¹ He who lives under the shelter of the Most High will remain in the shadow of the Almighty.

¹ Aquele que habita no lugar secreto do Altíssimo, permanecerá debaixo da sombra do Onipotente.

² I will say to Jehovah: »You are my refuge and my fortress, my God in whom I trust.«

² Eu direi do SENHOR: Ele é o meu refúgio e a minha fortaleza, meu Deus; nele eu confiarei.

³ He is the one who will rescue you from the bird hunters trap fowlers snare and from deadly plagues.

³ Certamente ele te livrará do laço do passarinheiro e da peste perniciosa.

⁴ He will cover you with his pinions, and under his wings you will find refuge. His truth is your shield and armor.

⁴ Ele te cobrirá com as suas penas, e debaixo das suas asas confiarás; sua verdade será o teu escudo e broquel.

⁵ You will not be afraid of the terror of the night and arrows that fly during the day,

⁵ Tu não ficarás com medo pelo terror à noite, nem pela flecha que voa de dia.

⁶ plagues that roam the dark, epidemics that strike at noon.

⁶ Nem pela peste que anda nas trevas, nem pela destruição que devasta ao meio-dia.

⁷ They will not come near you, even though a thousand may fall dead beside you or ten thousand at your right side.

⁷ Mil cairão ao teu lado, e dez mil à tua direita; mas isso não chegará perto de ti.

⁸ You only have to look with your eyes to see the punishment of wicked people.

¹⁰ No harm will come to you. No sickness will come near your house.

¹⁰ Nenhum mal te sucederá, nem praga nenhuma chegará perto da tua habitação.

¹¹ He will put his angels in charge of you to protect you in all your ways.

¹² They will carry you in their hands so that you never strike your foot against a rock.

¹³ You will step on lions and cobras. You will trample underfoot young lions and snakes.

¹⁴ Because you love me, I will rescue you. I will protect you because you know my name.

¹⁵ When you call to me, I will answer you. I will be with you when you are in trouble. I will deliver you and honor you.

¹⁵ Ele clamará por mim, e eu o responderei; estarei com ele na tribulação; eu o livrarei e o honrarei.

¹⁶ I will satisfy you with a long life. I will show you my salvation.

¹⁶ Com vida longa eu o satisfarei, e lhe mostrarei a minha salvação.
