Darby Bible (DARBY) vs ARA
1 And Zophar the Naamathite answered and said,
1 Então, respondeu Zofar, o naamatita:
2 Therefore do my thoughts give me an answer, and for this is my haste within me.
2 Visto que os meus pensamentos me impõem resposta, eu me apresso.
3 I hear a reproof putting me to shame; and {my} spirit answereth me by mine understanding.
3 Eu ouvi a repreensão, que me envergonha, mas o meu espírito me obriga a responder segundo o meu entendimento.
4 Knowest thou {not} this, that of old, since man was placed upon earth,
4 Porventura, não sabes tu que desde todos os tempos, desde que o homem foi posto sobre a terra,
5 The exultation of the wicked is short, and the joy of the ungodly man but for a moment?
5 o júbilo dos perversos é breve, e a alegria dos ímpios, momentânea?
6 Though his height mount up to the heavens, and his head reach unto the clouds,
6 Ainda que a sua presunção remonte aos céus, e a sua cabeça atinja as nuvens,
7 Like his own dung doth he perish for ever; they which have seen him shall say, Where is he?
7 como o seu próprio esterco, apodrecerá para sempre; e os que o conheceram dirão: Onde está?
8 He flieth away as a dream, and is not found; and is chased away as a vision of the night.
8 Voará como um sonho e não será achado, será afugentado como uma visão da noite.
9 The eye which saw him shall {see him} not again; and his place beholdeth him no more.
9 Os olhos que o viram jamais o verão, e o seu lugar não o verá outra vez.
10 His children shall seek the favour of the poor, and his hands restore his wealth.
10 Os seus filhos procurarão aplacar aos pobres, e as suas mãos lhes restaurarão os seus bens.
11 His bones were full of his youthful strength; but it shall lie down with him in the dust.
11 Ainda que os seus ossos estejam cheios do vigor da sua juventude, esse vigor se deitará com ele no pó.
12 Though wickedness be sweet in his mouth {and} he hide it under his tongue,
12 Ainda que o mal lhe seja doce na boca, e ele o esconda debaixo da língua,
13 {Though} he spare it, and forsake it not, but keep it within his mouth,
13 e o saboreie, e o não deixe; antes, o retenha no seu paladar,
14 His food is turned in his bowels; it is the gall of asps within him.
14 contudo, a sua comida se transformará nas suas entranhas; fel de áspides será no seu interior.
15 He hath swallowed down riches, but he shall vomit them up again: *God shall cast them out of his belly.
15 Engoliu riquezas, mas vomitá-las-á; do seu ventre Deus as lançará.
16 He shall suck the poison of asps; the viper's tongue shall kill him.
16 Veneno de áspides sorveu; língua de víbora o matará.
17 He shall not see streams, rivers, brooks of honey and butter.
17 Não se deliciará com a vista dos ribeiros e dos rios transbordantes de mel e de leite.
18 That which he laboured for shall he restore, and not swallow down; its restitution shall be according to the value, and he shall not rejoice {therein}.
18 Devolverá o fruto do seu trabalho e não o engolirá; do lucro de sua barganha não tirará prazer nenhum.
19 For he hath oppressed, hath forsaken the poor; he hath violently taken away a house that he did not build.
19 Oprimiu e desamparou os pobres, roubou casas que não edificou.
20 Because he knew no rest in his craving, he shall save nought of what he most desired.
20 Por não haver limites à sua cobiça, não chegará a salvar as coisas por ele desejadas.
21 Nothing escaped his greediness; therefore his prosperity shall not endure.
21 Nada escapou à sua cobiça insaciável, pelo que a sua prosperidade não durará.
22 In the fulness of his sufficiency he shall be in straits; every hand of the wretched shall come upon him.
22 Na plenitude da sua abastança, ver-se-á angustiado; toda a força da miséria virá sobre ele.
23 It shall be that, to fill his belly, he will cast his fierce anger upon him, and will rain it upon him into his flesh.
23 Para encher a sua barriga, Deus mandará sobre ele o furor da sua ira, que, por alimento, mandará chover sobre ele.
24 If he have fled from the iron weapon, the bow of brass shall strike him through.
24 Se fugir das armas de ferro, o arco de bronze o traspassará.
25 He draweth it forth; it cometh out of his body, and the glittering point out of his gall: terrors are upon him.
25 Ele arranca das suas costas a flecha, e esta vem resplandecente do seu fel; e haverá assombro sobre ele.
26 All darkness is laid up for his treasures: a fire not blown shall devour him; it shall feed upon what is left in his tent.
26 Todas as calamidades serão reservadas contra os seus tesouros; fogo não assoprado o consumirá, fogo que se apascentará do que ficar na sua tenda.
27 The heavens shall reveal his iniquity, and the earth shall rise up against him.
27 Os céus lhe manifestarão a sua iniquidade; e a terra se levantará contra ele.
28 The increase of his house shall depart, flowing away in the day of his anger.
28 As riquezas de sua casa serão transportadas; como água serão derramadas no dia da ira de Deus.
29 This is the portion of the wicked man from God, and the heritage appointed to him by *God.
29 Tal é, da parte de Deus, a sorte do homem perverso, tal a herança decretada por Deus.
