1 Not unto us, O Yahweh, not unto us,but, unto thine own Name, give glory, concerning thy lovingkindness, concerning thy faithfulness.
1 Não a nós, Senhor, não a nós, mas ao teu nome dá glória, por amor da tua benignidade e da tua verdade.
2 Wherefore should the nations say, Pray where is their God?
2 Por que perguntariam as nações: Onde está o seu Deus?
3 When, our God, is in the heavens, Whatsoever he pleased, hath he done.
3 Mas o nosso Deus está nos céus; ele faz tudo o que lhe apraz.
4 Their idols, are silver and gold, the works of the hands of men,
4 Os ídolos deles são prata e ouro, obra das mãos do homem.
5 A mouth, have they, but they speak not, Eyes, have they, but they see not;
5 Têm boca, mas não falam; têm olhos, mas não vêem;
6 Ears, have they, but they hear not, A nose, have they, but they smell not:
6 têm ouvidos, mas não ouvem; têm nariz, mas não cheiram;
7 Their hands! but they feel not Their feet! but they walk not, No sound make they in their throat.
7 têm mãos, mas não apalpam; têm pés, mas não andam; nem som algum sai da sua garganta.
8 Like unto them, shall be they who make them, Every one who trusteth in them.
8 Semelhantes a eles sejam os que fazem, e todos os que neles confiam.
9 O Israel! trust thou in Yahweh, Their help and their shield, is he!
9 Confia, ó Israel, no Senhor; ele é seu auxílio e seu escudo.
10 O house of Aaron! trust ye in Yahweh, Their help and their shield, is he!
10 Casa de Arão, confia no Senhor; ele é seu auxílio e seu escudo.
11 Ye that revere Yahweh! trust in Yahweh, Their help and their shield, is he!
11 Vós, os que temeis ao Senhor, confiai no Senhor; ele é seu auxílio e seu escudo.
12 Yahweh, hath remembered us, he will blessHe will bless the house of Israel, He will bless the house of Aaron;
12 O Senhor tem-se lembrado de nós, abençoar-nos-á; abençoará a casa de Israel; abençoará a casa de Arão;
13 He will bless them who revere Yahweh, the small with the great.
13 abençoará os que temem ao Senhor, tanto pequenos como grandes.
14 Yahweh multiply you, You, and your children.
14 Aumente-vos o Senhor cada vez mais, a vós e a vossos filhos.
15 Blessed are ye of Yahweh, who made the heavens and the earth:
15 Sede vós benditos do Senhor, que fez os céus e a terra.
16 As for the heavens, the heavens, belong to Yahweh, but the earth, hath he given to the sons of men.
16 Os céus são os céus do Senhor, mas a terra, deu-a ele aos filhos dos homens.
17 The dead, cannot praise Yah, nor any that go down into silence;
17 Os mortos não louvam ao Senhor, nem os que descem ao silêncio;
18 But, we, will bless Yah, from henceforth even unto times age-abiding. Praise ye Yah.
18 nós, porém, bendiremos ao Senhor, desde agora e para sempre. Louvai ao Senhor.
