1 My GOD, my GOD, why hast thou forsaken me? Far from saving me, The words of my loud lamentation?
1 Ao mestre de canto. Segundo a melodia A corça da aurora. Salmo de Davi. Meu Deus, meu Deus, por que me abandonastes? E permaneceis longe de minhas súplicas e de meus gemidos?
2 My God! I keep cryingBy day, and thou dost not answer, and, By night, and there is no rest for me.
2 Meu Deus, clamo de dia e não me respondeis; imploro de noite e não me atendeis.
3 But, thou, art holy, Who inhabitest the praises of Israel.
3 Entretanto, vós habitais em vosso santuário, vós que sois a glória de Israel.
4 In thee, trusted our fathers, They trusted, and thou didst deliver them;
4 Nossos pais puseram sua confiança em vós, esperaram em vós e os livrastes.
5 Unto thee, made they outcry, and escaped, In thee, they trusted, and had not turned pale.
5 A vós clamaram e foram salvos; confiaram em vós e não foram confundidos.
6 But, I, am a worm and no one, a reproach of men, and despised of a people;
6 Eu, porém, sou um verme, não sou homem, o opróbrio de todos e a abjeção da plebe.
7 All that see me, laugh at me,They open wide the mouth, They shake the head:
7 Todos os que me vêem zombam de mim; dizem, meneando a cabeça:
8 He should trust in Yahwehlet him deliver him,Let him rescue him, seeing he delighteth in him.
8 Esperou no Senhor, pois que ele o livre, que o salve, se o ama.
9 For, thou, art he that severed me from the womb, he that caused me to trust, upon the breasts of my mother;
9 Sim, fostes vós que me tirastes das entranhas de minha mãe e, seguro, me fizestes repousar em seu seio.
10 Upon thee, was I cast from the time I was born, From the womb of my mother, my GOD, hast thou been.
10 Eu vos fui entregue desde o meu nascer, desde o ventre de minha mãe vós sois o meu Deus.
11 Be not far from me, for, distress, is near, For there is none to help.
11 Não fiqueis longe de mim, pois estou atribulado; vinde para perto de mim, porque não há quem me ajude.
12 Many bulls have surrounded me, Strong oxen of Bashan, have enclosed me;
12 Cercam-me touros numerosos, rodeiam-me touros de Basã;
13 They have opened wide against me their mouth, A lion rending and roaring.
13 contra mim eles abrem suas fauces, como o leão que ruge e arrebata.
14 Like water, am I poured out, and, put out of joint, are all my bones,My heart, hath become, like wax, it is melted in the midst of my body;
14 Derramo-me como água, todos os meus ossos se desconjuntam; meu coração tornou-se como cera, e derrete-se nas minhas entranhas.
15 Dried as a potsherd, is my strength, And, my tongue, is made to cleave to my gums, And, in the dust of death, wilt thou lay me.
15 Minha garganta está seca qual barro cozido, pega-se no paladar a minha língua: vós me reduzistes ao pó da morte.
16 For dogs have surrounded me,An assembly of evil doers, have encircled me, They have pierced my hands and my feet,
16 Sim, rodeia-me uma malta de cães, cerca-me um bando de malfeitores. Traspassaram minhas mãos e meus pés:
17 I may tell all my bones, They, look forthey behold me!
17 poderia contar todos os meus ossos. Eles me olham e me observam com alegria,
18 They part my garments among them, and, for my vestment, they cast lots.
18 repartem entre si as minhas vestes, e lançam sorte sobre a minha túnica.
19 But, thou, O Yahweh, be not far off, O my help! to aid me, make haste;
19 Porém, vós, Senhor, não vos afasteis de mim; ó meu auxílio, bem depressa me ajudai.
20 Rescue, from the sword, my life, from the power of the dog, my solitary self:
20 Livrai da espada a minha alma, e das garras dos cães a minha vida.
21 Save me from the mouth of the lion,Yea, from the horns of wild beasts, hast thou delivered me.
21 Salvai-me a mim, mísero, das fauces do leão e dos chifres dos búfalos.
22 I will declare thy Name unto my brethren,In the midst of the convocation, will I praise thee.
22 Então, anunciarei vosso nome a meus irmãos, e vos louvarei no meio da assembléia.
23 Ye that revere Yahweh, praise him, All ye the seed of Jacob, glorify him, And, stand in awe of him, all ye seed of Israel.
23 Vós que temeis o Senhor, louvai-o; vós todos, descendentes de Jacó, aclamai-o; temei-o, todos vós, estirpe de Israel,
24 For he hath not despised nor abhorred the humbling of the patient one, neither hath he hid his face from him, but, when he cried for help unto him, he heard.
24 porque ele não rejeitou nem desprezou a miséria do infeliz, nem dele desviou a sua face, mas o ouviu, quando lhe suplicava.
25 Of thee, is my praise in the great convocation, My vows, will I pay, before them who revere him.
25 De vós procede o meu louvor na grande assembléia, cumprirei meus votos na presença dos que vos temem.
26 The patient wronged-ones shall eat and be satisfied, They shall praise Yahweh, who are seekers of him, Let your heart live for aye.
26 Os pobres comerão e serão saciados; louvarão o Senhor aqueles que o procuram: Vivam para sempre os nossos corações.
27 All the ends of the earth, will remember and turn to Yahweh, Yea all the families of the nations, will bow themselves down before thee,
27 Hão de se lembrar do Senhor e a ele se converter todos os povos da terra; e diante dele se prostrarão todas as famílias das nações,
28 For, to Yahweh, belongeth the kingdom, And One to Rule over the nations.
28 porque a realeza pertence ao Senhor, e ele impera sobre as nações.
29 All the great ones of the earth, shall eat and bow down, Before him shall kneel, all that go down to the dust, Even he who had not kept alive, his own soul!
29 Todos os que dormem no seio da terra o adorarão; diante dele se prostrarão os que retornam ao pó.
30 My seed, shall serve him, It shall he recounted, of the Lord, to a generation that shall come:
30 Para ele viverá a minha alma, há de servi-lo minha descendência. Ela falará do Senhor às gerações futuras
31 That his righteousness may be declared to a people to be born, That he wrought with effect!
31 e proclamará sua justiça ao povo que vai nascer: Eis o que fez o Senhor.
