1 A Psalm. A Song for the Sabbath.
1 Bom é louvar ao Senhor e cantar louvores ao teu nome, ó Altíssimo,
2 It is good to give thanks to the LORD, to sing praises to thy name, O Most High;
2 para de manhã anunciar a tua benignidade e, todas as noites, a tua fidelidade,
3 to declare thy steadfast love in the morning, and thy faithfulness by night,
3 sobre um instrumento de dez cordas e sobre o saltério; sobre a harpa com som solene.
4 to the music of the lute and the harp, to the melody of the lyre.
4 Pois tu, Senhor , me alegraste com os teus feitos; exultarei nas obras das tuas mãos.
5 For thou, O LORD, hast made me glad by thy work; at the works of thy hands I sing for joy.
5 Quão grandes são, Senhor , as tuas obras! Mui profundos são os teus pensamentos!
6 How great are thy works, O LORD! Thy thoughts are very deep!
6 O homem brutal nada sabe, e o louco não entende isto.
7 The dull man cannot know, the stupid cannot understand this:
7 Brotam os ímpios como a erva, e florescem todos os que praticam a iniquidade, mas para serem destruídos para sempre.
8 that, though the wicked sprout like grass and all evildoers flourish, they are doomed to destruction for ever,
8 Mas tu, Senhor , és o Altíssimo para sempre.
9 but thou, O LORD, art on high for ever.
9 Pois eis que os teus inimigos, Senhor , eis que os teus inimigos perecerão; serão dispersos todos os que praticam a iniquidade.
10 For, lo, thy enemies, O LORD, for, lo, thy enemies shall perish; all evildoers shall be scattered.
10 Mas tu exaltarás o meu poder, como o do unicórnio: serei ungido com óleo fresco.
11 But thou hast exalted my horn like that of the wild ox; thou hast poured over me fresh oil.
11 Os meus olhos verão cumprido o meu desejo sobre os meus inimigos, e os meus ouvidos dele se certificarão quanto aos malfeitores que se levantam contra mim.
12 My eyes have seen the downfall of my enemies, my ears have heard the doom of my evil assailants.
12 O justo florescerá como a palmeira; crescerá como o cedro no Líbano.
13 The righteous flourish like the palm tree, and grow like a cedar in Lebanon.
13 Os que estão plantados na Casa do Senhor florescerão nos átrios do nosso Deus.
14 They are planted in the house of the LORD, they flourish in the courts of our God.
14 Na velhice ainda darão frutos; serão viçosos e florescentes,
15 They still bring forth fruit in old age, they are ever full of sap and green, [ (Psalms 92:16) to show that the LORD is upright; he is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in him. ]
15 para anunciarem que o Senhor é reto; ele é a minha rocha, e nele não há injustiça.
