1 Behold, my eyes have seen all [this]; my ears have heard and understood it.
1 Eis que os meus olhos têm visto tudo isto, e os meus ouvidos ouviram e entenderam.
2 As you know it, I know it; I [am] not inferior unto you.
2 O que vós o sabeis, o mesmo eu também sei; eu não sou inferior a vós.
3 But I would speak with the Almighty, and I desired to dispute with God.
3 Certamente eu quero falar com o Todo-Poderoso, e desejo argumentar com Deus.
4 That ye are certainly forgers of lies; ye [are] all physicians of no value.
4 Mas vós sois forjadores de mentiras, vós todos sois médicos sem valor.
5 O that ye would altogether be silent! And it would be unto you [instead of] wisdom.
5 Ah, quem dera que calásseis de uma vez! isso seria a vossa sabedoria.
6 Hear now my dispute, and hearken to the arguments of my lips.
6 Ouvi agora o meu raciocínio, e escutai os argumentos dos meus lábios.
7 Are ye to speak iniquity for God? Are ye to speak deceitfully for him?
7 Falareis perversamente por Deus? E falareis enganosamente por ele?
8 Are ye to bring honour unto him? Are ye to contend for God?
8 Fareis acepção da sua pessoa? Contendereis por Deus?
9 Would it be good for him to search you out? As one man mocks another, do ye [so] mock him?
9 Seria bom se ele vos examinasse? Ou como um homem zomba do outro, assim zombareis dele?
10 He will reprove you severely, if in secret you give him such honour.
10 Ele certamente vos reprovará, se secretamente julgardes as pessoas.
11 Certainly his excellency should make you afraid, and his dread should fall upon you.
11 Sua excelência não vos deixará temerosos, e não cairá sobre vós o seu pavor?
12 Your memories shall be compared unto ashes, your bodies to bodies of clay.
12 As vossas lembranças são como cinzas; vossos corpos como corpos de barro.
13 Listen to me, and I will speak, and afterward let come on me what [will].
13 Ficai quietos, deixai-me sozinho para que eu possa falar, e deixai vir sobre mim o que for.
14 Why shall I take my flesh in my teeth and put my life in the palm of my [hand]?
14 Por que razão tomo minha carne com os meus dentes, e ponho a minha vida na minha mão?
15 Though he slay me, yet I will trust in him; but I will defend my ways before him.
15 Ainda que ele me mate, contudo eu confiarei nele; mas manterei meus próprios caminhos diante dele.
16 He also [shall be] my saving health; for the hypocrite shall not enter into his presence.
16 Ele também será a minha salvação; porque um hipócrita não virá perante ele.
17 Hear diligently my reason and my declaration with your ears.
17 Ouvi diligentemente meu discurso, e a minha declaração com os vossos ouvidos.
18 Behold now, if I draw near unto the judgment; I know that I shall be justified.
18 Eis que agora eu tenho ordenado a minha causa, e sei que eu serei justificado.
19 Who [is] he [that] will contend with me? For now, if I remain silent, I shall die.
19 Quem é o que pleiteará comigo? Porque agora, se eu retiver a minha língua, eu darei o espírito.
20 At the least, grant me these two things; then I will not hide myself from thee:
20 Somente duas coisas não faças para comigo; então eu não me esconderei de ti:
21 withdraw thy hand from me; and let not thy dread make me afraid.
21 Retira a tua mão para longe de mim, e não permita que o teu pavor me atemorize.
22 Then call, and I will answer; or let me speak, and answer thou me.
22 Então chama e eu responderei; ou deixa-me falar e responde-me.
23 How many [are] my iniquities and sins? Make me to know my transgression and my sin.
23 Quantos são minhas iniquidades e pecados? Faz-me conhecer minha transgressão e o meu pecado.
24 Why dost thou hide thy face, and hold me for thine enemy?
24 Por que escondes a tua face, e me tens por teu inimigo?
25 Wilt thou break a leaf driven to and fro? Wilt thou pursue the dry stubble?
25 Quebrarás uma folha levada pelo vento de lá para cá? E perseguirás o restolho seco?
26 Why dost thou write bitter things against me and make me carry the iniquities of my youth.
26 Porque escreves coisas amargas contra mim, e me fazes possuir as iniquidades da minha juventude.
27 Thou dost put my feet also in the stocks and look narrowly unto all my paths; thou dost set a print upon the heels of my feet.
27 Também pões os meus pés no cepo, e olhas estreitamente para todos os meus caminhos, e pões uma marca nos calcanhares dos meus pés.
28 And [man], is as a rotten thing that is being consumed, as a garment that is moth eaten.:
28 E ele, como a uma coisa podre, consome, como uma roupa que é comida pela traça.
