1 ALEPH. Happy are they whose way is perfect, who walk in the law of the Lord.
1 Bem-aventurados os irrepreensíveis no seu caminho, que andam na lei do
2 Happy are they who keep his testimonies, that seek him with all their heart.
2 Bem-aventurados os que guardam as suas prescrições e o buscam de todo o coração;
3 They also commit no injustice; in his ways do they walk.
3 não praticam iniquidade e andam nos seus caminhos.
4 Thou thyself hast commanded us thy precepts, that we might keep them diligently.
4 Tu ordenaste os teus mandamentos, para que os cumpramos à risca.
5 Oh that my ways were firmly directed to observe thy statutes!
5 Tomara sejam firmes os meus passos, para que eu observe os teus preceitos.
6 Then would I not be made ashamed, while I look at all thy commandments.
6 Então, não terei de que me envergonhar, quando considerar em todos os teus mandamentos.
7 I will thank thee with uprightness of heart, when I learn thy righteous ordinances.
7 Render-te-ei graças com integridade de coração, quando tiver aprendido os teus retos juízos.
8 Thy statutes will I observe: oh forsake me not too greatly.
8 Cumprirei os teus decretos; não me desampares jamais.
9 BETH. Wherewithal shall a youth keep his way pure? by guarding it according to thy word.
9 De que maneira poderá o jovem guardar puro o seu caminho? Observando-o segundo a tua palavra.
10 With all my heart have I sought thee: oh let me not wander astray from thy commandments.
10 De todo o coração te busquei; não me deixes fugir aos teus mandamentos.
11 In my heart have I treasured up thy saying, in order that I may not sin against thee.
11 Guardo no coração as tuas palavras, para não pecar contra ti.
12 Blessed art thou, O Lord: teach me thy statutes.
12 Bendito és tu, Senhor ; ensina-me os teus preceitos.
13 With my lips have I related all the ordinances of thy mouth.
13 Com os lábios tenho narrado todos os juízos da tua boca.
14 On the way of thy testimonies have I been glad, as over all wealth.
14 Mais me regozijo com o caminho dos teus testemunhos do que com todas as riquezas.
15 On thy precepts will I meditate, and direct my look unto thy paths.
15 Meditarei nos teus preceitos e às tuas veredas terei respeito.
16 In thy statutes will I seek my delight: I will not forget thy word.
16 Terei prazer nos teus decretos; não me esquecerei da tua palavra.
17 GIMEL. Deal bountifully with thy servant: let me live, that I may observe thy word.
17 Sê generoso para com o teu servo, para que eu viva e observe a tua palavra.
18 Open thou my eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of thy law.
18 Desvenda os meus olhos, para que eu contemple as maravilhas da tua lei.
19 A stranger am I on the earth: hide not from me thy commandments.
19 Sou peregrino na terra; não escondas de mim os teus mandamentos.
20 My soul is broken from longing for thy ordinances at all times.
20 Consumida está a minha alma por desejar, incessantemente, os teus juízos.
21 Thou hast rebuked the accursed proud, who go erringly astray from thy commandments.
21 Increpaste os soberbos, os malditos, que se desviam dos teus mandamentos.
22 Roll away from me reproach and contempt; for thy testimonies have I kept.
22 Tira de sobre mim o opróbrio e o desprezo, pois tenho guardado os teus testemunhos.
23 Although even princes should sit and speak against me, thy servant would still meditate on thy statutes.
23 Assentaram-se príncipes e falaram contra mim, mas o teu servo considerou nos teus decretos.
24 Also thy testimonies are my delight, my counsellors.
24 Com efeito, os teus testemunhos são o meu prazer, são os meus conselheiros.
25 DALETH. My soul cleaveth unto the dust: revive thou me according to thy word.
25 A minha alma está apegada ao pó; vivifica-me segundo a tua palavra.
26 My ways do I relate to thee, and thou answerest me: teach me thy statutes.
26 Eu te expus os meus caminhos, e tu me valeste; ensina-me os teus decretos.
27 Cause me to understand the way of thy precepts, that I may meditate on thy wonders.
27 Faze-me atinar com o caminho dos teus preceitos, e meditarei nas tuas maravilhas.
28 My soul droppeth away from grief: sustain me according to thy word.
28 A minha alma, de tristeza, verte lágrimas; fortalece-me segundo a tua palavra.
29 The way of falsehood do thou remove from me, and grant me graciously thy law.
29 Afasta de mim o caminho da falsidade e favorece-me com a tua lei.
30 The way of truth have I chosen: thy ordinances have I set before me.
30 Escolhi o caminho da fidelidade e decidi-me pelos teus juízos.
31 I have adhered unto thy testimonies: O Lord, put me not to shame.
31 Aos teus testemunhos me apego; não permitas,
32 The way of thy commandments will I run; for thou wilt enlarge my heart.
32 Percorrerei o caminho dos teus mandamentos, quando me alegrares o coração.
33 HE. Teach me, O Lord, the way of thy statutes, and I shall keep it in all its windings.
33 Ensina-me, Senhor , o caminho dos teus decretos, e os seguirei até ao fim.
34 Give me understanding, that I may keep thy law, and I will observe it with all my heart.
34 Dá-me entendimento, e guardarei a tua lei; de todo o coração a cumprirei.
35 Guide me on the path of thy commandments; for therein do I find my delight.
35 Guia-me pela vereda dos teus mandamentos, pois nela me comprazo.
36 Incline my heart unto thy testimonies, and not to desire for gain.
36 Inclina-me o coração aos teus testemunhos e não à cobiça.
37 Turn away my eyes from beholding vanity: on thy way do thou give me life.
37 Desvia os meus olhos, para que não vejam a vaidade, e vivifica-me no teu caminho.
38 Fulfill unto thy servant thy promise for those who are devoted to thy fear.
38 Confirma ao teu servo a tua promessa feita aos que te temem.
39 Cause to pass away my disgrace of which I have dread; for thy ordinances are good.
39 Afasta de mim o opróbrio, que temo, porque os teus juízos são bons.
40 Behold, I have longed after thy precepts: through thy righteousness do thou give my life.
40 Eis que tenho suspirado pelos teus preceitos; vivifica-me por tua justiça.
41 VAV. And let thy kindness come unto me, O Lord, thy salvation, according to thy promise.
41 Venham também sobre mim as tuas misericórdias, Senhor , e a tua salvação, segundo a tua promessa.
42 Then shall I have a word to answer the one that reproacheth me; for I trust in thy word.
42 E saberei responder aos que me insultam, pois confio na tua palavra.
43 And snatch not the word of truth out of my mouth too greatly; for I wait for thy ordinances.
43 Não tires jamais de minha boca a palavra da verdade, pois tenho esperado nos teus juízos.
44 So shall I observe thy law continually for ever and ever.
44 Assim, observarei de contínuo a tua lei, para todo o sempre.
45 And I will walk in an open space; for thy precepts have I sought.
45 E andarei com largueza, pois me empenho pelos teus preceitos.
46 And I will speak of thy testimonies before kings, and will not be ashamed.
46 Também falarei dos teus testemunhos na presença dos reis e não me envergonharei.
47 And I will delight myself in thy commandments, which I love.
47 Terei prazer nos teus mandamentos, os quais eu amo.
48 And so will I lift up my hands unto thy commandments, which I love, and I will meditate on thy statutes.
48 Para os teus mandamentos, que amo, levantarei as mãos e meditarei nos teus decretos.
49 ZAYIN. Remember thy word unto thy servant, upon which thou hast caused me to wait.
49 Lembra-te da promessa que fizeste ao teu servo, na qual me tens feito esperar.
50 This is my comfort in my affliction, that thy promise hath revived me.
50 O que me consola na minha angústia é isto: que a tua palavra me vivifica.
51 The presumptuous have held me too greatly in derision: yet have I not departed away from thy law.
51 Os soberbos zombam continuamente de mim; todavia, não me afasto da tua lei.
52 I remembered thy decrees which were from olden times, O Lord, and thus comforted myself.
52 Lembro-me dos teus juízos de outrora e me conforto, ó
53 Horror seized on me because of the wicked that forsake thy law.
53 De mim se apoderou a indignação, por causa dos pecadores que abandonaram a tua lei.
54 Songs have thy statutes been unto me in the house of my pilgrimage.
54 Os teus decretos são motivo dos meus cânticos, na casa da minha peregrinação.
55 I remembered in the night thy name, O Lord, and observed thy law.
55 Lembro-me, Senhor , do teu nome, durante a noite, e observo a tua lei.
56 This came to pass unto me, because I had kept thy precepts.
56 Tem-se dado assim comigo, porque guardo os teus preceitos.
57 CHETH. My portion is the Lord, have I said, that I might observe thy words.
57 O Senhor é a minha porção; eu disse que guardaria as tuas palavras.
58 I make entreaty before thee with all my heart: be gracious unto me according to thy promise.
58 Imploro de todo o coração a tua graça; compadece-te de mim, segundo a tua palavra.
59 I have thought over my ways, and made my feet return unto thy testimonies.
59 Considero os meus caminhos e volto os meus passos para os teus testemunhos.
60 I hastened, and delayed not to observe thy commandments.
60 Apresso-me, não me detenho em guardar os teus mandamentos.
61 Companies of wicked men have surrounded me; but I have not forgotten thy law.
61 Laços de perversos me enleiam; contudo, não me esqueço da tua lei.
62 At midnights do I constantly rise to give thanks unto thee, because of thy righteous decrees.
62 Levanto-me à meia-noite para te dar graças, por causa dos teus retos juízos.
63 An associate am I unto all that fear thee, and unto those that keep thy precepts.
63 Companheiro sou de todos os que te temem e dos que guardam os teus preceitos.
64 Of thy kindness, O Lord, is the earth full: teach me thy statutes.
64 A terra, Senhor , está cheia da tua bondade; ensina-me os teus decretos.
65 TETH. Thou hast shown goodness on thy servant, O Lord, according to thy word.
65 Tens feito bem ao teu servo,
66 The best of discernment and knowledge do thou teach me; for in thy commandments do I believe.
66 Ensina-me bom juízo e conhecimento, pois creio nos teus mandamentos.
67 Before I was afflicted I was in error; but now I observe thy saying.
67 Antes de ser afligido, andava errado, mas agora guardo a tua palavra.
68 Thou art good, and doing good: teach me thy statutes.
68 Tu és bom e fazes o bem; ensina-me os teus decretos.
69 The presumptuous have invented falsehoods against me; but I will with all my heart indeed keep thy precepts.
69 Os soberbos têm forjado mentiras contra mim; não obstante, eu guardo de todo o coração os teus preceitos.
70 Gross as fat is their heart; but I take truly delight in thy law.
70 Tornou-se-lhes o coração insensível, como se fosse de sebo; mas eu me comprazo na tua lei.
71 It is well for me that I have been afflicted, in order that I might learn thy statutes.
71 Foi-me bom ter eu passado pela aflição, para que aprendesse os teus decretos.
72 Better is unto me the law of thy mouth than thousands of gold and silver.
72 Para mim vale mais a lei que procede de tua boca do que milhares de ouro ou de prata.
73 YOD. Thy hands have made me and established me: give me understanding, that I may learn thy commandments.
73 As tuas mãos me fizeram e me afeiçoaram; ensina-me para que aprenda os teus mandamentos.
74 Those that fear thee will see me and be rejoiced; because I have waited for thy word.
74 Alegraram-se os que te temem quando me viram, porque na tua palavra tenho esperado.
75 I know, O Lord, that thy decrees are righteous, and that in faithfulness thou hast afflicted me.
75 Bem sei, ó Senhor , que os teus juízos são justos e que com fidelidade me afligiste.
76 Let, I pray thee, thy kindness come to comfort me, according to thy promise unto thy servant.
76 Venha, pois, a tua bondade consolar-me, segundo a palavra que deste ao teu servo.
77 Let thy mercies come unto me, that I may live; for thy law is my delight.
77 Baixem sobre mim as tuas misericórdias, para que eu viva; pois na tua lei está o meu prazer.
78 Let the presumptuous be made ashamed; because they have without a cause dealt perversely with me; but I will indeed meditate on thy precepts.
78 Envergonhados sejam os soberbos por me haverem oprimido injustamente; eu, porém, meditarei nos teus preceitos.
79 Let those that fear thee return unto me, and those that know thy testimonies.
79 Voltem-se para mim os que te temem e os que conhecem os teus testemunhos.
80 Let my heart be entire in thy statutes, in order that I may not be put to shame.
80 Seja o meu coração irrepreensível nos teus decretos, para que eu não seja envergonhado.
81 CAPH. My soul ardently desireth for thy salvation: for thy word do I wait.
81 Desfalece-me a alma, aguardando a tua salvação; porém espero na tua palavra.
82 My eyes look eagerly for thy promise, saying, When wilt thou comfort me?
82 Esmorecem os meus olhos de tanto esperar por tua promessa, enquanto digo: quando me haverás de consolar?
83 For I am become like a bottle in the smoke: yet do I not forget thy statutes.
83 Já me assemelho a um odre na fumaça; contudo, não me esqueço dos teus decretos.
84 How many are the days of thy servant? when wilt thou execute justice on my persecutors?
84 Quantos vêm a ser os dias do teu servo? Quando me farás justiça contra os que me perseguem?
85 The presumptuous have dug pits for me, which is not in accordance with thy law.
85 Para mim abriram covas os soberbos, que não andam consoante a tua lei.
86 All thy commandments are founded on truth: without cause they persecute me; help thou me.
86 São verdadeiros todos os teus mandamentos; eles me perseguem injustamente; ajuda-me.
87 But little was wanting that they had consumed me upon earth; but I have truly not forsaken thy precepts.
87 Quase deram cabo de mim, na terra; mas eu não deixo os teus preceitos.
88 According to thy kindness give me life, that I may observe the testimony of thy mouth.
88 Vivifica-me, segundo a tua misericórdia, e guardarei os testemunhos oriundos de tua boca.
89 LAMED. To eternity, O Lord, standeth firm thy word with the heavens.
89 Para sempre, ó Senhor , está firmada a tua palavra no céu.
90 Unto all generations endureth thy faithfulness: thou hast established the earth, and she standeth.
90 A tua fidelidade estende-se de geração em geração; fundaste a terra, e ela permanece.
91 According to thy ordinances they exist this day: for all are thy servants.
91 Conforme os teus juízos, assim tudo se mantém até hoje; porque ao teu dispor estão todas as coisas.
92 Unless thy law had been my delights, I should long since have been lost in my affliction.
92 Não fosse a tua lei ter sido o meu prazer, há muito já teria eu perecido na minha angústia.
93 Never will I forget thy precepts; for with them thou hast kept me alive.
93 Nunca me esquecerei dos teus preceitos, visto que por eles me tens dado vida.
94 Thine am I, save me; for thy precepts have I sought.
94 Sou teu; salva-me, pois eu busco os teus preceitos.
95 Wicked men have waited for me to destroy me; but I will reflect on thy testimonies.
95 Os ímpios me espreitam para perder-me; mas eu atento para os teus testemunhos.
96 Of all perfection have I seen the end; but thy commandment is exceedingly extended.
96 Tenho visto que toda perfeição tem seu limite; mas o teu mandamento é ilimitado.
97 MEM. Oh how do I love thy law! all the day is it my meditation.
97 Quanto amo a tua lei! É a minha meditação, todo o dia!
98 Wiser than my enemy doth thy commandment make me; for it is perpetually with me.
98 Os teus mandamentos me fazem mais sábio que os meus inimigos; porque, aqueles, eu os tenho sempre comigo.
99 Above all my teachers have I obtained intelligence; for thy testimonies are my meditation.
99 Compreendo mais do que todos os meus mestres, porque medito nos teus testemunhos.
100 More than the elders do I possess understanding; because thy precepts do I keep.
100 Sou mais prudente que os idosos, porque guardo os teus preceitos.
101 From every evil path have I withholden my feet, in order that I might observe thy word.

102 From thy ordinances have I not departed; for thou hast instructed me.
102 Não me aparto dos teus juízos, pois tu me ensinas.
103 How much sweeter are to my palate thy sayings than honey to my mouth!
103 Quão doces são as tuas palavras ao meu paladar! Mais que o mel à minha boca.
104 Through thy precepts shall I obtain understanding: therefore do I hate every path of falsehood.
104 Por meio dos teus preceitos, consigo entendimento; por isso, detesto todo caminho de falsidade.
105 NUN. A lamp unto my feet is thy word, and a light unto my path.
105 Lâmpada para os meus pés é a tua palavra e, luz para os meus caminhos.
106 I have sworn, and I will perform it, to observe thy righteous ordinances.
106 Jurei e confirmei o juramento de guardar os teus retos juízos.
107 I am afflicted exceedingly much: O Lord, revive me, according to thy word.
107 Estou aflitíssimo; vivifica-me,
108 Receive in favor the freewillofferings of my mouth, I beseech thee, O Lord, and teach me thy ordinances.
108 Aceita, Senhor , a espontânea oferenda dos meus lábios e ensina-me os teus juízos.
109 My life is in my hand continually: yet thy law do I not forget.
109 Estou de contínuo em perigo de vida; todavia, não me esqueço da tua lei.
110 The wicked have laid a snare for me: yet have I not erred from thy precepts.
110 Armam ciladas contra mim os ímpios; contudo, não me desvio dos teus preceitos.
111 I have taken thy testimonies as a heritage to eternity; for they are the joy of my heart.
111 Os teus testemunhos, recebi-os por legado perpétuo, porque me constituem o prazer do coração.
112 I have inclined my heart to perform thy statutes always, in all their ways.

113 SAMECH. Those of divided thoughts I hate; but thy law do I love.
113 Aborreço a duplicidade, porém amo a tua lei.
114 My shelter and my shield art thou: for thy word do I wait.
114 Tu és o meu refúgio e o meu escudo; na tua palavra, eu espero.
115 Depart from me, ye evildoers, that I may keep the commandments of God.

116 Uphold me according to thy promise, that I may live, and let me not be made ashamed of my hope.

117 Support me that I may be placed in safety, and I will direct my regard unto thy statutes continually.

118 Thou hast trodden down all that erringly stray from thy statutes; for falsehood is their deceit.
118 Desprezas os que se desviam dos teus decretos, porque falsidade é a astúcia deles.
119 Like dross dost thou put away all the wicked of the earth: therefore do I love thy testimonies.
119 Rejeitas, como escória, todos os ímpios da terra; por isso, amo os teus testemunhos.
120 My flesh trembleth shudderingly from dread of thee, and of thy decrees am I afraid.
120 Arrepia-se-me a carne com temor de ti, e temo os teus juízos.
121 AYIN. I have executed justice and righteousness: leave me not to those who oppress me.
121 Tenho praticado juízo e justiça; não me entregues aos meus opressores.
122 Protect thy servant for good: let not the presumptuous oppress me.
122 Sê fiador do teu servo para o bem; não permitas que os soberbos me oprimam.
123 My eyes look eagerly for thy salvation, and for thy righteous promise.
123 Desfalecem-me os olhos à espera da tua salvação e da promessa da tua justiça.
124 Deal with thy servant according to thy kindness, and thy statutes do thou teach me.
124 Trata o teu servo segundo a tua misericórdia e ensina-me os teus decretos.
125 I am thy servant: give me understanding, that I may know thy testimonies.
125 Sou teu servo; dá-me entendimento, para que eu conheça os teus testemunhos.
126 It is time to act for the Lord: they have broken thy law.
126 Já é tempo, Senhor , para intervires, pois a tua lei está sendo violada.
127 Therefore do I love thy commandments more than gold, and more than fine gold.
127 Amo os teus mandamentos mais do que o ouro, mais do que o ouro refinado.
128 Therefore do I esteem all thy precepts in all things as right: every path of falsehood do I hate.
128 Por isso, tenho por, em tudo, retos os teus preceitos todos e aborreço todo caminho de falsidade.
129 PE. Wonderful are thy testimonies: therefore doth my soul keep them.

130 The opening of thy words giveth light, it giveth understanding unto the simple.

131 I opened my mouth, and panted for breath; because for thy commandments did I long.

132 Turn thou unto me, and be gracious unto me, as is thy wont unto those that love thy name.
132 Volta-te para mim e tem piedade de mim, segundo costumas fazer aos que amam o teu nome.
133 My steps establish thou through thy promise, and suffer not any wrong to have dominion over me.
133 Firma os meus passos na tua palavra, e não me domine iniquidade alguma.
134 Deliver me from the oppression of man, and I will observe thy precepts.
134 Livra-me da opressão do homem, e guardarei os teus preceitos.
135 Let thy face shine upon thy servant, and teach me thy statutes.
135 Faze resplandecer o rosto sobre o teu servo e ensina-me os teus decretos.
136 Streams of water have run down my eyes; because they had not observed thy law.
136 Torrentes de água nascem dos meus olhos, porque os homens não guardam a tua lei.
137 TZADDE. Righteous art thou, O Lord, and upright are thy decrees.
137 Justo és, Senhor , e retos, os teus juízos.
138 Thou hast commanded thy testimonies, as righteous and faithful exceedingly.
138 Os teus testemunhos, tu os impuseste com retidão e com suma fidelidade.
139 My zeal destroyeth me; because my assailants have forgotten thy words.
139 O meu zelo me consome, porque os meus adversários se esquecem da tua palavra.
140 Thy promise is greatly refined, and thy servant loveth it.
140 Puríssima é a tua palavra; por isso, o teu servo a estima.
141 I am little and despised: yet thy precepts have I not forgotten.
141 Pequeno sou e desprezado; contudo, não me esqueço dos teus preceitos.
142 Thy righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, and thy law is the truth.
142 A tua justiça é justiça eterna, e a tua lei é a própria verdade.
143 Distress and trouble have overtaken me: yet are thy commandments my delights.
143 Sobre mim vieram tribulação e angústia; todavia, os teus mandamentos são o meu prazer.
144 Righteous are thy testimonies for everlasting: give me understanding, that I may live.
144 Eterna é a justiça dos teus testemunhos; dá-me a inteligência deles, e viverei.
145 KOPH. I have called with all my heart: answer me, O Lord: thy statutes will I keep.
145 De todo o coração eu te invoco; ouve-me, Senhor ; observo os teus decretos.
146 I have called on thee, save me, and I will observe thy testimonies.
146 Clamo a ti; salva-me, e guardarei os teus testemunhos.
147 I come before thee in the dawn of morning, and cry: for thy word do I wait.
147 Antecipo-me ao alvorecer do dia e clamo; na tua palavra, espero confiante.
148 My eyes are awake before the nightwatches, that I may meditate in thy saying.
148 Os meus olhos antecipam-se às vigílias noturnas, para que eu medite nas tuas palavras.
149 Hear my voice according to thy kindness: O Lord, according to thy decree do thou grant me life.
149 Ouve, Senhor , a minha voz, segundo a tua bondade; vivifica-me, segundo os teus juízos.
150 They that pursue mischievous devices draw nigh: from thy law are they far.
150 Aproximam-se de mim os que andam após a maldade; eles se afastam da tua lei.
151 Near art thou, O Lord; and all thy commandments are the truth.
151 Tu estás perto, Senhor , e todos os teus mandamentos são verdade.
152 Of old already I knew of thy testimonies; because for eternity hast thou founded them.
152 Quanto às tuas prescrições, há muito sei que as estabeleceste para sempre.
153 RESH. Look on my affliction, and release me; for thy law have I not forgotten.
153 Atenta para a minha aflição e livra-me, pois não me esqueço da tua lei.
154 Plead my cause, and deliver me: according to thy promise do thou revive me.
154 Defende a minha causa e liberta-me; vivifica-me, segundo a tua promessa.
155 Far from the wicked is salvation; because thy statutes have they not sought for.
155 A salvação está longe dos ímpios, pois não procuram os teus decretos.
156 Thy mercies are abundant, O Lord; according to thy decrees do thou revive me.
156 Muitas, Senhor , são as tuas misericórdias; vivifica-me, segundo os teus juízos.
157 Many are my persecutors and my assailants: yet from thy testimonies do I not turn away.

158 I beheld the treacherous, and felt disgust; because they observed not thy saying.
