¹ It is good to give thanks to Yahweh, And to sing praises unto thy Name, O Most High;

¹ Como é bom render graças ao Senhor e cantar louvores ao teu nome, ó Altíssimo,

² To declare, in the morning, thy lovingkindness, And thy faithfulness at night;

² anunciar de manhã o teu amor leal e de noite a tua fidelidade,

³ Upon an instrument of ten strings, and upon a harp, With resounding music on the lyre.

⁴ For thou hat made me glad, O Yahweh, in thy doing, In the works of thy hands, will I shout for joy.

⁴ Tu me alegras, Senhor, com os teus feitos; as obras das tuas mãos levam-me a cantar de alegria.

⁵ How great have grown thy works, Yahweh, very deep are laid thy plans!

⁵ Como são grandes as tuas obras, Senhor, como são profundos os teus propósitos!

⁶ A man that is brutish, cannot know, And, dullard, cannot discern this:

⁶ O insensato não entende, o tolo não vê

⁷ When the lawless do thrive like grass, And all the workers of iniquity have blossomed, It is that they may be destroyed for ever.

⁸ But, thou, shalt be on high age-abidingly, O Yahweh.

⁸ Pois tu, Senhor, és exaltado para sempre.

⁹ For lo! thine enemies, Yahweh, For lo! thine enemies, shall perish, They shall be scatteredall the workers of iniquity;

⁹ Mas os teus inimigos, Senhor, os teus inimigos perecerão; serão dispersos todos os malfeitores!

¹⁰ But thou wilt exalt, as the buffalo, my horn, I have been anointed, with fresh oil.

¹⁰ Tu aumentaste a minha força como a do boi selvagem; derramaste sobre mim óleo novo.

¹¹ So hath mine eye descried them who were lying in wait for me,Of my wicked assailants, mine ears, shall hear.

¹¹ Os meus olhos contemplaram a derrota dos meus inimigos; os meus ouvidos escutaram a debandada dos meus maldosos agressores.

¹² The righteous, like the palm-tree, shall thrive, Like the cedar in Lebanon, shall he grow;

¹² Os justos florescerão como a palmeira, crescerão como o cedro do Líbano;

¹³ They who are planted in the house of Yahweh, In the courts of our God, shall flourish;

¹³ plantados na casa do Senhor, florescerão nos átrios do nosso Deus.

¹⁴ Still shall they bear fruit in old age, Vigorous and fresh, shall they be:

¹⁴ Mesmo na velhice darão fruto, permanecerão viçosos e verdejantes,

¹⁵ To declare that upright is Yahweh, My Rock, and no perversity in him.
