1 It is good to give thanks to Yahweh, And to sing praises unto thy Name, O Most High;
1 Bom é render graças ao Senhor e cantar louvores ao teu nome, ó Altíssimo,
2 To declare, in the morning, thy lovingkindness, And thy faithfulness at night;
2 anunciar de manhã a tua misericórdia e, durante as noites, a tua fidelidade,
3 Upon an instrument of ten strings, and upon a harp, With resounding music on the lyre.
3 com instrumentos de dez cordas, ao som da lira e com a solenidade da harpa.
4 For thou hat made me glad, O Yahweh, in thy doing, In the works of thy hands, will I shout for joy.
4 Pois me alegraste, Senhor , com os teus feitos; exultarei nas obras das tuas mãos.
5 How great have grown thy works, Yahweh, very deep are laid thy plans!
5 Como são grandes, Senhor , as tuas obras! Os teus pensamentos, que profundos!
6 A man that is brutish, cannot know, And, dullard, cannot discern this:
6 O tolo não compreende, e o insensato não percebe isto:
7 When the lawless do thrive like grass, And all the workers of iniquity have blossomed, It is that they may be destroyed for ever.
7 ainda que os ímpios brotem como a erva, e floresçam todos os que praticam a iniquidade, serão destruídos para sempre.
8 But, thou, shalt be on high age-abidingly, O Yahweh.
8 Mas tu, Senhor , és o Altíssimo eternamente.
9 For lo! thine enemies, Yahweh, For lo! thine enemies, shall perish, They shall be scatteredall the workers of iniquity;
9 Eis que os teus inimigos, Senhor , eis que os teus inimigos perecerão; serão dispersos todos os que praticam a iniquidade.
10 But thou wilt exalt, as the buffalo, my horn, I have been anointed, with fresh oil.
10 Porém tu exaltas o meu poder como o do boi selvagem; derramas sobre mim o óleo fresco.
11 So hath mine eye descried them who were lying in wait for me,Of my wicked assailants, mine ears, shall hear.
11 Os meus olhos veem a derrota dos inimigos que me espreitam, e os meus ouvidos escutam os gritos dos malfeitores que contra mim se levantam.
12 The righteous, like the palm-tree, shall thrive, Like the cedar in Lebanon, shall he grow;
12 O justo florescerá como a palmeira, crescerá como o cedro no Líbano.
13 They who are planted in the house of Yahweh, In the courts of our God, shall flourish;
13 Plantados na Casa do Senhor , florescerão nos átrios do nosso Deus.
14 Still shall they bear fruit in old age, Vigorous and fresh, shall they be:
14 Na velhice ainda darão frutos, serão cheios de seiva e de verdor,
15 To declare that upright is Yahweh, My Rock, and no perversity in him.
15 para anunciar que o Ele é a minha rocha, e nele não há injustiça.
