Salmos 83

1 A Song. A Psalm of Asaph.
1 Ó Deus, não guardes silêncio; não te cales nem fiques impassível, ó Deus.
2 O God, do not keep silence; do not hold thy peace or be still, O God!
2 Pois eis que teus inimigos se alvoroçam, e os que te odeiam levantam a cabeça.
3 For lo, thy enemies are in tumult; those who hate thee have raised their heads.
3 Astutamente formam conselho contra o teu povo, e conspiram contra os teus protegidos.
4 They lay crafty plans against thy people; they consult together against thy protected ones.
4 Dizem eles: Vinde, e apaguemo-los para que não sejam nação, nem seja lembrado mais o nome de Israel.
5 They say, "Come, let us wipe them out as a nation; let the name of Israel be remembered no more!"
5 Pois à uma se conluiam; aliam-se contra ti
6 Yea, they conspire with one accord; against thee they make a covenant--
6 as tendas de Edom e os ismaelitas, Moabe e os hagarenos,
7 the tents of Edom and the Ish'maelites, Moab and the Hagrites,
7 Gebal, Amom e Amaleque, e a Filístia com os habitantes de tiro.
8 Gebal and Ammon and Am'alek, Philistia with the inhabitants of Tyre;

9 Assyria also has joined them; they are the strong arm of the children of Lot. [Selah]
9 Faze-lhes como fizeste a Midiã, como a Sísera, como a Jabim junto ao rio Quisom,
10 Do to them as thou didst to Mid'ian, as to Sis'era and Jabin at the river Kishon,
10 os quais foram destruídos em En-Dor; tornaram-se esterco para a terra.
11 who were destroyed at En-dor, who became dung for the ground.
11 Faze aos seus nobres como a Orebe e a Zeebe; e a todos os seus príncipes como a Zebá e a Zalmuna,
12 Make their nobles like Oreb and Zeeb, all their princes like Zebah and Zalmun'na,
12 que disseram: Tomemos para nós as pastagens de Deus.
13 who said, "Let us take possession for ourselves of the pastures of God."
13 Deus meu, faze-os como um turbilhão de pó, como a palha diante do vento.
14 O my God, make them like whirling dust, like chaff before the wind.
14 Como o fogo queima um bosque, e como a chama incedeia as montanhas,
15 As fire consumes the forest, as the flame sets the mountains ablaze,
15 assim persegue-os com a tua tempestade, e assombra-os com o teu furacão.
16 so do thou pursue them with thy tempest and terrify them with thy hurricane!
16 Cobre-lhes o rosto de confusão, de modo que busquem o teu nome, Senhor.
17 Fill their faces with shame, that they may seek thy name, O LORD.
17 Sejam envergonhados e conturbados perpetuamente; sejam confundidos, e pereçam,
18 Let them be put to shame and dismayed for ever; let them perish in disgrace. [ (Psalms 83:19) Let them know that thou alone, whose name is the LORD, art the Most High over all the earth. ]
18 para que saibam que só tu, cujo nome é o Senhor, és o Altíssimo sobre toda a terra.
