1 Bless, O my soul, Jehovah! Jehovah, my God, Thou hast been very great, Honour and majesty Thou hast put on.
1 Bendize, ó minha alma, ao SENHOR! SENHOR Deus meu, tu és magnificentíssimo; estás vestido de glória e de majestade.
2 Covering himself [with] light as a garment, Stretching out the heavens as a curtain,
2 Ele se cobre de luz como de um vestido, estende os céus como uma cortina.
3 Who is laying the beam of His upper chambers in the waters, Who is making thick clouds His chariot, Who is walking on wings of wind,
3 Põe nas águas as vigas das suas câmaras; faz das nuvens o seu carro, anda sobre as asas do vento.
4 Making His messengers -- the winds, His ministers -- the flaming fire.
4 Faz dos seus anjos espíritos, dos seus ministros um fogo abrasador.
5 He hath founded earth on its bases, It is not moved to the age and for ever.
5 Lançou os fundamentos da terra; ela não vacilará em tempo algum.
6 The abyss! as with clothing Thou hast covered it, Above hills do waters stand.
6 Tu a cobriste com o abismo, como com um vestido; as águas estavam sobre os montes.
7 From Thy rebuke they flee, From the voice of Thy thunder haste away.
7 À tua repreensão fugiram; à voz do teu trovão se apressaram.
8 They go up hills -- they go down valleys, Unto a place Thou hast founded for them.
8 Subiram aos montes, desceram aos vales, até ao lugar que para elas fundaste.
9 A border Thou hast set, they pass not over, They turn not back to cover the earth.
9 Termo lhes puseste, que não ultrapassarão, para que não tornem mais a cobrir a terra.
10 Who is sending forth fountains in valleys, Between hills they go on.
10 Tu, que fazes sair as fontes nos vales, as quais correm entre os montes.
11 They water every beast of the field, Wild asses break their thirst.
11 Dão de beber a todo o animal do campo; os jumentos monteses matam a sua sede.
12 By them the fowl of the heavens doth dwell, From between the branches They give forth the voice.
12 Junto delas as aves do céu terão a sua habitação, cantando entre os ramos.
13 Watering hills from His upper chambers, From the fruit of Thy works is the earth satisfied.
13 Ele rega os montes desde as suas câmaras; a terra farta-se do fruto das suas obras.
14 Causing grass to spring up for cattle, And herb for the service of man, To bring forth bread from the earth,
14 Faz crescer a erva para o gado, e a verdura para o serviço do homem, para fazer sair da terra o pão,
15 And wine -- it rejoiceth the heart of man, To cause the face to shine from oil, And bread -- the heart of man it supporteth.
15 E o vinho que alegra o coração do homem, e o azeite que faz reluzir o seu rosto, e o pão que fortalece o coração do homem.
16 Satisfied [are] the trees of Jehovah, Cedars of Lebanon that He hath planted,
16 As árvores do Senhor fartam-se de seiva, os cedros do Líbano que ele plantou,
17 Where birds do make nests, The stork -- the firs [are] her house.
17 Onde as aves se aninham; quanto à cegonha, a sua casa é nas faias.
18 The high hills [are] for wild goats, Rocks [are] a refuge for conies,
18 Os altos montes são para as cabras monteses, e os rochedos são refúgio para os coelhos.
19 He made the moon for seasons, The sun hath known his place of entrance.
19 Designou a lua para as estações; o sol conhece o seu ocaso.
20 Thou settest darkness, and it is night, In it doth every beast of the forest creep.
20 Ordenas a escuridão, e faz-se noite, na qual saem todos os animais da selva.
21 The young lions are roaring for prey, And to seek from God their food.
21 Os leõezinhos bramam pela presa, e de Deus buscam o seu sustento.
22 The sun riseth, they are gathered, And in their dens they crouch.
22 Nasce o sol e logo se acolhem, e se deitam nos seus covis.
23 Man goeth forth to his work, And to his service -- till evening.
23 Então sai o homem à sua obra e ao seu trabalho, até à tarde.
24 How many have been Thy works, O Jehovah, All of them in wisdom Thou hast made, Full is the earth of thy possessions.
24 Ó Senhor, quão variadas são as tuas obras! Todas as coisas fizeste com sabedoria; cheia está a terra das tuas riquezas.
25 This, the sea, great and broad of sides, There [are] moving things -- innumerable, Living creatures -- small with great.
25 Assim é este mar grande e muito espaçoso, onde há seres sem número, animais pequenos e grandes.
26 There do ships go: leviathan, That Thou hast formed to play in it.
26 Ali andam os navios; e o leviatã que formaste para nele folgar.
27 All of them unto Thee do look, To give their food in its season.
27 Todos esperam de ti, que lhes dês o seu sustento em tempo oportuno.
28 Thou dost give to them -- they gather, Thou dost open Thy hand -- they [are] satisfied [with] good.
28 Dando-lho tu, eles o recolhem; abres a tua mão, e se enchem de bens.
29 Thou hidest Thy face -- they are troubled, Thou gatherest their spirit -- they expire, And unto their dust they turn back.
29 Escondes o teu rosto, e ficam perturbados; se lhes tiras o fôlego, morrem, e voltam para o seu pó.
30 Thou sendest out Thy Spirit, they are created, And Thou renewest the face of the ground.
30 Envias o teu Espírito, e são criados, e assim renovas a face da terra.
31 The honour of Jehovah is to the age, Jehovah rejoiceth in His works,
31 A glória do Senhor durará para sempre; o Senhor se alegrará nas suas obras.
32 Who is looking to earth, and it trembleth, He cometh against hills, and they smoke.
32 Olhando ele para a terra, ela treme; tocando nos montes, logo fumegam.
33 I sing to Jehovah during my life, I sing praise to my God while I exist.
33 Cantarei ao Senhor enquanto eu viver; cantarei louvores ao meu Deus, enquanto eu tiver existência.
34 Sweet is my meditation on Him, I -- I do rejoice in Jehovah.
34 A minha meditação acerca dele será suave; eu me alegrarei no Senhor.
35 Consumed are sinners from the earth, And the wicked are no more. Bless, O my soul, Jehovah. Praise ye Jehovah!
35 Desapareçam da terra os pecadores, e os ímpios não sejam mais. Bendize, ó minha alma, ao Senhor. Louvai ao Senhor.
