Darby Bible (DARBY) vs ARA
1 My breath is corrupt, my days are extinct, the graves are mine.
1 O meu espírito se vai consumindo, os meus dias se vão apagando, e só tenho perante mim a sepultura.
2 Are there not mockers around me? and doth {not} mine eye abide in their provocation?
2 Estou, de fato, cercado de zombadores, e os meus olhos são obrigados a lhes contemplar a provocação.
3 Lay down now {a pledge}, be thou surety for me with thyself: who is he that striketh hands with me?
3 Dá-me, pois, um penhor; sê o meu fiador para contigo mesmo; quem mais haverá que se possa comprometer comigo?
4 For thou hast hidden their heart from understanding; therefore thou wilt not exalt {them}.
4 Porque ao seu coração encobriste o entendimento, pelo que não os exaltarás.
5 He that betrayeth friends for a prey-even the eyes of his children shall fail.
5 Se alguém oferece os seus amigos como presa, os olhos de seus filhos desfalecerão.
6 And he hath made me a proverb of the peoples; and I am become one to be spit on in the face.
6 Mas a mim me pôs por provérbio dos povos; tornei-me como aquele em cujo rosto se cospe.
7 And mine eye is dim by reason of grief, and all my members are as a shadow.
7 Pelo que já se escureceram de mágoa os meus olhos, e já todos os meus membros são como a sombra;
8 Upright men {shall be} astonished at this, and the innocent shall be stirred up against the ungodly;
8 os retos pasmam disto, e o inocente se levanta contra o ímpio.
9 But the righteous shall hold on his way, and he that hath clean hands shall increase in strength.
9 Contudo, o justo segue o seu caminho, e o puro de mãos cresce mais e mais em força.
10 But as for you all, pray come on again; and I shall not find one wise man among you.
10 Mas tornai-vos, todos vós, e vinde cá; porque sábio nenhum acharei entre vós.
11 My days are past, my purposes are broken off, the cherished thoughts of my heart.
11 Os meus dias passaram, e se malograram os meus propósitos, as aspirações do meu coração.
12 They change the night into day; the light {they imagine} near in presence of the darkness.
12 Convertem-me a noite em dia, e a luz, dizem, está perto das trevas.
13 If I wait, Sheol is my house; I spread my bed in the darkness:
13 Mas, se eu aguardo já a sepultura por minha casa; se nas trevas estendo a minha cama;
14 I cry to the grave, Thou art my father! to the worm, My mother, and my sister!
14 se ao sepulcro eu clamo: tu és meu pai; e aos vermes: vós sois minha mãe e minha irmã,
15 And where is then my hope? yea, my hope, who shall see it?
15 onde está, pois, a minha esperança? Sim, a minha esperança, quem a poderá ver?
16 It shall go down to the bars of Sheol, when {our} rest shall be together in the dust.
16 Ela descerá até às portas da morte, quando juntamente no pó teremos descanso.
