1 Rivulets of waters [is] the heart of a king in the hand of Jehovah, Wherever He pleaseth He inclineth it.
1 Como os rios de águas assim é o coração do rei na mão do SENHOR, ele o inclina para onde quiser.
2 Every way of a man [is] right in his own eyes, And Jehovah is pondering hearts.
2 Todo caminho do homem é certo aos seus próprios olhos, mas o SENHOR pondera os corações.
3 To do righteousness and judgment, Is chosen of Jehovah rather than sacrifice.
3 Fazer justiça e juízo é mais aceitável ao SENHOR do que sacrifício.
4 Loftiness of eyes, and breadth of heart, Tillage of the wicked [is] sin.
4 O olhar altivo, um coração orgulhoso, e o lavrar dos perversos, é pecado.
5 The purposes of the diligent [are] only to advantage, And of every hasty one, only to want.
5 Os pensamentos do diligente tendem somente para a fartura, mas os de todo aquele que é apressado somente para a necessidade.
6 The making of treasures by a lying tongue, [Is] a vanity driven away of those seeking death.
6 A obtenção de tesouros por meio de uma língua mentirosa é uma vaidade passageira daqueles que buscam a morte.
7 The spoil of the wicked catcheth them, Because they have refused to do judgment.
7 O roubo dos perversos os destruirá, porque se recusam a fazer justiça.
8 Froward [is] the way of a man who is vile, And the pure -- upright [is] his work.
8 O caminho do homem é perverso e estranho, mas quanto ao puro, sua obra é reta.
9 Better to sit on a corner of the roof, Than [with] a woman of contentions and a house of company.
9 É melhor habitar no canto do eirado, do que com uma mulher briguenta em uma casa ampla.
10 The soul of the wicked hath desired evil, Not gracious in his eyes is his neighbour.
10 A alma do perverso deseja o mal; o seu próximo não encontra favor em seus olhos.
11 When the scorner is punished, the simple becometh wise, And in giving understanding to the wise He receiveth knowledge.
11 Quando o escarnecedor é punido, o simples faz-se sábio; e quando o sábio é instruído, recebe o conhecimento.
12 The Righteous One is acting wisely Towards the house of the wicked, He is overthrowing the wicked for wickedness.
12 O homem justo considera sabiamente a casa dos perversos, mas Deus derruba os perversos por causa de sua perversidade.
13 Whoso is shutting his ear from the cry of the poor, He also doth cry, and is not answered.
13 O que tampa os seus ouvidos ao clamor dos pobres, ele mesmo também clamará, mas não será ouvido.
14 A gift in secret pacifieth anger, And a bribe in the bosom strong fury.
14 Um presente que se dá em secreto pacifica a ira; e o presente posto no seio, põe fim à forte indignação.
15 To do justice [is] joy to the righteous, But ruin to workers of iniquity.
15 O fazer justiça é alegria para o justo, mas destruição haverá aos que obram iniquidade.
16 A man who is wandering from the way of understanding, In an assembly of Rephaim resteth.
16 O homem que anda desviado do caminho do entendimento permanecerá na congregação dos mortos.
17 Whoso [is] loving mirth [is] a poor man, Whoso is loving wine and oil maketh no wealth.
17 Aquele que ama o prazer será um homem pobre; aquele que ama o vinho e o azeite não enriquecerá.
18 The wicked [is] an atonement for the righteous, And for the upright the treacherous dealer.
18 O perverso será um resgate para o justo, e o transgressor para o reto.
19 Better to dwell in a wilderness land, Than [with] a woman of contentions and anger.
19 É melhor morar no deserto, do que com uma mulher contenciosa e irritada.
20 A treasure to be desired, and oil, [Is] in the habitation of the wise, And a foolish man swalloweth it up.
20 Há tesouro desejável e azeite na habitação do sábio, mas o homem tolo gasta tudo.
21 Whoso is pursuing righteousness and kindness, Findeth life, righteousness, and honour.
21 Aquele que segue a justiça e a misericórdia achará a vida, a justiça e a honra.
22 A city of the mighty hath the wise gone up, And bringeth down the strength of its confidence.
22 Um homem sábio mede a cidade do poderoso e humilha a força da sua confiança.
23 Whoso is keeping his mouth and his tongue, Is keeping from adversities his soul.
23 Quem guarda a sua boca e a sua língua, guarda sua alma de problemas.
24 Proud, haughty, scorner [is] his name, Who is working in the wrath of pride.
24 Escarnecedor é o nome do orgulhoso e arrogante, aquele que procede com ira orgulhosa.
25 The desire of the slothful slayeth him, For his hands have refused to work.
25 O desejo do preguiçoso o mata, porque as suas mãos se recusam a trabalhar.
26 All the day desiring he hath desired, And the righteous giveth and withholdeth not.
26 Ele ambiciona gananciosamente o dia inteiro, mas o justo dá, e nada poupa.
27 The sacrifice of the wicked [is] abomination, Much more when in wickedness he bringeth it.
27 O sacrifício do perverso é abominação; quanto mais oferecendo-o com uma mente perversa!
28 A false witness doth perish, And an attentive man for ever speaketh.
28 A falsa testemunha perecerá, porém o homem que ouve, falará constantemente.
29 A wicked man hath hardened by his face, And the upright -- he prepareth his way.
29 O homem perverso endurece a sua face; mas quanto ao reto, ele direciona o seu caminho.
30 There is no wisdom, nor understanding, Nor counsel, over-against Jehovah.
30 Não há sabedoria, nem entendimento, nem conselho contra o SENHOR.
31 A horse is prepared for a day of battle, And the deliverance [is] of Jehovah!
31 O cavalo é preparado para o dia da batalha, mas a segurança é do SENHOR.
