1 Not unto us, O Yahweh, not unto us,but, unto thine own Name, give glory, concerning thy lovingkindness, concerning thy faithfulness.
1 Não a nós, Senhor , não a nós, mas ao teu nome dá glória, por amor da tua misericórdia e da tua fidelidade.
2 Wherefore should the nations say, Pray where is their God?
2 Por que diriam as nações: “Onde está o Deus deles?”
3 When, our God, is in the heavens, Whatsoever he pleased, hath he done.
3 O nosso Deus está no céu e faz tudo como lhe agrada.
4 Their idols, are silver and gold, the works of the hands of men,
4 Os ídolos das nações são prata e ouro, obra de mãos humanas.
5 A mouth, have they, but they speak not, Eyes, have they, but they see not;
5 Têm boca e não falam; têm olhos e não veem;
6 Ears, have they, but they hear not, A nose, have they, but they smell not:
6 têm ouvidos e não ouvem; têm nariz e não cheiram;
7 Their hands! but they feel not Their feet! but they walk not, No sound make they in their throat.
7 têm mãos e não apalpam; têm pés e não andam; som nenhum lhes sai da garganta.
8 Like unto them, shall be they who make them, Every one who trusteth in them.
8 Tornem-se semelhantes a eles os que os fazem e todos os que neles confiam.
9 O Israel! trust thou in Yahweh, Their help and their shield, is he!
9 Ó Israel, confie no Senhor ! Ele é o seu amparo e o seu escudo.
10 O house of Aaron! trust ye in Yahweh, Their help and their shield, is he!
10 Casa de Arão, confie no Senhor ! Ele é o seu amparo e o seu escudo.
11 Ye that revere Yahweh! trust in Yahweh, Their help and their shield, is he!
11 Vocês que temem o Senhor , confiem no Ele é o seu amparo e o seu escudo.
12 Yahweh, hath remembered us, he will blessHe will bless the house of Israel, He will bless the house of Aaron;
12 O Senhor lembrou-se de nós; ele nos abençoará; abençoará a casa de Israel, abençoará a casa de Arão.
13 He will bless them who revere Yahweh, the small with the great.
13 Ele abençoa os que temem o tanto pequenos como grandes.
14 Yahweh multiply you, You, and your children.
14 O Senhor os abençoe mais e mais, a vocês e aos seus filhos.
15 Blessed are ye of Yahweh, who made the heavens and the earth:
15 Que vocês sejam abençoados pelo que fez os céus e a terra.
16 As for the heavens, the heavens, belong to Yahweh, but the earth, hath he given to the sons of men.
16 Os céus são os céus do Senhor , mas a terra ele deu aos filhos dos homens.
17 The dead, cannot praise Yah, nor any that go down into silence;
17 Os mortos não louvam o Senhor , nem os que descem à região do silêncio podem fazer isso.
18 But, we, will bless Yah, from henceforth even unto times age-abiding. Praise ye Yah.
18 Nós, porém, bendiremos o desde agora e para sempre. Aleluia!
