1 And looking up, He saw the rich ones putting their gifts into the treasury.
1 Levantando os olhos, viu Jesus os ricos que deitavam as suas ofertas no cofre do templo.
2 And He also saw a certain poor widow putting two lepta there.
2 Viu também uma viúva pobrezinha deitar duas pequeninas moedas,
3 And He said, Truly I say to you this poor widow put in more than all.
3 e disse: Em verdade vos digo: esta pobre viúva pôs mais do que os outros.
4 For all these out of their abundance put into the gifts to God, but she out of her poverty put in all the living which she had.
4 Pois todos aqueles lançaram nas ofertas de Deus o que lhes sobra; esta, porém, deu, da sua indigência, tudo o que lhe restava para o sustento.
5 And as some were speaking about the temple, that it had been adorned with beautiful stones and gifts, He said,
5 Como lhe chamassem a atenção para a construção do templo feito de belas pedras e recamado de ricos donativos, Jesus disse:
6 As to these things that you see, days will come in which a stone will not be left on a stone, which will not be thrown down.
6 Dias virão em que destas coisas que vedes não ficará pedra sobre pedra: tudo será destruído.
7 And they asked Him, saying, Teacher, then when will these things be? And what will be the sign when these things are about to happen?
7 Então o interrogaram: Mestre, quando acontecerá isso? E que sinal haverá para saber-se que isso se vai cumprir?
8 And He said, Watch that you not be led astray. For many will come on My name, saying, I AM! Also, The time has come! Do not go after them.
8 Jesus respondeu: Vede que não sejais enganados. Muitos virão em meu nome, dizendo: Sou eu; e ainda: O tempo está próximo. Não sigais após eles.
9 And when you hear of wars and disturbances, do not be afraid. For these things must first occur, but the end is not at once.
9 Quando ouvirdes falar de guerras e de tumultos, não vos assusteis; porque é necessário que isso aconteça primeiro, mas não virá logo o fim.
10 Then He said to them, Nation will be lifted up against nation, and kingdom against kingdom.
10 Disse-lhes também: Levantar-se-ão nação contra nação e reino contra reino.
11 Also there will be great earthquakes from place to place, and famines, and plagues. And also there will be terrors and great signs from Heaven.
11 Haverá grandes terremotos por várias partes, fomes e pestes, e aparecerão fenômenos espantosos no céu.
12 But before all these things, they will lay their hands on you, and will persecute you , delivering you into the synagogues and prisons, being led away before kings and governors on account of My name.
12 Mas, antes de tudo isso, vos lançarão as mãos e vos perseguirão, entregando-vos às sinagogas e aos cárceres, levando-vos à presença dos reis e dos governadores, por causa de mim.
13 But it will return to you for a testimony.
13 Isto vos acontecerá para que vos sirva de testemunho.
14 Then put into your hearts not to premeditate to make a defense.
14 Gravai bem no vosso espírito de não preparar vossa defesa,
15 For I will give you a mouth and wisdom which all those opposing you will not be able to withstand or contradict.
15 porque eu vos darei uma palavra cheia de sabedoria, à qual não poderão resistir nem contradizer os vossos adversários.
16 But you will be betrayed also by parents, and brothers, and relatives, and friends. And they will put some of you to death.
16 Sereis entregues até por vossos pais, vossos irmãos, vossos parentes e vossos amigos, e matarão muitos de vós.
17 And you will be hated by all because of My name.
17 Sereis odiados por todos por causa do meu nome.
18 And a hair of your head shall in no way perish.
18 Entretanto, não se perderá um só cabelo da vossa cabeça.
19 By your patience you will gain your souls.
19 É pela vossa constância que alcançareis a vossa salvação.
20 And when you see Jerusalem being encircled by armies, then recognize that its destruction has come near.
20 Quando virdes que Jerusalém foi sitiada por exércitos, então sabereis que está próxima a sua ruína.
21 Then let those in Judea flee into the mountains; and those in its midst, let them go out. And those in the open spaces, let them not go into her.
21 Os que então se acharem na Judéia fujam para os montes; os que estiverem dentro da cidade retirem-se; os que estiverem nos campos não entrem na cidade.
22 For these are days of vengeance when all things that have been written are to be fulfilled.
22 Porque estes serão dias de castigo, para que se cumpra tudo o que está escrito.
23 But woe to the pregnant women, and the ones suckling in those days; for great distress will be on the earth and wrath on this people.
23 Ai das mulheres que, naqueles dias, estiverem grávidas ou amamentando, pois haverá grande angústia na terra e grande ira contra o povo.
24 And they will fall by the mouth of the sword and will be led captive to all the nations. And Jerusalem will be trodden down by nations, until the times of the nations are fulfilled.
24 Cairão ao fio de espada e serão levados cativos para todas as nações, e Jerusalém será pisada pelos pagãos, até se completarem os tempos das nações pagãs.
25 And there will be signs in the sun and moon and stars. And on the earth will be anxiety of nations with bewilderment, roaring of sea and of surf,
25 Haverá sinais no sol, na lua e nas estrelas. Na terra a aflição e a angústia apoderar-se-ão das nações pelo bramido do mar e das ondas.
26 men fainting from fear, and expectation of the things coming on the earth. For the powers of the heavens will be shaken.
26 Os homens definharão de medo, na expectativa dos males que devem sobrevir a toda a terra. As próprias forças dos céus serão abaladas.
27 And then they will see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and much glory. Dan. 7:13
27 Então verão o Filho do Homem vir sobre uma nuvem com grande glória e majestade.
28 But when these things begin to happen, stand up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near.
28 Quando começarem a acontecer estas coisas, reanimai-vos e levantai as vossas cabeças; porque se aproxima a vossa libertação.
29 And He spoke a parable to them: You see the fig tree and all the trees.
29 Acrescentou ainda esta comparação: Olhai para a figueira e para as demais árvores.
30 Now when they sprout leaves, seeing it , you will know from yourselves that now the summer is near.
30 Quando elas lançam os brotos, vós julgais que está perto o verão.
31 So also when you see these things happening, you know that the kingdom of God is near.
31 Assim também, quando virdes que vão sucedendo estas coisas, sabereis que está perto o Reino de Deus.
32 Truly I say to you, In no way will this generation pass away until all these things shall occur.
32 Em verdade vos declaro: não passará esta geração sem que tudo isto se cumpra.
33 The heaven and the earth will pass away, but My words in no way will pass away.
33 Passarão o céu e a terra, mas as minhas palavras não passarão.
34 But take heed to yourselves that your hearts not be loaded down with headaches, and drinking, and anxieties of life, and that day come suddenly upon you
34 Velai sobre vós mesmos, para que os vossos corações não se tornem pesados com o excesso do comer, com a embriaguez e com as preocupações da vida; para que aquele dia não vos apanhe de improviso.
35 as a snare, for it will come in on all those sitting on the face of all the earth. Isa. 24:17
35 Como um laço cairá sobre aqueles que habitam a face de toda a terra.
36 Then be watchful at every time, begging that you be counted worthy to escape all these things which are about to happen, and to stand before the Son of man.
36 Vigiai, pois, em todo o tempo e orai, a fim de que vos torneis dignos de escapar a todos estes males que hão de acontecer, e de vos apresentar de pé diante do Filho do Homem.
37 And in the days, He was teaching in the temple. And going out in the nights, He lodged in the Mount of Olives.
37 Durante o dia Jesus ensinava no templo e, à tarde, saía para passar a noite no monte chamado das Oliveiras.
38 And all the people came early to Him in the temple, to hear Him.
38 E todo o povo ia de manhã cedo ter com ele, no templo, para ouvi-lo.
