1 Bless Yahweh, O my soul. O Yahweh my God, you are very great. You clothe yourself with splendor and majesty,
1 Todo o meu ser louve o S enhor . Ó S Estás vestido de glória e majestade,
2 you who cover yourself with light as with a garment, who stretch out the heavens like a tent curtain,
2 envolto num manto de luz. Estendes a cortina estrelada dos céus,
3 the one who sets beams in the waters for his upper chambers, who makes clouds his chariot, who rides on the wings of the wind,
3 pões as vigas de tua casa nas nuvens de chuva. Fazes das nuvens o teu carro de combate, cavalgas nas asas do vento.
4 who makes his messengers the winds, his attendants a flame of fire.
4 Os ventos são teus mensageiros, e as chamas de fogo, teus servos.

11 They give drink for every beast of the field. The wild donkeys ⌞quench⌟ their thirst.
11 Todos os animais bebem dessa água, e os jumentos selvagens matam a sede.
12 Along them the birds of the heavens abide. From among the branches they ⌞sing⌟.
12 As aves fazem ninhos junto aos riachos e cantam entre os ramos das árvores.
13 You are the one who ⌞waters⌟ the mountains from his upper chambers. The earth is full with the fruit of your labors:
13 De tua habitação celeste, envias chuva sobre os montes e enches a terra com o fruto do teu trabalho.
14 who causes grass to grow for the cattle and herbs for the service of humankind, to bring forth food from the earth,
14 Fazes o pasto crescer para os animais, e as plantas, para as pessoas cultivarem. Permites que, da terra, colham seu alimento:
15 and wine that makes glad the heart of man, so that their faces shine from oil, and bread that strengthens the heart of man.
15 vinho para alegrar o coração, azeite para fazer brilhar a pele, pão para dar forças.
16 The trees of Yahweh drink their fill, the cedars of Lebanon that he planted,

21 The young lions are roaring for the prey and seeking their food from God.
21 Os leões jovens rugem por sua presa, saem à procura do alimento que Deus lhes provê.
22 When the sun rises, they gather together and lie down in their dens.
22 Ao amanhecer eles se recolhem, voltam à toca para descansar.
23 Humankind goes out to its work, and to its labor until evening.
23 Então as pessoas saem para o serviço, onde trabalham até o entardecer.
24 How many are your works, O Yahweh; all of them you have done in wisdom. The earth is full of your creatures.
24 Ó S enhor , que variedade de coisas criaste! Fizeste todas elas com sabedoria; a terra está cheia de tuas criaturas.
25 This is the great and ⌞wide⌟ sea, in which are moving animals without number, living things small and great.
25 Ali está o oceano, vasto e imenso, cheio de seres de todo tipo, grandes e pequenos.
26 There the ships sail. Leviathan is there that you formed to play with.
26 Por ele passam navios, e o Leviatã,
27 They all wait for you to give them their food ⌞at the proper time⌟.
27 Todos dependem de ti para lhes proveres o alimento de que necessitam.
28 You give to them; they gather it. You open your hand, they are filled with what is good.
28 Quando tu lhes dás, eles o recolhem; abres a mão para alimentá-los, e eles ficam satisfeitos.
29 You hide your face, they are terrified. You take away their breath, they die and return to their dust.
29 Se te afastas deles, porém, enchem-se de medo; quando lhes retiras o fôlego, morrem e voltam ao pó.
30 You send forth your Spirit, they are created, and you renew the face of the ground.
30 Quando sopras teu fôlego, novos seres são gerados, e renovas a face da terra.
31 May the glory of Yahweh endure forever. May Yahweh be glad in his works,

32 the one who looks at the earth and it quakes, and touches the mountains and they smoke.

33 I will sing to Yahweh throughout my life; I will sing praise to my God while ⌞I remain alive⌟.

34 May my meditation be pleasing to him. I will be glad in Yahweh.
34 Todos os meus pensamentos lhe sejam agradáveis; no S
35 Let sinners perish completely from the earth, and the wicked ⌞not remain alive⌟. Bless Yahweh, O my soul. Praise Yah.
35 Desapareçam da terra todos os pecadores, deixem de existir para sempre os perversos. Todo o meu ser louve o S Louvado seja o S
