1 Remember, O Yahweh, unto David, all his humiliations!
1 Lembra-te, Senhor , de Davi e de todas as suas provações.
2 What he Sware to Yahweh,Vowed to the Mighty One of Jacob:
2 Lembra-te de como ele jurou ao e fez votos ao Poderoso de Jacó, dizendo:
3 Surely I will not enter the home of my own house, nor ascend my curtained couch;
3 “Não entrarei na tenda em que moro, nem me deitarei no leito em que repouso;
4 I will not give sleep to mine eyes, nor, to mine eye-lashes, slumber:
4 não darei sono aos meus olhos, nem repouso às minhas pálpebras,
5 Until I find a place for Yahweh, habitations for the Mighty One of Jacob.
5 enquanto eu não encontrar um lugar para o uma morada para o Poderoso de Jacó.”
6 Lo! we heard of it at Ephrathah, we found it in the fields of the wood.
6 Ouvimos dizer que a arca estava em Efrata e a encontramos no campo de Jaar.
7 We would enter his habitations, we would bow down at his footstool.
7 Entremos na sua morada, adoremos diante do estrado de seus pés.
8 Arise! O Yahweh, unto thy place of rest, Thou, and the ark of thy strength.
8 Levanta-te, Senhor , e entra no lugar do teu repouso, tu e a arca do teu poder.
9 Thy priests, let them be clothed with righteousness, Thy men of lovingkindness, let them shout for joy!
9 Vistam-se de justiça os teus sacerdotes, e exultem os teus fiéis.
10 For the sake of David thy servant, do not turn away the face of thine Anointed One.
10 Por amor de Davi, teu servo, não rejeites o teu ungido.
11 Yahweh hath sworn unto David, in faithfulness, will he not turn from it,Of the fruit of thy body, will I seat on thy throne.
11 O Senhor jurou a Davi com firme juramento e dele não se desviará: “Farei com que no seu trono se assente um dos seus descendentes.
12 If thy sons keep my covenant, and my testimony which I will teach them, even their sons, unto futurity, shall sit on thy throne.
12 Se os filhos de você guardarem a minha aliança e o testemunho que eu lhes ensinar, também os filhos deles se assentarão para sempre no seu trono.”
13 For Yahweh hath chosen Zion,He hath desired it as a dwelling for himself:
13 Pois o Senhor escolheu Sião, preferiu-a por sua morada, dizendo:
14 This, is my place of rest unto futurity, Here, will I dwell, for I have desired it;
14 “Este é para sempre o lugar do meu repouso; aqui habitarei, pois este é o meu desejo.
15 Her provision, will I abundantly bless, Her needy ones, will I satisfy with bread;
15 Abençoarei com abundância o seu mantimento e de pão fartarei os seus pobres.
16 And, her priests, will I clothe with salvation, and, her men of lovingkindness, shall, shout aloud, for joy;
16 Vestirei de salvação os seus sacerdotes, e de júbilo exultarão os seus fiéis.
17 There, will I cause to bud a horn to David, I have prepared a lamp for mine Anointed One;
17 Ali, farei brotar o poder de Davi; preparei uma lâmpada para o meu ungido.
18 His enemies, will I clothe with shame, but, upon himself, shall his crown be resplendent.
18 Cobrirei de vexame os seus inimigos, mas sobre ele brilhará a sua coroa.”
