1 Be ye folowers of god as dere children
1 Portanto, como filhos amados de Deus, imitem-no em tudo que fizerem.
2 and walke in love even as Christ loved vs and gave him silfe for vs an offerynge and a sacrifyce of a swete saver to god.
2 Vivam em amor, seguindo o exemplo de Cristo, que nos amou e se entregou por nós como oferta e sacrifício de aroma agradável a Deus.
3 So that fornicacion and all vnclennes or coveteousnes be not once named amonge you as it be commeth saynctes:
3 Que não haja entre vocês imoralidade sexual, impureza ou ganância. Esses pecados não têm lugar no meio do povo santo.
4 nether filthynes nether folishe talkyng nether gestinge which are not comly: but rather gevynge of thankes
4 As histórias obscenas, as conversas tolas e as piadas vulgares não são para vocês. Em vez disso, sejam agradecidos a Deus.
5 For this ye knowe yt no whormonger other vnclene person or coveteous person which is the worshipper of ymages hath eny inheritaunce in the kyngdome of Christ and of God.
5 Podem estar certos de que nenhum imoral, impuro ou ganancioso, que é idólatra, herdará o reino de Cristo e de Deus.
6 Let no ma deceave you with vayne wordes. For thorow soche thinges cometh the wrath of God vpon the chyldre of vnbelefe.
6 Não se deixem enganar por palavras vazias, pois a ira de Deus virá sobre os que lhe desobedecerem.
7 Be not therfore companions with them.
7 Não participem do que essas pessoas fazem.
8 Ye were once dercknes but are now light in the Lorde. Walke as chyldren of light.
8 Pois antigamente vocês estavam mergulhados na escuridão, mas agora têm a luz no Senhor. Vivam, portanto, como filhos da luz!
9 For the frute of the sprete is in all goodnes rightewesnes and trueth.
9 Pois o fruto da luz produz apenas o que é bom, justo e verdadeiro.
10 Accept that which is pleasinge to the Lorde:
10 Procurem descobrir o que agrada ao Senhor.
11 and have no fellishippe with the vnfrutfull workes of dercknes: but rather rebuke them.
11 Não participem dos feitos inúteis do mal e da escuridão; antes, mostrem sua reprovação expondo-os à luz.
12 For it is shame even to name those thinges which are done of them in secrete:
12 É vergonhoso até mesmo falar daquilo que os maus fazem em segredo.
13 but all thinges when they are rebuked of the light are manifest. For whatsoever is manifest that same is light.
13 Suas más intenções, porém, ficarão evidentes quando a luz brilhar sobre elas,
14 Wherfore he sayth: awake thou that slepest and stond vp from deeth and Christ shall geve the light.
14 pois a luz torna visíveis todas as coisas. Por isso se diz: “Desperte, você que dorme, levante-se dentre os mortos, e Cristo o iluminará”.
15 Take hede therfore that ye walke circuspectly: not as foles: but as wyse
15 Portanto, sejam cuidadosos em seu modo de vida. Não vivam como insensatos, mas como sábios.
16 redemynge the tyme: for ye dayes are evyll.
16 Aproveitem ao máximo todas as oportunidades nestes dias maus.
17 Wherfore be ye not vnwyse but vnderstonde what the will of the Lorde is
17 Não ajam de forma impensada, mas procurem entender a vontade do Senhor.
18 and be not dronke with wyne wherin is excesse: but be fulfilled with the sprete
18 Não se embriaguem com vinho, pois ele os levará ao descontrole. Em vez disso, sejam cheios do Espírito,
19 speakynge vnto youre selves in psalmes and ymnes and spretuall songes synginge and makinge melodie to ye Lorde in youre hertes
19 cantando salmos, hinos e cânticos espirituais entre si e louvando o Senhor de coração com música.
20 gevinge thankes all wayes for all thinges vnto God the father in the name of oure Lorde Iesu Christ:
20 Por tudo deem graças a Deus, o Pai, em nome de nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo.
21 submittinge youre selves one to another in the feare of God.
21 Sujeitem-se uns aos outros por temor a Cristo.
22 Wemen submit youre selves vnto youre awne husbandes as vnto the Lorde.
22 Esposas, sujeite-se cada uma a seu marido, como ao Senhor.
23 For the husbande is the wyves heed even as Christ is the heed of the congregacion and the same is the saveoure of the body.
23 Pois o marido é o cabeça da esposa, como Cristo é o cabeça da igreja. Ele é o Salvador de seu corpo, a igreja.
24 Therfore as the cogregacion is in subieccion to Christ lykwyse let the wyves be in subieccion to their husbandes in all thinges.
24 Assim como a igreja se sujeita a Cristo, também vocês, esposas, devem se sujeitar em tudo a seu marido.
25 Husbandes love youre wyves even as Christ loved the congregacion and gave him silfe for it
25 Maridos, ame cada um a sua esposa, como Cristo amou a igreja. Ele entregou a vida por ela,
26 to sanctifie it and clensed it in the fountayne of water thorow the worde
26 a fim de torná-la santa, purificando-a ao lavá-la com água por meio da palavra.
27 to make it vnto him selfe a glorious congregacion with oute spot or wrynckle or eny soche thinge: but that it shuld be holy and with out blame.
27 Assim o fez para apresentá-la a si mesmo como igreja gloriosa, sem mancha, ruga ou qualquer outro defeito, mas santa e sem culpa.
28 So ought men to love their wyves as their awne bodyes. He that loveth his wyfe loveth him sylfe.
28 Da mesma forma, os maridos devem amar cada um a sua esposa, como amam o próprio corpo, pois o homem que ama sua esposa na verdade ama a si mesmo.
29 For no ma ever yet hated his awne flesshe: but norissheth and cherisseth it even as the lorde doth the congregacion.
29 Ninguém odeia o próprio corpo, mas o alimenta e cuida dele, como Cristo cuida da igreja.
30 For we are members of his body of his flesshe and of his bones.
30 E nós somos membros de seu corpo.
31 For this cause shall a man leave father and mother and shall cotinue with his wyfe and two shalbe made one flesshe.
31 “Por isso o homem deixa pai e mãe e se une à sua mulher, e os dois se tornam um só.”
32 This is a great secrete but I speake bitwene Christ and the cogregacion.
32 Esse é um grande mistério, mas ilustra a união entre Cristo e a igreja.
33 Neverthelesse do ye so that every one of you love his wyfe truely even as him silfe. And let ye wyfe se that she feare her husbade.
33 Portanto, volto a dizer: cada homem deve amar a esposa como ama a si mesmo, e a esposa deve respeitar o marido.
