9 And the sons of Cush: Seba, and Chavilah, and Sabta, and Ra’mah, and Sabtecha. And the sons of Ra’mah: Sheba, and Dedan.
9 E os filhos de Cuxe eram Sebá, e Havilá, e Sabtá, e Raamá, e Sabtecá; e os filhos de Raamá eram Sabá e Dedã.
10 And Cush begat Nimrod: this one began to be a mighty man upon the earth.
10 E Cuxe gerou a Ninrode, que começou a ser poderoso na terra.
11 And Mizrayim begat the Ludim, and there the ‘Anamim, and the Lehabim, and the Naphtuchim,
11 E Mizraim gerou os ludeus, e os anameus, e os leabeus, e os naftueus,
12 And the Pathrussim, and the Cassluchim, of whom came the Philistines, and the Caphthorim.
12 e os patruseus, e os caslueus (dos quais procederam os filisteus), e os caftoreus.
13 And Canaan begat Zidon, his first–born, and Heth.
13 E Canaã gerou a Sidom, seu primogênito, e a Hete,
14 And the Jebusite, and the Emorite, and the Girgashite,
14 e os jebuseus, e os amorreus, e os girgaseus,
15 And the Hivite, and the Arkite, and the Sinite,
15 e os heveus, e os arqueus, e os sineus,
16 And the Arvadite, and the Zemarite, and the Chamathite.
16 e os arvadeus, e os zemareus, e os hamateus.
17 The sons of Shem: ‘Elam, and Asshur, and Arpachshad, and Lud, and Aram, and ‘Uz, and Chul, and Gether, and Meshech.
17 E foram os filhos de Sem: Elão, e Assur, e Arfaxade, e Lude, e Arã, e Uz, e Hul, e Geter, e Meseque.
18 And Arpachshad begat Shelach, and Shelach begat ‘Eber.
18 E Arfaxade gerou a Selá, e Selá gerou a Héber.
19 And unto ‘Eber were born two sons: the name of the one was Peleg; because in his days the earth was divided; and his brother’s name was Joktan.
19 E a Héber nasceram dois filhos: o nome de um foi Pelegue, porquanto nos seus dias se repartiu a terra; e o nome de seu irmão era Joctã.
20 And Joktan begat Almodad, and Sheleph, and Chazarmaveth, and Jerach,
20 E Joctã gerou a Almodá, e a Selefe, e a Hazar-Mavé, e a Jerá,
21 And Hadoram, and Uzal, and Diklah,
21 e a Hadorão, e a Uzal, e a Dicla,
22 And ‘Ebal and Abimael, and Sheba,
22 e a Ebal, e a Abimael, e a Sabá,
23 And Ophir, and Chavilah, and Jobab. All these were the sons of Joktan.
23 e a Ofir, e a Havilá, e a Jobabe; todos estes foram filhos de Joctã.
24 Shem, Arpachshad, Shelach,
24 Sem, Arfaxade, Selá,
25 ‘Eber, Peleg, Re’u,
25 Héber, Pelegue, Reú,
26 Serug, Nachor, Terach,
26 Serugue, Naor, Tera,
27 Abram, the same is Abraham.
27 Abrão, que é Abraão.
28 The sons of Abraham: Isaac, and Ishma’el.
28 Os filhos de Abraão foram Isaque e Ismael.
29 These are their generations: The first–born of Ishma’el, Nebayoth, then Kedar, and Adbeel, and Mibsam,
29 Estas são as suas gerações: o primogênito de Ismael foi Nebaiote, e Quedar, e Adbeel, e Mibsão,
30 Mishma’, and Dumah, Massa, Chadad, and Thema,
30 Misma, Dumá, Massá, Hadade, Temá,
31 Jetur, Naphish, and Kedemah. These are the sons of Ishma’el.
31 Jetur, Nafis e Quedemá; estes foram os filhos de Ismael.
32 And the sons of Keturah, the concubine of Abraham: she bore Zimran, and Jokshan, and Medan, and Midian, and Yishbak, and Shuach. And the sons Jokshan: Sheba, and Dedan.
32 Quanto aos filhos de Quetura, concubina de Abraão, esta deu à luz a Zinrã, e a Jocsã, e a Medã, e a Midiã, e a Isbaque, e a Sua; e os filhos de Jocsã foram Sabá e Dedã.
33 And the sons of Midian: ‘Ephah, and ‘Epher, and Chanoch, and Abida’, and Elda’ah. All these are the sons of Keturah.
33 E os filhos de Midiã: Efá, e Efer, e Enoque, e Abida, e Elda; todos estes foram filhos de Quetura.
34 And Abraham begat Isaac. The sons of Isaac: Esau and Israel.
34 Abraão, pois, gerou a Isaque; e foram os filhos de Isaque: Esaú e Israel.
35 The sons of Esau: Eliphaz, Re’uel, and Ye’ush, and Ya’lam, and Korach.
35 Os filhos de Esaú: Elifaz, e Reuel, e Jeús, e Jalão, e Corá.
36 The sons of Eliphaz: Theman, and Omar, Zephi, and Ga’tam, Kenas, and Thimna’, and ‘Amalek.
36 Os filhos de Elifaz: Temã, e Omar, e Zefi, e Gaetã, e Quenaz, e Timna, e Amaleque.
37 The sons of Re’uel: Nachath, Zerach, Shammah, and Mizzah.
37 Os filhos de Reuel: Naate, Zerá, Samá e Mizá.
38 And the sons of Se’ir: Lotan, and Shobal, and Zib’on, and ‘Anah, and Dishon, and Ezer, and Dishan.
38 E os filhos de Seir: Lotã, e Sobal, e Zibeão, e Aná, e Disom, e Eser, e Disã.
39 And the sons of Lotan: Chori, and Homam: and the sister of Lotan: Thimna’.
39 E os filhos de Lotã: Hori e Homã; e a irmã de Lotã foi Timna.
40 The sons of Shobal: ‘Alyan, and Manachath, and ‘Ebal, Shephi, and Onam. And the sons of Zib’on: ‘Ayah, and ‘Anah.
40 Os filhos de Sobal eram Aliã, e Manaate, e Ebal, Sefô, e Onã; e os filhos de Zibeão eram Aías e Aná.
41 The sons of ‘Anah: Dishon. And the sons of Dishon: Chamran, and Eshban, and Yithran, and Cheran.
41 O filho de Aná foi Disom; e os filhos de Disom foram Hanrão, e Esbã, e Itrã, e Querã.
42 The sons of Ezer: Bilhan, and Za’avan, and Ja’akan. The sons of Dishan: ‘Uz, and Aran.
42 Os filhos de Eser eram Bilã, e Zaavã, e Jaacã; os filhos de Disã eram Uz e Arã.
43 And these are the kings that reigned in the land of Edom before there reigned any king over the children of Israel: Bela’ the son of Be’or; and the name of his city was Dinhabah.
43 E estes são os reis que reinaram na terra de Edom, antes que reinasse rei sobre os filhos de Israel: Belá, filho de Beor; e era o nome da sua cidade Dinabá.
44 And Bela’ died, and there reigned in his stead Jobab the son of Zerach of Bozrah.
44 E morreu Belá, e reinou em seu lugar Jobabe, filho de Zerá, de Bozra.
45 And Jobab died, and there reigned in his stead Chusham of the land of Theman.
45 E morreu Jobabe, e reinou em seu lugar Husão, da terra dos temanitas.
46 And Chusham died and there reigned in his stead Hadad the son of Bedad, who smote Midian in the field of Moab; and the name of his city was ‘Avith.
46 E morreu Husão, e reinou em seu lugar Hadade, filho de Bedade; este feriu os midianitas no campo de Moabe; e era o nome da sua cidade Avite.
47 And Hadad died, and there reigned in his stead Samlah of Massrekah.
47 E morreu Hadade, e reinou em seu lugar Samlá, de Masreca.
48 And Samlah died, and there reigned in his stead Saul of Rechoboth by the river.
48 E morreu Samlá, e reinou em seu lugar Saul, de Reobote, junto ao rio Eufrates.
49 And Saul died, and there reigned in his stead Ba’al–chanan the son of ‘Achbor.
49 E morreu Saul, e reinou em seu lugar Baal-Hanã, filho de Acbor.
50 And Ba’al–chanan died, and there reigned in his stead Hadad; and the name of his city was Pa’i; and the name of his wife was Mehetabel, the daughter of Matred, the daughter of Me–zahab.
50 E, morrendo Baal-Hanã, Hadade reinou em seu lugar; e era o nome da sua cidade Paú; e o nome de sua mulher era Meetabel, filha de Matrede, a filha de Me-Zaabe.
51 Hadad died also. And the dukes of Edom were: Thimna’, duke ‘Alvah, duke Jetheth,
51 E, morrendo Hadade, foram príncipes em Edom o príncipe Timna, o príncipe Alva, o príncipe Jetete,
52 Duke Aholibamah, duke Elah, duke Pinon,
52 o príncipe Oolibama, o príncipe Elá, o príncipe Pinom,
53 Duke Kenas, duke Theman, duke Mibzar,
53 o príncipe Quenaz, o príncipe Temã, o príncipe Mibzar,
54 Duke Magdiel, duke ‘Iram. These are the dukes of Edom.
