10 And Cush begat Nimrod: this one began to be a mighty man upon the earth.

11 And Mizrayim begat the Ludim, and there the ‘Anamim, and the Lehabim, and the Naphtuchim,

12 And the Pathrussim, and the Cassluchim, of whom came the Philistines, and the Caphthorim.

13 And Canaan begat Zidon, his first–born, and Heth.

14 And the Jebusite, and the Emorite, and the Girgashite,

15 And the Hivite, and the Arkite, and the Sinite,
15 os heveus, os arqueus, os sineus,
16 And the Arvadite, and the Zemarite, and the Chamathite.

17 The sons of Shem: ‘Elam, and Asshur, and Arpachshad, and Lud, and Aram, and ‘Uz, and Chul, and Gether, and Meshech.
17 Os filhos de Sem foram: Elão, Assur, Arfaxade, Lude, Arã, Uz, Hul, Geter e Meseque.
18 And Arpachshad begat Shelach, and Shelach begat ‘Eber.
18 Arfaxade gerou Selá, e Selá gerou Héber.
19 And unto ‘Eber were born two sons: the name of the one was Peleg; because in his days the earth was divided; and his brother’s name was Joktan.
19 A Héber nasceram dois filhos: o nome de um foi Pelegue, porque em seus dias se repartiu a terra; e o nome de seu irmão foi Joctã.
20 And Joktan begat Almodad, and Sheleph, and Chazarmaveth, and Jerach,
20 Joctã gerou Almodá, Salefe, Hazar-Mavé, Jerá,
21 And Hadoram, and Uzal, and Diklah,
21 Hadorão, Uzal, Dicla,
22 And ‘Ebal and Abimael, and Sheba,
22 Ebal, Abimael, Sabá,
23 And Ophir, and Chavilah, and Jobab. All these were the sons of Joktan.
23 Ofir, Havilá e Jobabe. Todos estes foram filhos de Joctã.
24 Shem, Arpachshad, Shelach,

25 ‘Eber, Peleg, Re’u,
25 Héber, Pelegue, Reú,

27 Abram, the same is Abraham.
27 e Abrão, que é Abraão.
28 The sons of Abraham: Isaac, and Ishma’el.
28 Os filhos de Abraão foram: Isaque e Ismael.
29 These are their generations: The first–born of Ishma’el, Nebayoth, then Kedar, and Adbeel, and Mibsam,
29 São estas as suas gerações: o primogênito de Ismael foi Nebaiote; depois Quedar, Adbeel, Mibsão,
30 Mishma’, and Dumah, Massa, Chadad, and Thema,

31 Jetur, Naphish, and Kedemah. These are the sons of Ishma’el.

32 And the sons of Keturah, the concubine of Abraham: she bore Zimran, and Jokshan, and Medan, and Midian, and Yishbak, and Shuach. And the sons Jokshan: Sheba, and Dedan.
32 Quanto aos filhos de Quetura, concubina de Abraão, esta deu à luz Zinrã, Jocsã, Medã, Midiã, Isbaque e Sua. Os filhos de Jocsã foram: Sabá e Dedã.
33 And the sons of Midian: ‘Ephah, and ‘Epher, and Chanoch, and Abida’, and Elda’ah. All these are the sons of Keturah.
33 Os filhos de Midiã foram: Efá, Éfer, Enoque, Abida e Elda. Todos estes foram filhos de Quetura.
34 And Abraham begat Isaac. The sons of Isaac: Esau and Israel.
34 Abraão, pois, gerou Isaque. Os filhos de Isaque foram: Esaú e Israel.
35 The sons of Esau: Eliphaz, Re’uel, and Ye’ush, and Ya’lam, and Korach.
35 Os filhos de Esaú foram: Elifaz, Reuel, Jeús, Jalão e Coré.
36 The sons of Eliphaz: Theman, and Omar, Zephi, and Ga’tam, Kenas, and Thimna’, and ‘Amalek.
36 Os filhos de Elifaz foram: Temã, Omar, Zefi, Gaetã, Quenaz, Timna e Amaleque.
37 The sons of Re’uel: Nachath, Zerach, Shammah, and Mizzah.
37 Os filhos de Reuel foram: Naate, Zerá, Samá e Mizá.
38 And the sons of Se’ir: Lotan, and Shobal, and Zib’on, and ‘Anah, and Dishon, and Ezer, and Dishan.
38 Os filhos de Seir foram: Lotã, Sobal, Zibeão, Aná, Diso, Eser e Disã.
39 And the sons of Lotan: Chori, and Homam: and the sister of Lotan: Thimna’.
39 Os filhos de Lotã foram: Hori e Homã; e a irmã de Lotã foi Timna.
40 The sons of Shobal: ‘Alyan, and Manachath, and ‘Ebal, Shephi, and Onam. And the sons of Zib’on: ‘Ayah, and ‘Anah.
40 Os filhos de Sobal foram Aliã, Manaate, Ebal, Sefô e Onã. Os filhos de Zibeão foram: Aías e Aná.
41 The sons of ‘Anah: Dishon. And the sons of Dishon: Chamran, and Eshban, and Yithran, and Cheran.
41 O filho de Aná foi Disom. Os filhos de Disom foram: Hanrão, Esbã, Itrã e Querã.
42 The sons of Ezer: Bilhan, and Za’avan, and Ja’akan. The sons of Dishan: ‘Uz, and Aran.
42 Os filhos de Eser foram: Bilã, Zaavã e Jaacã. Os filhos de Disã foram: Uz e Arã.
43 And these are the kings that reigned in the land of Edom before there reigned any king over the children of Israel: Bela’ the son of Be’or; and the name of his city was Dinhabah.
43 Estes são os reis que reinaram na terra de Edom, antes que houvesse rei sobre os filhos de Israel: Belá, filho de Beor. E o nome da sua cidade era Dinabá.
44 And Bela’ died, and there reigned in his stead Jobab the son of Zerach of Bozrah.
44 Belá morreu e, em seu lugar, reinou Jobabe, filho de Zera, de Bozra.
45 And Jobab died, and there reigned in his stead Chusham of the land of Theman.

46 And Chusham died and there reigned in his stead Hadad the son of Bedad, who smote Midian in the field of Moab; and the name of his city was ‘Avith.

47 And Hadad died, and there reigned in his stead Samlah of Massrekah.

48 And Samlah died, and there reigned in his stead Saul of Rechoboth by the river.

49 And Saul died, and there reigned in his stead Ba’al–chanan the son of ‘Achbor.
49 Saul morreu e, em seu lugar, reinou Baal-Hanã, filho de Acbor.
50 And Ba’al–chanan died, and there reigned in his stead Hadad; and the name of his city was Pa’i; and the name of his wife was Mehetabel, the daughter of Matred, the daughter of Me–zahab.
50 Baal-Hanã morreu e, em seu lugar, reinou Hadade. O nome de sua cidade era Paú, e o de sua mulher era Meetabel, filha de Matrede, filha de Me-Zaabe.
51 Hadad died also. And the dukes of Edom were: Thimna’, duke ‘Alvah, duke Jetheth,
51 Hadade morreu. Estes são os nomes dos chefes de Edom: Timna, Alva, Jetete,
52 Duke Aholibamah, duke Elah, duke Pinon,
52 Oolibama, Elá, Pinom,
53 Duke Kenas, duke Theman, duke Mibzar,
53 Quenaz, Temã, Mibzar,
54 Duke Magdiel, duke ‘Iram. These are the dukes of Edom.
54 Magdiel e Irão. Estes são os chefes de Edom.
