Rotherham Version (ROTH) vs NTLH
1 Every, wise woman, buildeth up her house, but, a foolish one, with her own hands, would break it down.
1 A mulher sábia constrói o seu lar, mas a que não tem juízo o destrói com as próprias mãos.
2 He that walketh in his uprightness, is one who revereth Yahweh, but, he that is crooked in his way, is one who despiseth him.
2 Quem é honesto mostra que teme o Senhor , mas a pessoa que se desvia dos caminhos do Senhor o está desprezando.
3 In the mouth of the foolish, is a haughty rod, but, as for the lips of the wise, thou shalt give heed to them!
3 O tolo orgulhoso sofre por causa das coisas que diz, mas os sábios são protegidos pelas suas próprias palavras.
4 Without cattle, the crib is clean, but, much increase, is in the strength of the ox.
4 Quem não põe um animal para puxar o arado colhe bem pouco, mas aquele que põe colhe muito.
5 A faithful witness, will not deceive, but a false witness, uttereth deceitful things.
5 A testemunha verdadeira não mente, mas a falsa diz muitas mentiras.
6 A scoffer seeketh wisdom, and there is none, but, knowledge, to the discerning, is easy.
6 Quem zomba de tudo quer ser sábio e não consegue, mas quem tem juízo aprende com facilidade.
7 Get thee from the presence of a man that is a dullard, when thou perceivest not the lips of knowledge.
7 Afaste-se das pessoas sem juízo porque gente assim não tem nada para ensinar.
8 The wisdom of the prudent, is to understand his way, but, the folly of dullards, is a fraud.
8 Por que será que a pessoa ajuizada é sábia? É porque ela sabe o que faz. Por que será que o tolo não tem juízo? É porque ele apenas pensa que sabe o que faz.
9 the foolish, scoff at guilt, but, between the upright, is good pleasure.
9 Os tolos pecam e não se importam, mas os bons querem ser perdoados.
10 The heart, knoweth its own bitterness, and, in its joy, no stranger shareth.
10 Só você conhece a sua própria amargura e você também não pode repartir a sua alegria com os estranhos.
11 The house of the lawless, shall be destroyed, but, the tent of the upright, shall flourish.
11 A casa dos maus será destruída, mas a cabana dos bons continuará de pé.
12 There is a way that enticeth a man, but, at the latter end thereof, are the ways of death!
12 Há caminhos que parecem certos, mas podem acabar levando para a morte.
13 Even, in laughter, the heart may be in pain, and, the latter end of gladness, be grief.
13 O sorriso pode esconder a tristeza; quando a felicidade vai embora, a tristeza já chegou.
14 With his own ways, shall be filled the backslider in heart, and, from himself, shall a good man
14 Os maus terão o que merecem, mas os bons serão recompensados pelo que fazem.
15 The simple, believeth every word, but, the prudent, looketh well to his going.
15 A pessoa simples acredita em tudo, mas quem tem juízo está sempre prevenido.
16 A wise man, feareth, and avoideth evil, but, a dullard, is haughty and confident.
16 Quem tem juízo toma cuidado a fim de não se meter em dificuldades, mas o tolo é descuidado e age sem pensar.
17 The impatient, worketh folly, and, a man of wicked devices, is hated.
17 Quem se zanga facilmente faz coisas tolas, mas o sábio permanece calmo.
18 The simple inherit folly, but, the shrewd, crowneth himself with knowledge.
18 Os tolos recebem o que a sua tolice merece, mas os ajuizados são recompensados com o conhecimento.
19 Abased are the wicked, before the good, and, the lawless, at the gates of the righteous.
19 Os maus terão de respeitar os bons e pedir humildemente a sua ajuda.
20 Even by his neighbour, is poor man hated, but, the lovers of the rich man, are many.
20 O pobre é desprezado até pelo seu vizinho, mas o rico tem muitos amigos.
21 He that sheweth contempt for his neighbour, sinneth, but, he that sheweth favour to the afflicted, how happy is he!
21 Desprezar os outros é pecado, mas aquele que faz o bem aos pobres é feliz.
22 Shall they not, become vagrants, who devise evil? but, lovingkindness and faithfulness,
22 Quem trabalha para o bem ganha a confiança e o respeito dos outros, mas quem trabalha para o mal está cometendo um erro.
23 By all labour, there will be abundance, but, the talk of the lips, tendeth only to want.
23 Quem trabalha tem com o que viver, mas quem só conversa passará necessidade.
24 the crown of the wise, is their wealth, but, the folly of dullards, is, folly.
24 Os sábios são recompensados com riquezas, mas a recompensa do tolo são as suas próprias tolices.
25 A deliverer of souls, is a faithful witness, but, he that uttereth falsehoods, is a fraud.
25 A testemunha que diz a verdade pode salvar vidas, mas a que diz mentiras é traidora.
26 In the reverence of Yahweh, is strong security, and, his children, shall have a place of refuge.
26 No temor ao Senhor , o homem encontra um forte apoio e também segurança para a sua família.
27 The reverence of Yahweh, is a well-spring of life, that a man may avoid the snares of death.
27 O temor ao Senhor é uma fonte de vida e ajuda a evitar as armadilhas da morte.
28 In the multitude of a people, is the majesty of the king, but, in the ceasing of population, is the ruin of the prince.
28 A grandeza de um rei depende do número de pessoas que ele governa; sem elas ele não é nada.
29 One slow to anger, hath great understanding, but, the hasty in spirit, exalteth folly.
29 A pessoa que se mantém calma é sábia, mas a que facilmente perde a calma mostra que não tem juízo.
30 The life of the whole body, is a tranquil mind, but, a decay of the bones, is jealousy.
30 A paz de espírito dá saúde ao corpo, mas a inveja destrói como câncer.
31 The oppressor of the poor, hath reproached his Maker, but he that sheweth favour to the needy, is one who, holdeth Him in honour.
31 Quem persegue os pobres insulta a Deus, que os fez, mas quem é bom para eles honra a Deus.
32 By his own wickedness, shall the lawless man, be thrust down, but the righteous, seeketh refuge in his integrity.
32 A maldade leva os maus à desgraça, mas a honestidade protege os bons.
33 In the heart of the intelligent, reposeth wisdom, but, in the midst of dullards, it maketh itself known.
33 No coração das pessoas sensatas mora a sabedoria, mas os tolos não a conhecem.
34 Righteousness, exalteth a nation, but, a reproach to any people, is sin.
34 A justiça engrandece um povo, mas o pecado é uma desgraça para qualquer nação.
35 The good-pleasure of a king, is due to a servant who is discreet, but, his indignation, shall be against him that bringeth shame.
35 Os reis recompensam os servidores competentes, mas castigam os que não agem bem.
