1 I, am the man, that hath seen affliction, by the rod of his indignation;
1 Eu sou o homem que viu a aflição por meio da vara da sua ira.
2 Me, hath he driven out and brought into darkness, and not light;
2 Ele me guiou e me trouxe para a escuridão, mas não para a luz.
3 Surely, against me, doth he again and again, turn his hand all the day.
3 Certamente contra mim ele se virou; ele vira a sua mão contra mim todo o dia.
4 He hath worn out my flesh and my skin, hath broken my bones;
4 Minha carne e a minha pele ele envelheceu; ele quebrou os meus ossos.
5 He hath built up against me, and carried round me, fortifications and a trench;
5 Ele construiu contra mim, e me cercou de fel e trabalho.
6 In dark places, hath he made me sit, like the dead of age-past times.
6 Ele me estabeleceu em lugares escuros, como aqueles que estão mortos há muito tempo.
7 He hath walled up around me, that I cannot get out, hath weighted my fetter;
7 Ele me cercou com uma sebe, de modo que não posso escapar; ele tornou pesada a minha corrente.
8 Yea, when I make outcry and implore, he hath shut out my prayer;
8 Também, quando eu clamo e grito, ele exclui a minha oração.
9 He hath walled in my ways with hewn stone, my paths, hath he caused to wind back.
9 Ele cercou os meus caminhos com pedra talhada; ele tornou os meus caminhos tortuosos.
10 A bear lying in wait, he is to me, a lion, in secret places;
10 Ele foi para mim como um urso na emboscada, e como um leão em lugares secretos.
11 My ways, hath he turned aside, and hath torn me in pieces, hath made me desolate;
11 Ele desviou os meus caminhos, e me rasgou em pedaços; ele tornou-me em desolação.
12 He hath trodden his bow, and set me up, as a mark for the arrow.
12 Ele retesou o seu arco, e colocou-me como um alvo para a flecha.
13 He hath caused to enter my reins, the sons of his quiver;
13 Ele fez as flechas da sua aljava entrarem em meus rins.
14 I have become a derision to all my people, their song all the day;
14 Eu fui um escárnio para todo o meu povo; e a sua canção todo o dia.
15 He hath sated me with bitter things, hath drenched me with wormwood.
15 Ele encheu-me de amargura; ele embebedou-me com absinto.
16 And he hath crushed, with gravel-stones, my teeth, hath made me cower in ashes;
16 Ele também quebrou os meus dentes com pedras de cascalho, e cobriu-me com cinzas.
17 And thou hast thrust away from welfare, my soul, I have forgotten prosperity;
17 E tu removeste a minha alma para muito longe da paz; eu esqueci a prosperidade.
18 And I said, Vanished is mine endurance, even mine expectation, from Yahweh.
18 E eu disse: Minha força e minha esperança estão perecidas por causa do SENHOR.
19 Remember my humiliation and my fleeings, the wormwood and poison;
19 Lembra-te da minha aflição e da minha tristeza, do absinto e do fel.
20 Thou wilt, indeed remember, that, bowed down concerning myself, is my soul;
20 Minha alma os tem na lembrança, e está humilhada dentro de mim.
21 This, will I bring back to my heart, therefore, will I hope.
21 Isto eu recordo na minha mente, portanto eu tenho esperança.
22 The lovingkindnesses of Yahweh, verily they are not exhausted, Verily! not at an end, are his compassions:
22 É pelas misericórdias do SENHOR que não somos consumidos, porque as suas compaixões não falham.
23 New things for the mornings! Abundant is thy faithfulness:
23 Elas são novas a cada manhã, grande é a tua fidelidade.
24 My portion, is Yahweh, saith my soul, For this cause, will I wait for him.
24 O SENHOR é a minha porção, diz a minha alma; portanto eu esperarei nele.
25 Good is Yahweh, to them who wait for him, to the soul that will seek him;
25 O SENHOR é bom para aqueles que esperam nele, para a alma que o busca.
26 Good it isboth to wait and to be silent, for the deliverance of Yahweh;
26 Isto é bom, que um homem deva confiar e quietamente aguardar a salvação do SENHOR.
27 Good it is for a man, that he should bear the yoke in his youth.
27 É bom para o homem que ele carregue o jugo na sua juventude.
28 Let him sit alone, and keep silence, because he took it upon himself:
28 Ele senta-se sozinho e permanece em silêncio, porque ele o carrega sobre si.
29 Let him put, in the dust, his mouth, peradventure, there is hope!
29 Ele coloca no pó a sua boca, para que assim possa haver esperança.
30 Let him give, to him that smiteth him, his cheek, let him be sated with reproach.
30 Ele dá a sua face para aquele que o golpeia; ele está repleto de reprovação.
31 Surely My Lord, will not cast off, unto times age-abiding;
31 Pois o Senhor não o rejeitará para sempre.
32 Surely, though he cause grief, yet will he have compassion, according to the multitude of his lovingkindnesses;
32 Embora ele cause a tristeza, ainda assim ele terá compaixão de acordo com a multidão das suas misericórdias.
33 Surely he hath not afflicted from his heart, nor caused sorrow to the sons of men.
33 Pois ele não aflige nem entristece de bom grado os filhos dos homens.
34 To crush, under his feet, any of the prisoners of the earth;
34 Esmagar sob os pés todos os prisioneiros da terra,
35 To turn aside the right of a man, before the face of the Most High;
35 desviar o direito de um homem perante a face do Altíssimo,
36 To oppress a son of earth in his cause, My Lord, hath made no provision.
36 subverter um homem em sua causa, isso o Senhor não aprova.
37 Who was it that spake, and it was done, , My Lord, had not commanded?
37 Quem é aquele que diz, e assim acontece, quando o Senhor não o ordenou?
38 Out of the mouth of the Most High, Proceed there not misfortunes and blessing?
38 Da boca do Altíssimo não procedem o mal e o bem?
39 Why should a living son of earth complain, because of his sins?
39 Portanto, do que reclama um homem vivente, da punição pelos seus pecados?
40 Let us search out our ways, and examine them well, and let us return unto Yahweh;
40 Vamos buscar e experimentar os nossos caminhos, e voltar novamente para o SENHOR.
41 Let us lift up our heart, to the opened palms, to the Mighty One in the heavens;
41 Vamos erguer o nosso coração juntamente com as nossas mãos a Deus nos céus.
42 We, have trespassed and rebelled, Thou, hast not pardoned.
42 Nós transgredimos e nos rebelamos; tu não perdoaste.
43 Thou hast covered thyself with anger, and pursued us, hast slainhast not spared;
43 Tu te cobriste com fúria, e nos perseguiste; tu nos mataste e não tiveste misericórdia.
44 Thou hast screened thyself with the clouds, that prayer, should not pass through;
44 Tu te cobriste com uma nuvem, para que a nossa oração não passasse.
45 Offscouring and refuse, dost thou make us, in the midst of the peoples.
45 Tu nos fizeste como escória e refugo no meio do povo.
46 With their mouth, opened wide over us, all our foes.
46 Todos os nossos inimigos abriram as suas bocas contra nós.
47 Terror and a pit, have befallen us, tumult and grievous injury;
47 Temor e armadilha nos sobrevieram; desolação e destruição.
48 With streams of water, mine eye runneth down, over the grievous injury of the daughter of my people.
48 Dos meus olhos descem rios de água, por causa da destruição da filha do meu povo.
49 Mine eye, poureth itself out and ceaseth not, without relief;
49 O meu olho goteja e não cessa, sem qualquer intervalo.
50 Until Yahweh out of the heavens shall look forth, and see,
50 Até que o SENHOR olhe para baixo, e contemple desde o céu.
51 Mine eye dealeth severely with my soul, because of all the daughters of my city.
51 O meu olho afetou o meu coração, por causa de todas as filhas da minha cidade.
52 They, have laid snares, for me as a bird, who are mine enemies without cause:
52 Os meus inimigos me perseguiram dolorosamente, como a um pássaro, sem causa.
53 They have cut off, in the dungeon, my life, and have cast a stone upon me;
53 Eles cortaram a minha vida dentro da masmorra, e lançaram uma pedra sobre mim.
54 Waters, flowed over, my head, I said, I am cut off!
54 Águas fluíram sobre minha cabeça, então eu disse: Eu estou cortado.
55 I have called upon thy Name, O Yahweh, out of the dungeon below;
55 Eu invoquei o teu nome, ó SENHOR, de dentro da profunda masmorra.
56 My voice, thou hast heard,do not close thine ear to my respite, to mine outcry;
56 Tu ouviste a minha voz; não escondas o teu ouvido ao meu respirar, ao meu clamor.
57 Thou drewest near, in the day I kept calling on thee, thou saidst, Do not fear!
57 Tu te aproximaste no dia em que eu te invoquei; tu disseste: Não temas.
58 Thou hast pleaded, O My Lord, the pleas of my soul, hast redeemed my life;
58 Ó Senhor, tu pleiteaste as causas da minha alma; tu remiste a minha vida.
59 Thou hast beheld, O Yahweh, my failure to get justice, Pronounce thou my sentence;
59 Ó SENHOR, tu viste o meu erro. Julga tu a minha causa.
60 Thou hast seen all their vindictiveness, all their plots against me.
60 Tu viste toda a sua vingança, e tudo o que imaginaram contra mim.
61 Thou hast heard their reproach, O Yahweh, all their plots against me;
61 Tu ouviste a sua desonra, ó SENHOR, e tudo o que imaginaram contra mim,
62 The lips of mine assailants, and their mutterings, are against me, all the day;
62 os lábios daqueles que se levantaram contra mim, e os seus planos contra mim todos os dias.
63 On their downsitting and their uprising, do thou look, I, am their song.
63 Observa o seu assentar e o seu levantar; eu sou a sua música.
64 Thou wilt render to them a recompense, O Yahweh, according to the work of their hands;
64 Retribui-lhes uma recompensa, ó SENHOR, de acordo com a obra das suas mãos.
65 Thou wilt suffer them a veiling of heart, thy curse to them;
65 Dá-lhes tristeza de coração, tua maldição sobre eles.
66 Thou wilt pursue in anger, and wilt destroy them, from under the heavens of Yahweh.
66 Na tua ira, persegue-os e destrói-os debaixo dos céus do SENHOR.
