1 Bless, O my soul, Jehovah! Jehovah, my God, Thou hast been very great, Honour and majesty Thou hast put on.
1 Bendize, ó minha alma, ao Senhor ! Senhor , Deus meu, tu és magnificentíssimo; estás vestido de glória e de majestade.
2 Covering himself [with] light as a garment, Stretching out the heavens as a curtain,
2 Ele cobre-se de luz como de uma veste, estende os céus como uma cortina.
3 Who is laying the beam of His upper chambers in the waters, Who is making thick clouds His chariot, Who is walking on wings of wind,
3 Põe nas águas os vigamentos das suas câmaras, faz das nuvens o seu carro e anda sobre as asas do vento.
4 Making His messengers -- the winds, His ministers -- the flaming fire.
4 Faz dos ventos seus mensageiros, dos seus ministros, um fogo abrasador.
5 He hath founded earth on its bases, It is not moved to the age and for ever.
5 Lançou os fundamentos da terra, para que não vacile em tempo algum.
6 The abyss! as with clothing Thou hast covered it, Above hills do waters stand.
6 Tu a cobriste com o abismo, como com uma veste; as águas estavam sobre os montes;
7 From Thy rebuke they flee, From the voice of Thy thunder haste away.
7 à tua repreensão, fugiram; à voz do teu trovão, se apressaram.
8 They go up hills -- they go down valleys, Unto a place Thou hast founded for them.
8 Subiram aos montes, desceram aos vales, até ao lugar que para elas fundaste.
9 A border Thou hast set, they pass not over, They turn not back to cover the earth.
9 Limite lhes traçaste, que não ultrapassarão, para que não tornem mais a cobrir a terra.
10 Who is sending forth fountains in valleys, Between hills they go on.
10 Tu, que nos vales fazes rebentar nascentes que correm entre os montes.
11 They water every beast of the field, Wild asses break their thirst.
11 Dão de beber a todos os animais do campo; os jumentos monteses matam com elas a sua sede.
12 By them the fowl of the heavens doth dwell, From between the branches They give forth the voice.
12 Junto delas habitam as aves do céu, cantando entre os ramos.
13 Watering hills from His upper chambers, From the fruit of Thy works is the earth satisfied.
13 Ele rega os montes desde as suas câmaras; a terra farta-se do fruto das suas obras.
14 Causing grass to spring up for cattle, And herb for the service of man, To bring forth bread from the earth,
14 Ele faz crescer a erva para os animais e a verdura, para o serviço do homem, para que tire da terra o alimento
15 And wine -- it rejoiceth the heart of man, To cause the face to shine from oil, And bread -- the heart of man it supporteth.
15 e o vinho que alegra o seu coração; ele faz reluzir o seu rosto com o azeite e o pão, que fortalece o seu coração.
16 Satisfied [are] the trees of Jehovah, Cedars of Lebanon that He hath planted,
16 Satisfazem-se as árvores do Senhor , os cedros do Líbano que ele plantou,
17 Where birds do make nests, The stork -- the firs [are] her house.
17 onde as aves se aninham; quanto à cegonha, a sua casa é nas faias.
18 The high hills [are] for wild goats, Rocks [are] a refuge for conies,
18 Os altos montes são um refúgio para as cabras monteses, e as rochas, para os coelhos.
19 He made the moon for seasons, The sun hath known his place of entrance.
19 Designou a lua para as estações; o sol conhece o seu ocaso.
20 Thou settest darkness, and it is night, In it doth every beast of the forest creep.
20 Ordenas a escuridão, e faz-se noite, na qual saem todos os animais da selva.
21 The young lions are roaring for prey, And to seek from God their food.
21 Os leõezinhos bramam pela presa e de Deus buscam o seu sustento.
22 The sun riseth, they are gathered, And in their dens they crouch.
22 Nasce o sol e logo se recolhem e se deitam nos seus covis.
23 Man goeth forth to his work, And to his service -- till evening.
23 Então, sai o homem para a sua lida e para o seu trabalho, até à tarde.
24 How many have been Thy works, O Jehovah, All of them in wisdom Thou hast made, Full is the earth of thy possessions.
24 Ó Senhor , quão variadas são as tuas obras! Todas as coisas fizeste com sabedoria; cheia está a terra das tuas riquezas.
25 This, the sea, great and broad of sides, There [are] moving things -- innumerable, Living creatures -- small with great.
25 Tal é este vasto e espaçoso mar, onde se movem seres inumeráveis, animais pequenos e grandes.
26 There do ships go: leviathan, That Thou hast formed to play in it.
26 Ali passam os navios; e o leviatã que formaste para nele folgar.
27 All of them unto Thee do look, To give their food in its season.
27 Todos esperam de ti que lhes dês o seu sustento em tempo oportuno.
28 Thou dost give to them -- they gather, Thou dost open Thy hand -- they [are] satisfied [with] good.
28 Dando-lho tu, eles o recolhem; abres a tua mão, e enchem-se de bens.
29 Thou hidest Thy face -- they are troubled, Thou gatherest their spirit -- they expire, And unto their dust they turn back.
29 Escondes o teu rosto, e ficam perturbados; se lhes tiras a respiração, morrem e voltam ao próprio pó.
30 Thou sendest out Thy Spirit, they are created, And Thou renewest the face of the ground.
30 Envias o teu Espírito, e são criados, e assim renovas a face da terra.
31 The honour of Jehovah is to the age, Jehovah rejoiceth in His works,
31 A glória do Senhor seja para sempre! Alegre-se o Senhor em suas obras!
32 Who is looking to earth, and it trembleth, He cometh against hills, and they smoke.
32 Olhando ele para a terra, ela treme; tocando nos montes, logo fumegam.
33 I sing to Jehovah during my life, I sing praise to my God while I exist.
33 Cantarei ao Senhor enquanto eu viver; cantarei louvores ao meu Deus, enquanto existir.
34 Sweet is my meditation on Him, I -- I do rejoice in Jehovah.
34 A minha meditação a seu respeito será suave; eu me alegrarei no Senhor .
35 Consumed are sinners from the earth, And the wicked are no more. Bless, O my soul, Jehovah. Praise ye Jehovah!
35 Desapareçam da terra os pecadores, e os ímpios não sejam mais. Bendize, ó minha alma, ao
