1 To the choirmaster: according to Jeduthun. A Psalm of Asaph.
1 Clamo a Deus; sim, grito bem alto. Quem dera Deus me ouvisse!
2 I cry aloud to God, aloud to God, that he may hear me.
2 Quando eu estava angustiado, busquei o Senhor. Orei a noite toda, de mãos estendidas para o céu, mas minha alma recusou ser consolada.
3 In the day of my trouble I seek the Lord; in the night my hand is stretched out without wearying; my soul refuses to be comforted.
3 Lembro-me de Deus e começo a gemer; desfaleço, ansioso por sua ajuda. Interlúdio
4 I think of God, and I moan; I meditate, and my spirit faints. [Selah]
4 Tu não me deixas dormir; estou tão desesperado que nem consigo falar!
5 Thou dost hold my eyelids from closing; I am so troubled that I cannot speak.
5 Penso nos dias que passaram, nos anos que há muito se foram.
6 I consider the days of old, I remember the years long ago.
6 À noite, relembro canções alegres; consulto minha alma e procuro compreender minha situação.
7 I commune with my heart in the night; I meditate and search my spirit:
7 Acaso o Senhor me rejeitou em definitivo? Jamais voltará a ser bondoso comigo?
8 "Will the Lord spurn for ever, and never again be favorable?
8 Seu amor se foi para nunca mais voltar? Deixou de cumprir suas promessas para sempre?
9 Has his steadfast love for ever ceased? Are his promises at an end for all time?
9 Deus se esqueceu de ser bondoso? Em sua ira, fechou a porta para a compaixão? Interlúdio
10 Has God forgotten to be gracious? Has he in anger shut up his compassion?" [Selah]
10 Pensei: “É por esta razão que sofro; o Altíssimo voltou sua mão direita contra mim”.
11 And I say, "It is my grief that the right hand of the Most High has changed."
11 Depois, porém, lembro-me de tudo que fizeste, S enhor ; recordo-me de tuas maravilhas do passado.
12 I will call to mind the deeds of the LORD; yea, I will remember thy wonders of old.
12 Estão sempre em meus pensamentos; não deixo de refletir sobre teus poderosos feitos.
13 I will meditate on all thy work, and muse on thy mighty deeds.
13 Teus caminhos, ó Deus, são santos; que deus é poderoso como o nosso Deus?
14 Thy way, O God, is holy. What god is great like our God?
14 És o Deus que realiza maravilhas; mostras o teu poder entre as nações!
15 Thou art the God who workest wonders, who hast manifested thy might among the peoples.
15 Com teu braço forte resgataste teu povo, os descendentes de Jacó e José. Interlúdio
16 Thou didst with thy arm redeem thy people, the sons of Jacob and Joseph. [Selah]
16 As águas te viram, ó Deus, as águas te viram e estremeceram; até as profundezas do mar se agitaram.
17 When the waters saw thee, O God, when the waters saw thee, they were afraid, yea, the deep trembled.
17 As nuvens derramaram chuva, os trovões ressoaram nas alturas, os teus relâmpagos riscaram os céus.
18 The clouds poured out water; the skies gave forth thunder; thy arrows flashed on every side.
18 No redemoinho ouviu-se o estrondo de teu trovão; os relâmpagos iluminaram o mundo, e a terra tremeu e se abalou.
19 The crash of thy thunder was in the whirlwind; thy lightnings lighted up the world; the earth trembled and shook.
19 Teu caminho passou pelo mar, teu trajeto, pelas águas poderosas, e ninguém percebeu teus passos.
20 Thy way was through the sea, thy path through the great waters; yet thy footprints were unseen. [ (Psalms 77:21) Thou didst lead thy people like a flock by the hand of Moses and Aaron. ]
20 Conduziste teu povo como um rebanho de ovelhas, pelas mãos de Moisés e Arão.
