2 Every way of a man, may be right in his own eyes, but, he that testeth hearts, is Yahweh.

3 To do righteousness and justice, is more choice to Yahweh than sacrifice.
3 O S enhor se agrada mais ao fazermos o que é certo e justo do que ao lhe oferecermos sacrifícios.
4 Loftiness of eyes, and ambition of heartthe lamp of the lawless, are sin.
4 Olhos arrogantes, coração orgulhoso e atos perversos: tudo isso é pecado.
5 The plans of the diligent, tend only to abundance, but, of every one that is urgent, only to want.
5 Quem planeja bem e trabalha com dedicação prospera; quem se apressa e toma atalhos fica pobre.
6 The gaining of treasures with a tongue of falsehood, is a vapour driven away,
6 A riqueza obtida por meio de mentiras é neblina que se dissipa e armadilha mortal.
7 The violence of the lawless, shall drag them away,because they have refused to do justice.
7 A violência dos perversos os destruirá, pois se recusam a fazer o que é justo.
8 Crooked is the way of a guilty man, but, as for the pure, straight is his dealing.
8 O culpado anda por um caminho tortuoso; o inocente percorre uma estrada reta.
9 Better to dwell on the corner of the roof, than a quarrelsome wife, and a house in common.
9 É melhor viver sozinho no canto de um sótão que morar com uma esposa briguenta numa bela casa.
10 The soul of the lawless man, craveth mischief, his own friend, findeth no favour in his eyes.
10 O perverso deseja o mal e não tem compaixão do próximo.
11 When the scoffer is punished, the simple, becometh wise, when the wise is instructed, he receiveth knowledge.
11 Quando o zombador é castigado, o ingênuo se torna sábio; quando o sábio é instruído, adquire ainda mais conhecimento.
12 The Righteous One observeth the house of the lawless,He is ready to cast down lawless men into misfortune.
12 Deus, o Justo, sabe o que se passa na casa dos perversos e trará desgraça sobre eles.
13 He that shutteth his ear from the cry of the poor, even he, shall call, and not be answered.
13 Quem fecha os ouvidos aos clamores dos pobres será ignorado quando passar necessidade.
14 A gift in secret, quencheth anger, and, a present in the bosom, mighty wrath.
14 O presente entregue em segredo acalma a ira; o suborno oferecido às escondidas abranda a fúria.
15 It is a joy, to a righteous man, to do justice, but, dismay, to the workers of iniquity.
15 A justiça é alegria para o justo, mas causa pavor nos que praticam o mal.
16 The man who wandereth from the way of discretion, in the gathered host of the shades, shall settle down.
16 Quem se desvia do caminho da prudência acabará na companhia dos mortos.
17 A needy man, shall he be that loveth merriment, the lover of wine and oil, shall not become rich.
17 Quem ama os prazeres ficará pobre; quem ama o vinho e o luxo nunca enriquecerá.
18 A ransom for the righteous, is the lawless, and, instead of upright men, the traitor.
18 Os perversos são castigados em lugar dos justos, e os desleais, em lugar dos honestos.
19 Better to dwell in a desert land, than with a woman, quarrelsome and provoking.
19 É melhor viver sozinho no deserto que morar com uma esposa briguenta que só sabe reclamar.
20 Desirable treasure and oil, are in the home of the wise, but, a man who is a dullard, will destroy it.
20 O sábio possui riqueza e luxo, mas o tolo gasta tudo que tem.
21 He that pursueth righteousness and lovingkindness, shall find life, righteousness and honour.
21 Quem busca a justiça e o amor encontra vida, justiça e honra.
22 A city of heroes, doth a wise man scale, and bringeth down the strength of its confidence.
22 O sábio conquista a cidade dos fortes e derruba a fortaleza em que eles confiam.
23 He that keepeth his mouth and his tongue, keepeth, out of distresses, his soul.
23 Cuide da língua e fique de boca fechada, e você não se meterá em apuros.
24 A haughty insolent oneScoffer is his name, is he that acteth in a transport of pride.
24 O zombador é orgulhoso e convencido e age com extrema arrogância.
25 The craving of the sluggard, killeth him, for his hands have refused to work.
25 O preguiçoso deseja muitas coisas, mas acaba em ruína, pois suas mãos se recusam a trabalhar.
26 All the day, he greatly craveth, whereas, the righteous, giveth, and doth not spare.
26 Algumas pessoas cobiçam o tempo todo, mas o justo gosta de repartir o que tem.
27 The sacrifice of the lawless, is an abomination, how much more, when, with wickedness, he bringeth it in!
27 O sacrifício do perverso é detestável, especialmente quando oferecido com más intenções.
28 A false witness, shall perish, but, the man who hearkeneth, with abiding effect, shall speak.
28 A testemunha falsa será morta; a testemunha confiável terá permissão de falar.
29 A lawless man emboldeneth his face, but, as for the upright, he, directeth his ways.
29 A teimosia do perverso transparece em seu rosto, mas o justo pensa antes de agir.
30 There is no wisdom, nor understanding, nor counsel, to confront Yahweh.
30 Não há sabedoria, entendimento, nem conselho humano capaz de resistir ao S
31 The horse, is prepared for the day of battle, but, to Yahweh, pertaineth the victory.
