1 A testimony. Of Asaph. A psalm. Give ear, O shepherd of Israel, who leads Joseph like a flock. Shine forth, you who sits enthroned above the cherubim.
1 Ó pastor de Israel, dá ouvidos; tu, que guias a José como a um rebanho, que estás entronizado sobre os querubins, resplandece.
2 Before Ephraim, Benjamin, and Manasseh, stir up your power and come for our salvation.
2 Perante Efraim, Benjamim e Manassés, desperta o teu poder, e vem salvar-nos.
3 O God, restore us, and cause your face to shine that we may be saved.
3 Reabilita-nos, ó Deus; faze resplandecer o teu rosto, para que sejamos salvos.
4 O Yahweh God of hosts, ⌞how long will you be angry⌟ against the prayer of your people?
4 Ó Senhor Deus dos exércitos, até quando te indignarás contra a oração do teu povo?
5 You have fed them the bread of tears; you have given them tears to drink in full measure.
5 Tu os alimentaste com pão de lágrimas, e lhes deste a beber lágrimas em abundância.
6 You have made us an object of strife to our neighbors, and our enemies mock among themselves.
6 Tu nos fazes objeto de escárnio entre os nossos vizinhos; e os nossos inimigos zombam de nós entre si.
7 O God of hosts, restore us and cause your face to shine that we may be saved.
7 Reabilita-nos, ó Deus dos exércitos; faze resplandecer o teu rosto, para que sejamos salvos.
8 You uprooted a vine from Egypt; you drove out the nations and planted it.
8 Trouxeste do Egito uma videira; lançaste fora as nações, e a plantaste.
9 You prepared a place before it, and ⌞it took deep root⌟ and filled the land.
9 Preparaste-lhe lugar; e ela deitou profundas raízes, e encheu a terra.
10 The mountains were covered with its shade, and the mighty cedars with its boughs.
10 Os montes cobriram-se com a sua sombra, e os cedros de Deus com os seus ramos.
11 It spread its branches to the sea and its shoots to the river.
11 Ela estendeu a sua ramagem até o mar, e os seus rebentos até o Rio.
12 Why have you broken down its walls, so that all who pass on the road pluck fruit from it?
12 Por que lhe derrubaste as cercas, de modo que a vindimam todos os que passam pelo caminho?
13 Swine from the forests devour it and creatures of the field feed on it.
13 O javali da selva a devasta, e as feras do campo alimentam-se dela.
14 Please return, O God of hosts. Observe from heaven and see, and pay attention to this vine,
14 Ó Deus dos exércitos, volta-te, nós te rogamos; atende do céu, e vê, e visita esta videira,
15 eventhe stalk that your right hand planted, and concerning the shoot you strengthened for yourself.
15 a videira que a tua destra plantou, e o sarmento que fortificaste para ti.
16 It is burned with fire, cut down. They perish at the rebuke of your face.
16 Está queimada pelo fogo, está cortada; eles perecem pela repreensão do teu rosto.
17 Let your hand be on the man of your right hand, on the son of humankind whom you made strong for yourself.
17 Seja a tua mão sobre o varão da tua destra, sobre o filho do homem que fortificaste para ti.
18 Then we will not turn back from you. Restore us to life, and we will proclaim your name.
18 E não nos afastaremos de ti; vivifica-nos, e nós invocaremos o teu nome.
19 O Yahweh God of hosts, restore us; cause your face to shine that we may be saved.
19 Reabilita-nos, Senhor Deus dos exércitos; faze resplandecer o teu rosto, para que sejamos salvos.
