
27 para derrubar também a sua semente entre as nações, e espalhá-los pelas terras.
28 They also attached themselves to Baal of Peor, and they ate sacrifices offered to the dead.
28 Eles também se juntaram com Baal-Peor, e comeram os sacrifícios dos mortos.
29 Thus they provoked to anger by their deeds, and a plague broke out among them.
29 Assim eles o provocaram à ira com as suas invenções; e a peste desceu sobre eles.
30 Then Phinehas stood up and intervened, and so the plague was stopped,
30 Então levantou-se Fineias, e executou o juízo, e assim a peste foi contida.
31 and it was reckoned to him as righteousness ⌞throughout all generations⌟.
31 E isto lhe foi contado como justiça pelas gerações para sempre.
32 They also angered God at the waters of Meribah, and it went badly for Moses on account of them,
32 Eles também enfureceram-se junto às águas da contenda, de modo que por causa deles sucedeu mal a Moisés;
33 because they rebelled against his Spirit, and he spoke thoughtlessly with his lips.
33 Porque provocaram o seu espírito, de modo que ele falou imprudentemente com os seus lábios.
34 They did not exterminate the peoples, as Yahweh had commanded them,
34 Eles não destruíram as nações, em relação a quem o SENHOR lhes ordenara.
35 but they mingled with the nations and learned their works,
35 Mas misturaram-se aos pagãos, e aprenderam as suas obras.
36 and served their idols, which became a snare to them.
36 E serviram aos seus ídolos, os quais eram uma armadilha.
37 They even sacrificed their sons and daughters to the demons,
37 Sim, eles sacrificaram os seus filhos e as suas filhas aos demônios,
38 and they poured out innocent blood, the blood of their sons and daughters, whom they sacrificed to the idols of Canaan, and so the land was defiled with the blood.
38 E derramaram sangue inocente, até mesmo o sangue de seus filhos e de suas filhas, os quais sacrificaram aos ídolos de Canaã; e a terra foi poluída com sangue.
39 And they became unclean by their works, and were unfaithful in their deeds.
39 Assim eles se contaminaram com as suas próprias obras, e se prostituíram com suas próprias invenções.
40 So Yahweh’s anger burned against his people, and he abhorred his inheritance.
40 Portanto a ira do SENHOR se acendeu contra o seu povo, de tal modo que ele abominou a sua própria herança.
41 Then he gave them into the hand of the nations, and those who hated them ruled over them.
41 E ele os entregou nas mãos dos pagãos; e aqueles que os odiavam passaram a governá-los.
42 And their enemies oppressed them, and they were subdued under their hand.
42 E os seus inimigos também os oprimiram, e foram trazidos à submissão debaixo das suas mãos.
43 Many times he delivered them, but they rebelled in their counsel, and were brought low by their iniquity.
43 Muitas vezes ele os livrou, mas o provocaram com o seu conselho, e foram abatidos pela sua iniquidade.
44 Yet he looked upon their distress when he heard their cry.
44 Todavia ele atendeu à sua aflição, quando ele ouviu o seu clamor.
45 And he remembered his covenant with them, and relented based on the abundance of his loyal love.
45 E ele lembrou-se do seu pacto, e se arrependeu segundo a multidão das suas misericórdias.
46 And he ⌞let them find compassion⌟ before all their captors.
46 Ele também fez com que tivessem misericórdia deles aqueles que os levaram cativos.
47 Save us, O Yahweh our God, and gather us from the nations, so that we may give thanks to your holy name and boast in your praise.
47 Salva-nos, ó SENHOR, nosso Deus, e recolhe-nos do meio dos pagãos, para que demos graças ao teu nome santo, e triunfemos no teu louvor.
48 Blessed is Yahweh, the God of Israel, from everlasting and to everlasting. And let all the people say, “Amen!” Praise Yah.
48 Bendito seja o SENHOR Deus de Israel, de eternidade em eternidade, e todo o povo diga: Amém. Louvai ao SENHOR.
