1 Hear, O Yahweh, the right, Attend to my loud cry, Give ear unto my prayer, on lips that would not deceive:
1 Oração de Davi. Ouve o justo, ó SENHOR, atende ao meu clamor, dá ouvidos à minha oração, que não sai de lábios fingidos.
2 From before thee, let my sentence come forth, Thine eyes, behold with equity.
2 Que a minha sentença saia da tua presença; que os teus olhos contemplem as coisas que são iguais.
3 Thou hast tested my heart, hast made inspection by night, hast refined me until thou couldst find nothing, Had I devised evil, my mouth should not have transgressed:
3 Provaste o meu coração; visitaste-me à noite; examinaste-me, e não encontraste nada; estou no propósito de que a minha boca não transgredirá.
4 As for the workings of men, By the word of thy lips, have, I, taken heed of the paths of the violent one.
4 Quanto às obras dos homens, pela palavra dos teus lábios me guardei das veredas do destruidor.
5 Thou hast held fast my goings on to thy ways, My footsteps have not been shaken:
5 Sustenta as minhas idas em tuas veredas, para que as minhas pegadas não escorreguem.
6 I, have called upon thee, for thou wilt answer me, O GOD,Incline thine ear unto me, Hear thou my speech:
6 Eu te invoquei porque tu queres me ouvir, ó Deus; inclina teu ouvido para mim e ouve o meu discurso.
7 Let thy lovingkindness be distinguished, thou Saviour of such as seek refuge from them who lift themselves up against thy right hand.
7 Mostra a tua maravilhosa benignidade, ó tu que salvas pela tua mão direita aqueles que põem sua confiança em ti, daqueles que se levantam contra eles.
8 Guard me, as the pupil of the eye,Under the shadow of thy wings, wilt thou hide me:
8 Guarda-me como a menina dos olhos; esconde-me debaixo da sombra das tuas asas,
9 From the face of lawless ones who have treated me with violence, the foes of my soul, who come round against me:
9 Dos perversos que me oprimem, dos meus inimigos mortais que me cercam.
10 Their own fat , have they shut up,With their mouth, have they spoken proudly.
10 Se encerram em sua própria gordura, com sua boca falam orgulhosamente.
11 As for our own goings, now, have they surrounded us,Their eyes, they fix, bending to the earth:
11 Eles agora nos cercaram em nossos passos; eles baixaram os seus olhos se curvando para a terra;
12 His likeness, is as a lion, that longeth to rend, and as a young lion, lurking in secret places.
12 Tal como um leão que é ávido por sua presa, como se fossem um leãozinho espreitando em lugares secretos.
13 Rise, Yahweh! Confront his face, Bring him down, Deliver my soul from the lawless one thy sword:
13 Levanta-te, ó SENHOR, desaponta-o, humilha-o; livra a minha alma do perverso, com a tua espada;
14 From men thy hand, O Yahweh, From the men of this age, whose portion, is among the living, and, with thy treasure, thou fillest their bosom,They must be satisfied with sons, And must leave their abundance to their children:
14 Dos homens, com a tua mão, ó SENHOR, dos homens do mundo, que têm sua porção nesta vida, e cujo ventre tu encheste com teu tesouro escondido; eles estão cheios de filhos, e deixam o resto de seus bens para os seus bebês.
15 I, in righteousness, shall behold thy face, Shall be satisfied when awakened by a vision of thee.
15 Quanto a mim, contemplarei a tua face na justiça; estarei satisfeito quando acordar com a tua semelhança.
