¹ Who so dwelleth in the secrete of the most High, shall abide in the shadowe of the Almightie.

¹ Aquele que habita no esconderijo do Altíssimo e descansa à sombra do Onipotente

² I will say vnto the Lord, O mine hope, and my fortresse: he is my God, in him will I trust.

² diz ao Senhor : “Tu és o meu refúgio e a minha fortaleza, o meu Deus, em quem confio.”

³ Surely he will deliuer thee from the snare of the hunter, and from the noysome pestilence.

³ Pois ele livrará você do laço do passarinheiro e da peste perniciosa.

⁴ Hee will couer thee vnder his winges, and thou shalt be sure vnder his feathers: his trueth shall be thy shielde and buckler.

⁴ Ele o cobrirá com as suas penas, e, sob as suas asas, você estará seguro; a sua verdade é proteção e escudo.

⁵ Thou shalt not be afraide of the feare of the night, nor of the arrowe that flyeth by day:

⁵ Você não terá medo do terror noturno, nem da flecha que voa de dia,

⁶ Nor of the pestilence that walketh in the darkenesse: nor of the plague that destroyeth at noone day.

⁶ nem da peste que se propaga nas trevas, nem da mortandade que assola ao meio-dia.

⁷ A thousand shall fall at thy side, and tenne thousand at thy right hand, but it shall not come neere thee.

⁷ Caiam mil ao seu lado, e dez mil, à sua direita; você não será atingido.

⁸ Doubtlesse with thine eyes shalt thou beholde and see the reward of the wicked.

⁸ Somente com os seus olhos você contemplará e verá o castigo dos ímpios.

⁹ For thou hast said, The Lord is mine hope: thou hast set the most High for thy refuge.

⁹ Você disse: “O Você fez do Altíssimo a sua morada.

¹⁰ There shall none euill come vnto thee, neither shall any plague come neere thy tabernacle.

¹⁰ Nenhum mal lhe sucederá, praga nenhuma chegará à sua tenda.

¹¹ For hee shall giue his Angels charge ouer thee to keepe thee in all thy wayes.

¹¹ Porque aos seus anjos ele dará ordens a seu respeito, para que guardem você em todos os seus caminhos.

¹² They shall beare thee in their handes, that thou hurt not thy foote against a stone.

¹² Eles o sustentarão nas suas mãos, para que você não tropece em alguma pedra.

¹³ Thou shalt walke vpon the lyon and aspe: the yong lyon and the dragon shalt thou treade vnder feete.

¹³ Você pisará o leão e a cobra; com os pés esmagará o leãozinho e a serpente.

¹⁴ Because he hath loued me, therefore will I deliuer him: I will exalt him because hee hath knowen my Name.

¹⁴ Deus diz: “Porque a mim se apegou com amor, eu o livrarei; eu o protegerei, porque conhece o meu nome.

¹⁵ He shall call vpon me, and I wil heare him: I will be with him in trouble: I will deliuer him, and glorifie him.

¹⁵ Ele me invocará, e eu lhe responderei; na sua angústia eu estarei com ele; eu o livrarei e o glorificarei.

¹⁶ With long life wil I satisfie him, and shew him my saluation.

¹⁶ Vou saciá-lo com longevidade e lhe mostrarei a minha salvação.”
