1 For the music director; according to Mahalath Leannoth. A maskil of Heman the Ezrahite. O Yahweh, God of my salvation, I cry out by day and through the night before you.
1 Ó Senhor, Deus da minha salvação, dia e noite clamo diante de ti.
2 Let my prayer come before you; incline your ear to my cry.
2 Chegue à tua presença a minha oração, inclina os teus ouvidos ao meu clamor;
3 For my soul is full with troubles, and my life approaches Sheol.
3 porque a minha alma está cheia de angústias, e a minha vida se aproxima do Seol.
4 I am reckoned with those descending to the pit. I am like a man without strength,
4 Já estou contado com os que descem à cova; estou como homem sem forças,
5 set free among the dead, like the slain lying in the grave, whom you no longer remember, even those cut off from your hand.
5 atirado entre os finados; como os mortos que jazem na sepultura, dos quais já não te lembras, e que são desamparados da tua mão.
6 You have set me in the pit below, in dark places, in the depths.
6 Puseste-me na cova mais profunda, em lugares escuros, nas profundezas.
7 Your wrath presses upon me, and you afflict me with all your waves. Selah
7 Sobre mim pesa a tua cólera; tu me esmagaste com todas as tuas ondas.
8 You have removed my acquaintances far from me. You have made me detestable to them. I am confined and cannot go out.
8 Apartaste de mim os meus conhecidos, fizeste-me abominável para eles; estou encerrado e não posso sair.
9 My eye languishes from misery. I call on you, O Yahweh, every day; I spread out my hands to you.
9 Os meus olhos desfalecem por causa da aflição. Clamo a ti todo dia, Senhor, estendendo-te as minhas mãos.
10 Do you work wonders for the dead? Or do the departed spirits rise up to praise you? Selah
10 Mostrarás tu maravilhas aos mortos? ou levantam-se os mortos para te louvar?
11 Is your loyal love told in the grave, or your faithfulness in the underworld?
11 Será anunciada a tua benignidade na sepultura, ou a tua fidelidade no Abadom?
12 Are your wonders known in the darkness, or your righteousness in the land of forgetfulness?
12 Serão conhecidas nas trevas as tuas maravilhas, e a tua justiça na terra do esquecimento?
13 But as for me, I cry for help to you, O Yahweh, and in the morning my prayer comes before you.
13 Eu, porém, Senhor, clamo a ti; de madrugada a minha oração chega à tua presença.
14 Why do you reject my soul, O Yahweh? Why do you hide your face from me?
14 Senhor, por que me rejeitas? por que escondes de mim a tua face?
15 I am afflicted and perishing from my youth. I bear your terrors. I am distraught.
15 Estou aflito, e prestes a morrer desde a minha mocidade; sofro os teus terrores, estou desamparado.
16 Your burning anger has passed over me; your sudden fears have destroyed me.
16 Sobre mim tem passado a tua ardente indignação; os teus terrores deram cabo de mim.
17 They surround me like water all the day; they circle about me altogether.
17 Como águas me rodeiam todo o dia; cercam-me todos juntos.
18 You have removed loved one and friend far from me, my acquaintances far from my darkness.
18 Aparte de mim amigos e companheiros; os meus conhecidos se acham nas trevas.
