1 ALEPHI am the man that has seen affliction by the rod of his wrath.
1 Eu sou o homem que conheceu a dor, sob a vara de seu furor.
2 He has led me and caused me to walk in darkness, and not in light.
2 Conduziu-me e me fez caminhar nas trevas e não na claridade.
3 Surely against me he turns his hand again and again all the day.BET
3 Ele não cessa de voltar a mão todos os dias contra mim.
4 My flesh and my skin he has made old; he has broken my bones.
4 Consumiu minha carne e minha pele, partiu meus ossos.
5 He has built against me, and surrounded me with bitterness and hardship.
5 Em torno de mim acumulou veneno e dor.
6 He has made me to dwell in dark places, like those that have been long dead.GIMEL
6 Fez-me morar nas trevas como os mortos do tempo antigo.
7 He has walled me in, so I can't escape; he has made my chains heavy.
7 Cercou-me com muralhas sem saída, carregou-me de pesados grilhões.
8 Yes, when I cry, and call for help, he shuts out my prayer.
8 Não obstante meus gritos e apelos sufocou a minha prece!
9 He has walled up my ways with cut stone; he has made my paths crooked.DALET
9 Fechou-me a vereda com pedras e obstruiu o meu caminho.
10 He is to me as a bear lying in wait, as a lion in hiding.
10 Foi ele para mim qual urso de emboscada, qual leão traiçoeiro.
11 He has obstructed my path, and torn me in pieces; he has made me desolate.
11 Desviou-me para me dilacerar, deixando-me no abandono.
12 He has bent his bow, and set me as a mark for the arrow.HEY
12 Retesou o arco e me tomou para alvo de suas setas.
13 He has caused the arrows of his quiver to pierce my inward parts.
13 Cravou em meus rins as flechas de sua aljava.
14 I have become a laughingstock to all my people, and their song all the day.
14 Tornei-me escárnio do meu povo, objeto constante de suas canções.
15 He has filled me with bitterness, he has given me in full measure wormwood.VAV
15 Saturou-me de amarguras, saciou-me de absinto.
16 He has also broken my teeth with gravel; he has pressed me down in the dust.
16 Quebrou-me os dentes com cascalhos, mergulhou-me em cinzas.
17 You have removed my soul far away from peace; I have forgotten what prosperity is.
17 A paz foi roubada de minha alma, nem sei mais o que é felicidade.
18 And I said, "My strength and my hope has perished from the Lord."ZAYIN
18 E eu penso: perdi minha força e minha esperança no Senhor.
19 Remember my affliction and my misery, the wormwood and the gall.
19 A lembrança de meus tormentos e minhas misérias é para mim absinto e veneno.
20 My soul considers them, and is depressed.
20 A pensar nisso sem cessar, minha alma desfalece dentro de mim.
21 But this I call to my mind; therefore I have hope:HET
21 Eis, porém, o que vou tomar a peito para recuperar a esperança.
22 The Lord's faithful love does not cease; his compassion does not fail.
22 É graças ao Senhor que não fomos aniquilados, porque não se esgotou sua piedade.
23 They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.
23 Cada manhã ele se manifesta e grande é sua fidelidade.
24 "The Lord is my portion," says my soul, "therefore will I hope in him."TET
24 Disse-me a alma: o Senhor é minha partilha, e assim nele confio.
25 The Lord is good to those who wait for him, to the soul that seeks him.
25 O Senhor é bom para quem nele confia, para a alma que o procura.
26 It is good that a man should hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the Lord.
26 Bom é esperar em silêncio o socorro do Senhor.
27 It is good for a man that he bear the yoke while he is young.YOD
27 É bom para o homem carregar seu jugo na mocidade.
28 Let him sit alone and keep silence when he is disciplining him.
28 Permaneça só e em silêncio, quando Deus lho determinar!
29 Let him put his mouth to the dust, there may yet be hope.
29 Leve sua boca ao pó; haverá, talvez, esperança?
30 Let him give his cheek to him who strikes him; let him be filled with insults.KAPH
30 Estenda a face a quem o fere, e se farte de opróbrios!
31 For the Lord will not reject forever.
31 Porque o Senhor não repele para sempre.
32 For though he may cause grief, yet he will have compassion according to the abundance of his loving kindness.
32 Após haver afligido, ele tem piedade, porque é grande sua misericórdia.
33 For he is not predisposed to bring affliction or suffering to the children of men.LAMED
33 Não lhe alegra o coração humilhar e afligir os homens.
34 To crush under foot all the prisoners of the earth;
34 Calcar aos pés todos os cativos da terra;
35 to deprive a man of justice before the face of the Most High,
35 violar o direito de um homem à face do Altíssimo;
36 to subvert a man in his cause, the Lord does not approve.MEM
36 lesar os direitos de outros... Não vê tudo isso o Senhor?
37 Who can speak a thing and have it come to pass, unless the Lord has commanded it?
37 De quem se executa a ordem, sem que Deus a ordene?
38 Doesn't both calamity and good come out of the mouth of the Most High?
38 Não é da boca do Altíssimo que procedem males e bens?
39 Why does a living man complain, a man for the punishment of his sins?NUN
39 De que pode o homem em vida queixar-se? Que cada um se queixe de seus pecados.
40 Let us examine and search our ways, and return to the Lord.
40 Examinemos, escrutemos o nosso proceder, e voltemos para o Senhor.
41 Let us lift up our heart with our hands to God in the heavens.
41 Elevemos os corações, tanto quanto as mãos, para Deus lá nos céus.
42 We have transgressed and have rebelled, and you have not forgiven.SAMEKH
42 Pecamos, recalcitramos, e não nos perdoastes.
43 You have covered yourself with anger and pursued us; you killed without sparing.
43 Cobristes-vos de cólera para nos perseguir. Matastes sem piedade.
44 You have covered yourself with a cloud, so that no prayer can pass through.
44 Numa nuvem vos envolvestes para impedir que a prece a atravessasse.
45 You have made us rubbish and refuse in the midst of the peoples.PEY
45 E de nós fizestes raspas, refugo das nações.
46 All our enemies have opened their mouth wide against us.
46 Contra nós abrem a boca todos os nossos inimigos.
47 Fear and the pit have come on us, devastation and destruction.
47 Fosso e terror - é o nosso quinhão, com ruínas e desolação.
48 Streams of tears run down from my eyes because of the destruction of the daughter of my people.AYIN
48 Rios de lágrimas correm-me dos olhos, por causa da ruína da filha de meu povo.
49 My tears flow and do not cease, without respite,
49 Não cessam meus olhos de chorar, porque não cessa {a desgraça},
50 until the Lord looks down and sees from heaven.
50 até que do alto dos céus o Senhor desça seu olhar.
51 My eyes bring my soul grief, because of all the daughters of my city.TZADE
51 Minha alma se amargura, ao ver todas as filhas da minha cidade.
52 They have chased me relentlessly like a bird, those who are my enemies without cause.
52 Caçaram-me como a um pardal os que, sem razão, me odeiam.
53 They have cut off my life in a pit, and have cast a stone on me.
53 Quiseram precipitar-me no fosso rolando uma pedra sobre mim.
54 Waters flowed over my head; I said, 'I am finished.'QOPH
54 Acima de mim subiam as águas: Estou perdido!, exclamei.
55 I called on your name, Lord, out of the depths of the pit.
55 Invoquei, Senhor, o vosso nome do profundo fosso.
56 You heard my voice; do not hide your ear at my sighs, to my cry.
56 Ouvistes-me gritar: Não aparteis do meu chamado o vosso ouvido.
57 You drew near in the day that I called on you; you said, "Do not be afraid."RESH
57 E vós viestes no dia em que vos invoquei e dissestes: Não tenhas medo!
58 Lord, you have taken up the case for my soul; you have redeemed my life.
58 Defendestes, Senhor, a minha causa, e minha vida resgatastes.
59 Lord, you have seen the wrong done to me; judge my case.
59 Vistes, Senhor, o mal que me fizeram: fazei-me justiça.
60 You have seen all their vengeance and all their plots against me.SHIN
60 Vós vedes seus projetos vingativos e suas tramas contra mim.
61 You have heard their insults, Lord, and all their plots against me.
61 Senhor, ouvistes suas injúrias e todos os seus conluios contra mim;
62 The lips of those that rose up against me, and their plots against me all day long.
62 As palavras de meus inimigos e o que sem cessar estão tramando contra mim.
63 Behold their sitting down, and their rising up; I am their mocking song.TAV
63 Observai-os: sentados ou de pé, fazem de mim objeto de suas canções.
64 You will render to them what they deserve, Lord, according to the work of their hands.
64 Dai-lhes, Senhor, a paga, o que merece o seu proceder.
65 You will give them hardness of heart as your curse to them.
65 Cegai-lhes o coração; feri-os com a vossa maldição;
66 You will pursue them in anger, and destroy them from under the heavens of the Lord.
66 persegui-os com vossa cólera, e exterminai-os do nosso universo, Senhor!
