1 A wise woman buildeth her house: but the foolish destroyeth it with her owne handes.
1 A mulher sábia edifica a sua casa, mas a insensata a derruba com as próprias mãos.
2 He that walketh in his righteousnes, feareth the Lord: but he that is lewde in his wayes, despiseth him.
2 Quem anda na retidão teme o mas o que anda em caminhos tortuosos, esse o despreza.
3 In the mouth of the foolish is the rod of pride: but the lippes of the wise preserue them.
3 Na boca do tolo está a vara para a sua própria soberba, mas os lábios dos sábios os protegerão.
4 Where none oxen are, there the cribbe is emptie: but much increase cometh by the strength of the oxe.
4 Quando não há bois, o celeiro fica vazio, mas pela força do boi há abundância de colheitas.
5 A faithfull witnes will not lye: but a false record will speake lyes.
5 A testemunha verdadeira não mente, mas a testemunha falsa despeja mentiras.
6 A scorner seeketh wisdome, and findeth it not: but knowledge is easie to him that will vnderstande.
6 O zombador procura a sabedoria e não a encontra, mas o sábio adquire o conhecimento com facilidade.
7 Depart from the foolish man, when thou perceiuest not in him the lippes of knowledge.
7 Fuja da presença do insensato, porque nele você não encontrará palavras de conhecimento.
8 The wisdome of ye prudent is to vnderstand his way: but the foolishnes of the fooles is deceite.
8 A sabedoria do prudente é entender o seu próprio caminho, mas a insensatez dos tolos é enganadora.
9 The foole maketh a mocke of sinne: but among the righteous there is fauour.
9 Os insensatos zombam do pecado, mas entre os retos há boa vontade.
10 The heart knoweth the bitternes of his soule, and the stranger shall not medle with his ioy.
10 O coração conhece a sua própria amargura, e da alegria que ele sente os estranhos não poderão participar.
11 The house of the wicked shalbe destroyed: but the tabernacle of the righteous shall florish.
11 A casa dos ímpios será destruída, mas a tenda dos retos florescerá.
12 There is a way that seemeth right to a man: but the issues thereof are the wayes of death.
12 Há caminho que ao ser humano parece direito, mas o fim dele é caminho de morte.
13 Euen in laughing the heart is sorowful, and the ende of that mirth is heauinesse.
13 Até no riso o coração pode ter dor, e o fim da alegria pode ser a tristeza.
14 The heart that declineth, shall be saciate with his owne wayes: but a good man shall depart from him.
14 O infiel de coração sofre as consequências dos seus próprios caminhos, mas quem é de bem é recompensado pelo seu próprio proceder.
15 The foolish will beleeue euery thing: but the prudent will consider his steppes.
15 O ingênuo dá crédito a tudo o que se diz, mas o prudente reflete antes de dar um passo.
16 A wise man feareth, and departeth from euill: but a foole rageth, and is carelesse.
16 O sábio é cauteloso e se desvia do mal, mas o tolo é afoito e se dá por seguro.
17 He that is hastie to anger, committeth follie, and a busie body is hated.
17 Quem logo se irrita comete loucuras, e aquele que tem más intenções será odiado.
18 The foolish do inherite follie: but the prudent are crowned with knowledge.
18 Os ingênuos herdam a tolice, mas os prudentes se coroam de conhecimento.
19 The euill shall bowe before the good, and the wicked at the gates of the righteous.
19 Os maus se inclinarão diante dos bons, e os ímpios farão súplicas junto às portas do justo.
20 The poore is hated euen of his own neighbour: but the friendes of the rich are many.
20 O pobre é odiado até pelo seu vizinho, mas o rico tem muitos amigos.
21 The sinner despiseth his neighbour: but he that hath mercie on the poore, is blessed.
21 Quem despreza o seu vizinho peca, mas o que se compadece dos pobres é feliz.
22 Doe not they erre that imagine euill? but to them that thinke on good things, shalbe mercie and trueth.
22 Por acaso não se afastam do caminho os que planejam o mal? Mas haverá amor e fidelidade para os que planejam o bem.
23 In all labour there is abundance: but the talke of the lippes bringeth onely want.
23 Em todo trabalho há proveito; meras palavras, porém, levam à penúria.
24 The crowne of the wise is their riches, and the follie of fooles is foolishnes.
24 Para os sábios a riqueza é coroa, mas a tolice dos insensatos não passa de tolice.
25 A faithfull witnes deliuereth soules: but a deceiuer speaketh lyes.
25 A testemunha verdadeira salva vidas, mas quem profere mentiras é enganador.
26 In the feare of the Lord is an assured strength, and his children shall haue hope.
26 Quem teme ao Senhor tem forte amparo, e isso é refúgio para os seus filhos.
27 The feare of the Lord is as a welspring of life, to auoyde the snares of death.
27 O temor do Senhor é fonte de vida para evitar os laços da morte.
28 In the multitude of the people is the honour of a King, and for the want of people commeth the destruction of the Prince.
28 Na multidão do povo está a glória do rei, mas na falta de povo está a ruína do príncipe.
29 He that is slowe to wrath, is of great wisdome: but he that is of an hastie minde, exalteth follie.
29 Quem tarda em irar-se é grande em entendimento, mas o que facilmente perde a calma faz um elogio à loucura.
30 A sounde heart is the life of the flesh: but enuie is the rotting of the bones.
30 O ânimo sereno é a vida do corpo, mas a inveja é a podridão dos ossos.
31 He that oppresseth the poore, reprooueth him that made him: but hee honoureth him, that hath mercie on the poore.
31 Quem oprime o pobre insulta aquele que o criou, mas o que se compadece do necessitado honra a Deus.
32 The wicked shall be cast away for his malice: but the righteous hath hope in his death.
32 O ímpio é derrubado pela sua maldade, mas o justo, até na morte tem esperança.
33 Wisedome resteth in the heart of him that hath vnderstanding, and is knowen in the mids of fooles.
33 No coração do prudente repousa a sabedoria, mas o que há no interior dos tolos logo se manifesta.
34 Iustice exalteth a nation, but sinne is a shame to the people.
34 A justiça é a glória da nação, mas o pecado é a vergonha dos povos.
35 The pleasure of a King is in a wise seruant: but his wrath shalbe toward him that is lewde.
35 O servo prudente recebe o favor do rei, mas o que causa vergonha é objeto do seu furor.
