GOD'S WORD (ENGGW) vs ARIB
1 Again Jesus used stories as illustrations when he spoke to them. He said,
1 Então Jesus tornou a falar-lhes por parábolas, dizendo:
2 “The kingdom of heaven is like a king who planned a wedding for his son.
2 O reino dos céus é semelhante a um rei, que celebrou as bodas de seu filho.
3 He sent his servants to those who had been invited to the wedding, but they refused to come.
3 Enviou os seus servos a chamar os convidados para a festa, e estes não quiseram vir.
4 He sent other servants to tell the people who had been invited, ‘I’ve prepared dinner. My bulls and fattened calves have been butchered. Everything is ready. Come to the wedding!’
4 Enviou ainda outros servos com este recado: Dizei aos convidados: Tenho já preparado o meu banquete; as minhas reses e os meus cevados estão mortos, e tudo está pronto; vinde às bodas.
5 “But they paid no attention and went away. Some went to work in their own fields, and others went to their businesses.
5 Mas eles não fizeram caso e foram, um para o seu campo, outro para o seu negócio;
6 The rest grabbed the king’s servants, mistreated them, and then killed them.
6 e os outros, agarrando os servos, os ultrajaram e mataram.
7 “The king became angry. He sent his soldiers, killed those murderers, and burned their city.
7 Irou-se o rei, e mandou as suas tropas exterminar aqueles assassinos e incendiar a sua cidade.
8 “Then the king said to his servants, ‘The wedding is ready, but those who were invited don’t deserve the honor.
8 Então disse aos servos: As bodas estão preparadas, mas os convidados não eram dignos;
9 Go where the roads leave the city. Invite everyone you find to the wedding.’
9 ide, pois, às encruzilhadas dos caminhos e chamai para as bodas a quantos encontrardes.
10 The servants went into the streets and brought in all the good people and all the evil people they found. And the wedding hall was filled with guests.
10 Indo aqueles servos pelos caminhos, reuniram todos os que encontraram, maus e bons; e a sala nupcial ficou cheia de convivas.
11 “When the king came to see the guests, he saw a person who was not dressed in the wedding clothes ⌞provided for the guests⌟.
11 Mas entrando o rei para ver os convivas, notou ali um homem que não trajava veste nupcial,
12 He said to him, ‘Friend, how did you get in here without proper wedding clothes?’
12 e perguntou-lhe: Amigo, como entraste aqui sem veste nupcial? Ele, porém, emudeceu.
13 Then the king told his servants, ‘Tie his hands and feet, and throw him outside into the darkness. People will cry and be in extreme pain there.’
13 Então o rei disse aos servos: Atai-o de pés e mãos, e lançai-o nas trevas exteriores; ali haverá o choro e o ranger de dentes.
14 “Therefore, many are invited, but few of those are chosen to stay.”
14 Pois muitos são chamados, mas poucos escolhidos.
15 Then the Pharisees went away and planned to trap Jesus into saying the wrong thing.
15 Então os fariseus se retiraram e consultaram entre si como o apanhariam em alguma palavra;
16 They sent their disciples to him along with Herod’s followers. They said to him, “Teacher, we know that you tell the truth and that you teach the truth about the way of God. You don’t favor individuals because of who they are.
16 Enviaram os seus discípulos, juntamente com os herodianos, a perguntar: Mestre, sabemos que és verdadeiro e que ensinas o caminho de Deus segundo a verdade, e não se te dá de ninguém, porque não te deixas levar de respeitos humanos;
17 So tell us what you think. Is it right to pay taxes to the emperor or not?”
17 dize-nos, pois, qual é o teu parecer; é lícito ou não pagar o tributo a César?
18 Jesus recognized their evil plan, so he asked, “Why do you test me, you hypocrites?
18 Porém Jesus, tendo percebido a malícia deles, respondeu-lhes: Por que me experimentais, hipócritas?
19 Show me a coin used to pay taxes.”
19 Mostrai-me uma moeda de tributo. Trouxeram-lhe um denário.
20 He said to them, “Whose face and name is this?”
20 Ele perguntou: De quem é esta efígie e inscrição?
21 They replied, “The emperor’s.”
21 Responderam: De César. Então lhes disse Jesus: Dai, pois, a César o que é de César, e a Deus o que é de Deus.
22 They were surprised to hear this. Then they left him alone and went away.
22 Ao ouvirem isto, admiraram-se e, deixando-o, foram-se.
23 On that day some Sadducees, who say that people will never come back to life, came to Jesus. They asked him,
23 No mesmo dia vieram alguns saduceus, que dizem não haver ressurreição, e o interrogaram, dizendo:
24 “Teacher, Moses said, ‘If a man dies childless, his brother should marry his widow and have children for his brother.’
24 Mestre, Moisés disse: Se alguém morrer sem deixar filhos, seu irmão casará com a viúva e dará sucessão ao falecido.
25 There were seven brothers among us. The first married and died. Since he had no children, he left his widow to his brother.
25 Ora havia entre nós sete irmãos: o primeiro, depois de ter casado, morreu e, não havendo sucessão, deixou sua mulher a seu irmão;
26 The second brother also died, as well as the third, and the rest of the seven brothers.
26 do mesmo modo também o segundo e o terceiro, até o sétimo.
27 At last the woman died.
27 Depois de todos eles morreu a mulher.
28 Now, when the dead come back to life, whose wife will she be? All seven brothers had been married to her.”
28 Na ressurreição, pois, a qual dos sete pertencerá a mulher? porque todos foram casados com ela.
29 Jesus answered, “You’re mistaken because you don’t know the Scriptures or God’s power.
29 Respondeu-lhes Jesus: Errais, não sabendo as Escrituras, nem o poder de Deus.
30 When people come back to life, they don’t marry. Rather, they are like the angels in heaven.
30 Pois na ressurreição nem os homens casam, nem as mulheres são dadas em casamento porém são como os anjos no céu.
31 Haven’t you read what God told you about the dead coming back to life? He said,
31 E, quanto à ressurreição dos mortos, não lestes o que foi dito por Deus:
32 ‘I am the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.’ He’s not the God of the dead but of the living.”
32 Eu sou o Deus de Abraão, o Deus de Isaque, e o Deus de Jacó? Ora, ele não é Deus de mortos, mas de vivos.
33 He amazed the crowds who heard his teaching.
33 E as multidões, ouvindo isso, se maravilhavam da sua doutrina.
34 When the Pharisees heard that Jesus had silenced the Sadducees, they gathered together.
34 Os fariseus, quando souberam, que ele fizera emudecer os saduceus, reuniram-se todos;
35 One of them, an expert in Moses’ Teachings, tested Jesus by asking,
35 e um deles, doutor da lei, para o experimentar, interrogou-o, dizendo:
36 “Teacher, which commandment is the greatest in Moses’ Teachings?”
36 Mestre, qual é o grande mandamento na lei?
37 Jesus answered him, “ ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’
37 Respondeu-lhe Jesus: Amarás ao Senhor teu Deus de todo o teu coração, de toda a tua alma, e de todo o teu entendimento.
38 This is the greatest and most important commandment.
38 Este é o grande e primeiro mandamento.
39 The second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as you love yourself.’
39 E o segundo, semelhante a este, é: Amarás ao teu próximo como a ti mesmo.
40 All of Moses’ Teachings and the Prophets depend on these two commandments.”
40 Destes dois mandamentos dependem toda a lei e os profetas.
41 While the Pharisees were still gathered, Jesus asked them,
41 Ora, enquanto os fariseus estavam reunidos, interrogou-os Jesus, dizendo:
42 “What do you think about the Messiah? Whose son is he?”
42 Que pensais vós do Cristo? De quem é filho? Responderam-lhe: De Davi.
43 He said to them, “Then how can David, guided by the Spirit, call him Lord? David says,
43 Replicou-lhes ele: Como é então que Davi, no Espírito, lhe chama Senhor, dizendo:
44 ‘The Lord said to my Lord,
44 Disse o Senhor ao meu Senhor: Assenta-te à minha direita, até que eu ponha os teus inimigos de baixo dos teus pés?
45 If David calls him Lord, how can he be his son?”
45 Se Davi, pois, lhe chama Senhor, como é ele seu filho?
46 No one could answer him, and from that time on no one dared to ask him another question.
46 E ninguém podia responder-lhe palavra; nem desde aquele dia jamais ousou alguém interrogá-lo.
