1 A wise woman builds her house, but the foolish pulls it down with her own hands.
1 Toda mulher sábia edifica a sua casa, mas a tola a derruba com suas mãos.
2 He who walks in his uprightness fears Jehovah, but the perverse in his ways despises Him.
2 Aquele que anda na sua retidão teme ao SENHOR, mas aquele que é perverso em seus caminhos o despreza.
3 A rod of pride is in the mouth of a fool, but the lips of the wise shall keep them.
3 Na boca do tolo há uma vara para o seu orgulho, mas os lábios dos sábios os preservarão.
4 The stall is clean where there are no cattle, but much gain is by the strength of an ox.
4 Onde não há bois, o estábulo é limpo, mas pela força do boi há muito crescimento.
5 A faithful witness will not lie, but a false witness breathes lies.
5 Uma testemunha fiel não mentirá, mas uma falsa testemunha proferirá mentiras.
6 A scorner seeks wisdom, but finds it not, yet knowledge is swift to the discerning.
6 O escarnecedor busca sabedoria e não a encontra, mas o conhecimento é fácil para aquele que entende.
7 Go from before a foolish man, or you will not see the lips of knowledge.
7 Sai da presença de um homem tolo, quando não achares nele os lábios do conhecimento.
8 The wisdom of the wise is to understand his way, but the foolishness of fools is deceit.
8 A sabedoria do prudente é entender o seu caminho, mas a loucura dos tolos é o engano.
9 Fools laugh at guilt offering, but among the righteous is favor.
9 Os tolos zombam do pecado, mas entre os justos há benevolência.
10 The heart knows the bitterness of its soul, and a stranger does not mix in its joy.
10 O coração conhece a sua própria amargura, e um estranho não intervém na sua alegria.
11 The wicked's house shall be thrown down, but the tent of the upright will flourish.
11 A casa dos ímpios será derrubada, mas o tabernáculo dos retos florescerá.
12 There is a way that seems right to a man, but the end of it is the ways of death.
12 Há um caminho que parece certo ao homem, mas o seu fim são os caminhos da morte.
13 Even in laughter the heart is sorrowful, and the end of that joy is heaviness.
13 Até no riso o coração é desgostoso, e o fim da alegria é tristeza.
14 The backslider in heart shall be filled with his own ways, but a good man from himself.
14 O apóstata de coração se preencherá de seus próprios caminhos, e o bom homem se satisfará de si mesmo.
15 The simple believes every word, but the wise considers his step.
15 O simples acredita em cada palavra, mas o homem prudente olha bem por onde vai.
16 The wise fears and departs from evil, but the fool rages and is sure.
16 O homem sábio teme, e aparta-se do mal, mas o tolo se enfurece, e é confiante.
17 He who is short of temper acts foolishly; and a man of evil plots is hated.
17 Aquele que logo fica irado trata tolamente; e o homem de perversas imaginações é odiado
18 The simple inherit foolishness, but the wise are crowned with knowledge.
18 Os simples herdam a loucura, mas os prudentes são coroados com o conhecimento.
19 The evil bow before the good; yea, the wicked at the gates of the just.
19 Os maus se curvam diante dos bons, e os perversos aos portões dos justos.
20 The poor is hated even by his own neighbor, but the rich has many friends.
20 O pobre é odiado até pelo seu próprio vizinho, mas o rico tem muitos amigos.
21 He who despises his neighbor sins, but he who has mercy on the poor, Oh how happy is he!
21 Aquele que despreza o seu vizinho peca, mas aquele que tem misericórdia do pobre, feliz ele é.
22 Do not those who think evil go astray? But mercy and truth will be to those who think of good.
22 Não erram os que maquinam o mal? Mas a misericórdia e a verdade serão para aqueles que maquinam o bem.
23 In all labor there is profit, but the talk of the lips tends only to poverty.
23 Em todo trabalho há lucro, mas o falar dos lábios tende somente à pobreza.
24 The crown of the wise is their riches of wisdom ; the foolishness of fools is folly.
24 A coroa dos sábios é a sua riqueza, mas a tolice dos tolos é loucura.
25 A true witness delivers souls, but a deceitful witness speaks lies.
25 Uma testemunha verdadeira livra almas, mas uma testemunha enganosa fala mentiras.
26 In the fear of Jehovah is strong trust, and His sons shall have a hiding place.
26 No temor do SENHOR há forte confiança, e seus filhos terão um lugar de refúgio.
27 The fear of Jehovah is a fountain of life, to turn away from snares of death.
27 O temor do SENHOR é fonte de vida, para desviar dos laços da morte.
28 In the multitude of people is the king's glory, but in the lack of people is the ruin of a prince.
28 Na multidão do povo está a honra do rei, mas na falta de povo está a destruição do príncipe.
29 One slow to anger is of great understanding, but he who is short of spirit exalts folly.
29 Aquele que é tardio em irar-se é grande em entendimento, mas aquele que é de espírito impaciente, exalta a loucura.
30 A healthy heart is the life of the flesh, but envy is the rottenness of the bones.
30 O coração sadio é a vida da carne, mas a inveja é a podridão dos ossos.
31 He who oppresses the poor curses his Maker, but he who honors Him has mercy on the needy.
31 Aquele que oprime o pobre afronta o seu Criador, mas aquele que o honra tem misericórdia dos pobres.
32 The wicked is thrust out in his wickedness, but the righteous has hope in his death.
32 Os perversos são desviados em sua maldade, mas o justo tem esperança em sua morte.
33 Wisdom rests in the heart of the intelligent, but among fools it is revealed.
33 A sabedoria repousa no coração daquele que tem entendimento, mas aquele que está no meio dos tolos se faz conhecido.
34 Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a shame to any people.
34 A justiça exalta uma nação; mas o pecado é um opróbrio para qualquer povo.
35 The king's favor is toward a servant who acts prudently, but his wrath takes place on one causing shame.
35 O favor do rei é direcionado ao servo sábio, mas sua ira é contra aquele que causa vergonha.
