1 Not unto us, O Yahweh, not unto us,but, unto thine own Name, give glory, concerning thy lovingkindness, concerning thy faithfulness.
1 Somente a ti, ó Senhor Deus, a ti somente, e não a nós, seja dada a por causa do teu amor e da tua fidelidade.
2 Wherefore should the nations say, Pray where is their God?
2 Por que é que as outras nações nos perguntam: “Onde está o Deus de vocês?”
3 When, our God, is in the heavens, Whatsoever he pleased, hath he done.
3 Nós respondemos: “O nosso Deus está no céu; ele faz tudo o que quer.
4 Their idols, are silver and gold, the works of the hands of men,
4 Os deuses das outras nações são de prata e de ouro, são feitos por seres humanos.
5 A mouth, have they, but they speak not, Eyes, have they, but they see not;
5 Eles têm boca, mas não falam; têm olhos, mas não veem.
6 Ears, have they, but they hear not, A nose, have they, but they smell not:
6 Têm ouvidos, mas não ouvem; têm nariz, mas não cheiram.
7 Their hands! but they feel not Their feet! but they walk not, No sound make they in their throat.
7 Têm mãos, mas não podem pegar; têm pés, mas não andam; e da garganta deles não sai nenhum som.
8 Like unto them, shall be they who make them, Every one who trusteth in them.
8 Que fiquem iguais a esses ídolos aqueles que os fazem e os que confiam neles!”
9 O Israel! trust thou in Yahweh, Their help and their shield, is he!
9 Ó israelitas, confiem em Deus, o Senhor ! Ele é a ajuda e o
10 O house of Aaron! trust ye in Yahweh, Their help and their shield, is he!
10 Sacerdotes de Deus, confiem no Senhor ! Ele é a ajuda e o escudo de vocês.
11 Ye that revere Yahweh! trust in Yahweh, Their help and their shield, is he!
11 Confiem no Senhor , todos os que o Ele é a ajuda e o escudo de vocês.
12 Yahweh, hath remembered us, he will blessHe will bless the house of Israel, He will bless the house of Aaron;
12 O Senhor lembra de nós e nos abençoará; ele abençoará o povo de Israel e todos os sacerdotes de Deus.
13 He will bless them who revere Yahweh, the small with the great.
13 Ele abençoará todos os que o temem, tanto os importantes como os humildes.
14 Yahweh multiply you, You, and your children.
14 Que o Senhor Deus lhes dê muitos filhos, a vocês e aos seus descendentes!
15 Blessed are ye of Yahweh, who made the heavens and the earth:
15 Que vocês sejam abençoados pelo que fez os céus e a terra!
16 As for the heavens, the heavens, belong to Yahweh, but the earth, hath he given to the sons of men.
16 Os céus pertencem somente ao Senhor , mas a terra ele deu aos seres humanos.
17 The dead, cannot praise Yah, nor any that go down into silence;
17 Os mortos, que descem à não louvam a Deus, o
18 But, we, will bless Yah, from henceforth even unto times age-abiding. Praise ye Yah.
18 Mas nós, que estamos vivos, daremos graças ao agora e para sempre.
