Leeser Old Testament (LEESER) vs BKJ
1 The wise among women buildeth her house; but the foolish pulleth it down with her own hands.
1 Toda mulher sábia edifica a sua casa, mas a tola a derruba com suas mãos.
2 In his uprightness walketh he that feareth the Lord; but perverse in his ways is he that despiseth him.
2 Aquele que anda na sua retidão teme ao SENHOR, mas aquele que é perverso em seus caminhos o despreza.
3 In the mouth of the foolish is a stick for his pride; but the lips of the wise will preserve them.
3 Na boca do tolo há uma vara para o seu orgulho, mas os lábios dos sábios os preservarão.
4 Where no oxen are, is the crib clean; but the abundance of harvests is only through the strength of the ox.
4 Onde não há bois, o estábulo é limpo, mas pela força do boi há muito crescimento.
5 A faithful witness will not lie; but a false witness constantly uttereth lies.
5 Uma testemunha fiel não mentirá, mas uma falsa testemunha proferirá mentiras.
6 A scorner seeketh wisdom, and there is none; but knowledge is easy to the man of understanding.
6 O escarnecedor busca sabedoria e não a encontra, mas o conhecimento é fácil para aquele que entende.
7 Go far away from a foolish man, else thou wilt never know the lips of knowledge.
7 Sai da presença de um homem tolo, quando não achares nele os lábios do conhecimento.
8 The wisdom of the prudent is to understand his way; but the folly of fools is deceit.
8 A sabedoria do prudente é entender o seu caminho, mas a loucura dos tolos é o engano.
9 The fool maketh a mockery of guilt; but among the upright there is good will.
9 Os tolos zombam do pecado, mas entre os justos há benevolência.
10 The heart knoweth its own bitterness; and with its joy can no stranger intermeddle.
10 O coração conhece a sua própria amargura, e um estranho não intervém na sua alegria.
11 The house of the wicked will be destroyed: but the tent of the upright will flourish.
11 A casa dos ímpios será derrubada, mas o tabernáculo dos retos florescerá.
12 There is many a way which seemeth even before a man; but its end are ways unto death.
12 Há um caminho que parece certo ao homem, mas o seu fim são os caminhos da morte.
13 Even in laughter the heart feeleth pain; and at its end joy is sorrow.
13 Até no riso o coração é desgostoso, e o fim da alegria é tristeza.
14 The backslider in heart will have enough of his own ways; and from him departeth the good men.
14 O apóstata de coração se preencherá de seus próprios caminhos, e o bom homem se satisfará de si mesmo.
15 The simple believeth every word; but the prudent man understandeth his steps.
15 O simples acredita em cada palavra, mas o homem prudente olha bem por onde vai.
16 A wise man is fearful, and departeth from evil; but the fool exciteth himself, and is confident.
16 O homem sábio teme, e aparta-se do mal, mas o tolo se enfurece, e é confiante.
17 He that is soon angry committeth folly; and a man of wicked devices is hated.
17 Aquele que logo fica irado trata tolamente; e o homem de perversas imaginações é odiado
18 The simple inherit folly; but the prudent crown themselves with knowledge.
18 Os simples herdam a loucura, mas os prudentes são coroados com o conhecimento.
19 The bad sink down before the good; and the wicked are at the gates of the righteous.
19 Os maus se curvam diante dos bons, e os perversos aos portões dos justos.
20 Even to his own neighbor is the poor man hateful; but the friends of the rich are many.
20 O pobre é odiado até pelo seu próprio vizinho, mas o rico tem muitos amigos.
21 He that despiseth his neighbor is a sinner; but he that is gracious to the poorhappiness attend him!
21 Aquele que despreza o seu vizinho peca, mas aquele que tem misericórdia do pobre, feliz ele é.
22 Behold, those who contrive evil are in error; but kindness and truth attend on those who contrive what is good.
22 Não erram os que maquinam o mal? Mas a misericórdia e a verdade serão para aqueles que maquinam o bem.
23 In all painful labor there is profit; but mere words of the lips lead only to want.
23 Em todo trabalho há lucro, mas o falar dos lábios tende somente à pobreza.
24 The crown of the wise is their riches; but the folly of fools is only folly.
24 A coroa dos sábios é a sua riqueza, mas a tolice dos tolos é loucura.
25 A deliverer of souls is the true witness; but a witness of deceit uttereth lies.
25 Uma testemunha verdadeira livra almas, mas uma testemunha enganosa fala mentiras.
26 In the fear of the Lord is the strong confidence of man, and unto his children will it be a place of shelter.
26 No temor do SENHOR há forte confiança, e seus filhos terão um lugar de refúgio.
27 The fear of the Lord is the source of life, teaching to avoid the snares of death.
27 O temor do SENHOR é fonte de vida, para desviar dos laços da morte.
28 In the multitude of people is the kings glory; but in the want of a population is the downfall of the prince.
28 Na multidão do povo está a honra do rei, mas na falta de povo está a destruição do príncipe.
29 He that is slow to anger is of great understanding; but he that is hasty of spirit holdeth up to view his folly.
29 Aquele que é tardio em irar-se é grande em entendimento, mas aquele que é de espírito impaciente, exalta a loucura.
30 A sound heart is the life of the body; but jealousy is the rottenness of the bones.
30 O coração sadio é a vida da carne, mas a inveja é a podridão dos ossos.
31 He that oppresseth the poor blasphemeth his Maker; but he that is gracious to the needy honoreth him.
31 Aquele que oprime o pobre afronta o seu Criador, mas aquele que o honra tem misericórdia dos pobres.
32 Through his own evil is the wicked thrust down; but even in his death doth the righteous have confidence.
32 Os perversos são desviados em sua maldade, mas o justo tem esperança em sua morte.
33 In the heart of the man of understanding resteth wisdom: but the little which is in the bosom of fools is made known.
33 A sabedoria repousa no coração daquele que tem entendimento, mas aquele que está no meio dos tolos se faz conhecido.
34 Righteousness exalteth a people; but the disgrace of nations is sin.
34 A justiça exalta uma nação; mas o pecado é um opróbrio para qualquer povo.
35 The kings favor is bestowed on an intelligent servant; but his wrath is against him that deserveth shame.
35 O favor do rei é direcionado ao servo sábio, mas sua ira é contra aquele que causa vergonha.
