1 Remember, O Yahweh, unto David, all his humiliations!
1 Lembra-te, Senhor , de Davi e de todas as suas aflições.
2 What he Sware to Yahweh,Vowed to the Mighty One of Jacob:
2 Como jurou ao Senhor e fez votos ao Poderoso de Jacó, dizendo:
3 Surely I will not enter the home of my own house, nor ascend my curtained couch;
3 Certamente, que não entrarei na tenda em que habito, nem subirei ao leito em que durmo;
4 I will not give sleep to mine eyes, nor, to mine eye-lashes, slumber:
4 não darei sono aos meus olhos, nem repouso às minhas pálpebras,
5 Until I find a place for Yahweh, habitations for the Mighty One of Jacob.
5 enquanto não achar lugar para o Senhor , uma morada para o Poderoso de Jacó.
6 Lo! we heard of it at Ephrathah, we found it in the fields of the wood.
6 Eis que ouvimos falar da arca em Efrata e a achamos no campo do bosque.
7 We would enter his habitations, we would bow down at his footstool.
7 Entraremos nos seus tabernáculos; prostrar-nos-emos ante o escabelo de seus pés.
8 Arise! O Yahweh, unto thy place of rest, Thou, and the ark of thy strength.
8 Levanta-te, Senhor , no teu repouso, tu e a arca da tua força.
9 Thy priests, let them be clothed with righteousness, Thy men of lovingkindness, let them shout for joy!
9 Vistam-se os teus sacerdotes de justiça, e alegrem-se os teus santos.
10 For the sake of David thy servant, do not turn away the face of thine Anointed One.
10 Por amor de Davi, teu servo, não faças virar o rosto do teu ungido.
11 Yahweh hath sworn unto David, in faithfulness, will he not turn from it,Of the fruit of thy body, will I seat on thy throne.
11 O Senhor jurou a Davi com verdade e não se desviará dela: Do fruto do teu ventre porei sobre o teu trono.
12 If thy sons keep my covenant, and my testimony which I will teach them, even their sons, unto futurity, shall sit on thy throne.
12 Se os teus filhos guardarem o meu concerto e os meus testemunhos, que eu lhes hei de ensinar, também os seus filhos se assentarão perpetuamente no teu trono.
13 For Yahweh hath chosen Zion,He hath desired it as a dwelling for himself:
13 Porque o Senhor elegeu a Sião; desejou-a para sua habitação, dizendo:
14 This, is my place of rest unto futurity, Here, will I dwell, for I have desired it;
14 Este é o meu repouso para sempre; aqui habitarei, pois o desejei.
15 Her provision, will I abundantly bless, Her needy ones, will I satisfy with bread;
15 Abençoarei abundantemente o seu mantimento; fartarei de pão os seus necessitados.
16 And, her priests, will I clothe with salvation, and, her men of lovingkindness, shall, shout aloud, for joy;
16 Vestirei de salvação os seus sacerdotes, e os seus santos rejubilarão.
17 There, will I cause to bud a horn to David, I have prepared a lamp for mine Anointed One;
17 Ali farei brotar a força de Davi; preparei uma lâmpada para o meu ungido.
18 His enemies, will I clothe with shame, but, upon himself, shall his crown be resplendent.
18 Vestirei os seus inimigos de confusão; mas sobre ele florescerá a sua coroa.
