1 It is good to give thanks to Yahweh, And to sing praises unto thy Name, O Most High;
1 Salmo ou Canção para o dia do Shabat. Bom é dar graças ao SENHOR, e cantar louvores ao teu nome, ó Altíssimo.
2 To declare, in the morning, thy lovingkindness, And thy faithfulness at night;
2 Para anunciar a tua benignidade de manhã, e a tua fidelidade toda noite.
3 Upon an instrument of ten strings, and upon a harp, With resounding music on the lyre.
3 Sobre um instrumento de dez cordas, e sobre o saltério; sobre a harpa com um som solene.
4 For thou hat made me glad, O Yahweh, in thy doing, In the works of thy hands, will I shout for joy.
4 Pois tu, SENHOR, fizeste-me feliz por meio da tua obra; triunfarei nas obras das tuas mãos.
5 How great have grown thy works, Yahweh, very deep are laid thy plans!
5 Ó SENHOR, quão grandes são as tuas obras! E os teus pensamentos são mui profundos.
6 A man that is brutish, cannot know, And, dullard, cannot discern this:
6 Um homem brutal não conhece; nem um tolo entende isto.
7 When the lawless do thrive like grass, And all the workers of iniquity have blossomed, It is that they may be destroyed for ever.
7 Quando os perversos brotam como a grama, e quando todos os trabalhadores da iniquidade florescerem, é que serão destruídos para sempre.
8 But, thou, shalt be on high age-abidingly, O Yahweh.
8 Mas tu, SENHOR, és Altíssimo para sempre.
9 For lo! thine enemies, Yahweh, For lo! thine enemies, shall perish, They shall be scatteredall the workers of iniquity;
9 Pois eis que os teus inimigos, ó SENHOR, pois eis que os teus inimigos perecerão; todos os trabalhadores da iniquidade serão dispersados.
10 But thou wilt exalt, as the buffalo, my horn, I have been anointed, with fresh oil.
10 Mas o meu chifre tu exaltarás como o chifre de um unicórnio; eu serei ungido com óleo fresco.
11 So hath mine eye descried them who were lying in wait for me,Of my wicked assailants, mine ears, shall hear.
11 Meu olho também verá o meu desejo sobre os meus inimigos, e os meus ouvidos ouvirão o meu desejo sobre os perversos que se levantam contra mim.
12 The righteous, like the palm-tree, shall thrive, Like the cedar in Lebanon, shall he grow;
12 O justo florescerá como a palmeira; ele crescerá como o cedro no Líbano.
13 They who are planted in the house of Yahweh, In the courts of our God, shall flourish;
13 Aqueles que estão plantados na casa do SENHOR florescerão nos átrios do nosso Deus.
14 Still shall they bear fruit in old age, Vigorous and fresh, shall they be:
14 Eles gerarão frutos na velhice; serão gordos e prósperos.
15 To declare that upright is Yahweh, My Rock, and no perversity in him.
15 Para mostrarem que o SENHOR é justo; ele é a minha rocha, e não há injustiça nele.
