1 And they brought in the ark of God, and set it in the midst of the tent that David had pitched for it; and they offered burnt–offerings and peace–offerings before God.
1 Introduziram, pois, a arca de Deus e a puseram no meio da tenda que lhe armara Davi; e trouxeram holocaustos e ofertas pacíficas perante Deus.
2 And when David had made an end of offering the burnt–offerings and the peace–offerings, he blessed the people in the name of the Lord.
2 Tendo Davi acabado de trazer os holocaustos e ofertas pacíficas, abençoou o povo em nome do Senhor .
3 And he dealt out to every one of Israel, both man and woman, to every one a loaf of bread, and a piece of flesh, and a flagon of wine.
3 E repartiu a todos em Israel, tanto os homens como as mulheres, a cada um, um bolo de pão, um bom pedaço de carne e passas.
4 And he placed before the ark of the Lord several of the Levites as ministers, and to chaunt hymns, and to give praise and thanks unto the Lord the God of Israel:
4 Designou dentre os levitas os que haviam de ministrar diante da arca do Senhor , e celebrar, e louvar, e exaltar o Senhor , Deus de Israel, a saber,
5 Assaph the chief, and next to him Zechariah; Je’iel, and Shemiramoth, and Jechiel, and Matthithyah, and Eliab, and Benayahu, and ‘Obed–edom; and Je’iel with psalteries and with harps; but Assaph played aloud with the cymbals.
5 Asafe, o chefe, Zacarias, o segundo, e depois Jeiel, Semiramote, Jeiel, Matitias, Eliabe, Benaia, Obede-Edom e Jeiel, com alaúdes e harpas; e Asafe fazia ressoar os címbalos.
6 And Benayahu and Jachaziel the priests were with the trumpets continually before the ark of the covenant of God.
6 Os sacerdotes Benaia e Jaaziel estavam continuamente com trombetas, perante a arca da Aliança de Deus.
7 On that day––then did David appoint for the first time to give thanks to the Lord through means of Assaph and his brethren.
7 Naquele dia, foi que Davi encarregou, pela primeira vez, a Asafe e a seus irmãos de celebrarem com hinos o Senhor .
8 O give thanks unto the Lord; call on his name; make known among the people his deeds.
8 Rendei graças ao Senhor , invocai o seu nome, fazei conhecidos, entre os povos, os seus feitos.
9 Sing unto him, sing praises unto him: speak of all his wonderful works.
9 Cantai-lhe, cantai-lhe salmos; narrai todas as suas maravilhas.
10 Glorify yourselves in his holy name: let the heart of those rejoice that seek the Lord.
10 Gloriai-vos no seu santo nome; alegre-se o coração dos que buscam o
11 Inquire after the Lord and his strength: seek his presence evermore.
11 Buscai o Senhor e o seu poder, buscai perpetuamente a sua presença.
12 Remember his wonderful works which he hath done, his tokens, and the decrees of his mouth;
12 Lembrai-vos das maravilhas que fez, dos seus prodígios e dos juízos dos seus lábios,
13 O ye seed of Israel his servant, ye children of Jacob, his elect.
13 vós, descendentes de Israel, seu servo, vós, filhos de Jacó, seus escolhidos.
14 He is the Lord our God: over all the earth are his decrees.
14 Ele é o Senhor , nosso Deus; os seus juízos permeiam toda a terra.
15 Remember ye for ever his covenant, the word which he hath commanded to the thousandth generation.
15 Lembra-se perpetuamente da sua aliança, da palavra que empenhou para mil gerações;
16 Which he covenanted with Abraham, and his oath unto Isaac;
16 da aliança que fez com Abraão e do juramento que fez a Isaque;
17 And which he established unto Jacob as a statute, unto Israel as an everlasting covenant;
17 o qual confirmou a Jacó por decreto e a Israel, por aliança perpétua,
18 Saying, Unto thee will I give the land of Canaan, as the portion of your inheritance;
18 dizendo: Dar-vos-ei a terra de Canaã como quinhão da vossa herança.
19 When ye were but few men in number; yea, very few, and strangers in it.
19 Então, eram eles em pequeno número, pouquíssimos e forasteiros nela;
20 And when they wandered from one nation to another, and from one kingdom to another people:
20 andavam de nação em nação, de um reino para um povo.
21 He suffered no man to oppress them; yea, he reproved kings for their sake.
21 A ninguém permitiu que os oprimisse; antes, por amor deles, repreendeu a reis,
22 Saying, "Touch not my anointed, and do my prophets no harm."––
22 dizendo: Não toqueis nos meus ungidos, nem maltrateis os meus profetas.
23 Sing unto the Lord all ye lands: announce from day to day his salvation.
23 Cantai ao Senhor , todas as terras; proclamai a sua salvação, dia após dia.
24 Relate among the nations his glory: among all the people his wonderful deeds.
24 Anunciai entre as nações a sua glória, entre todos os povos, as suas maravilhas,
25 For great is the Lord, and greatly praised; and he is to be feared above all gods.
25 porque grande é o Senhor e mui digno de ser louvado, temível mais do que todos os deuses.
26 For all the gods of the people are idols: but the Lord hath made the heavens.
26 Porque todos os deuses dos povos são ídolos; o
27 Majesty and honor are in his presence, strength and gladness are in his place.
27 Glória e majestade estão diante dele, força e formosura, no seu santuário.
28 Ascribe unto the Lord, O ye families of people, ascribe unto the Lord glory and strength.
28 Tributai ao Senhor , ó famílias dos povos, tributai ao
29 Ascribe unto the Lord the glory due unto his name; take up an offering, and come into his presence; bow down before the Lord in the beauty of holiness.
29 Tributai ao Senhor a glória devida ao seu nome; trazei oferendas e entrai nos seus átrios; adorai o
30 Tremble before him, all ye lands! Also the world standeth firmly, that it be not moved.
30 Tremei diante dele, todas as terras, pois ele firmou o mundo para que não se abale.
31 Let the heavens rejoice, and let the earth be glad; and let men say among the nations, The Lord reigneth.
31 Alegrem-se os céus, e a terra exulte; diga-se entre as nações: Reina o
32 Let the sea roar, with all that filleth it: let the fields rejoice, and all that is therein.
32 Ruja o mar e a sua plenitude; folgue o campo e tudo o que nele há.
33 Then shall the trees of the forest sing joyfully at the presence of the Lord; because he cometh to judge the earth.
33 Regozijem-se as árvores do bosque na presença do porque vem a julgar a terra.
34 O give thanks unto the Lord; for he is good; because unto everlasting endureth his kindness.
34 Rendei graças ao Senhor , porque ele é bom; porque a sua misericórdia dura para sempre.
35 And say ye, Save us, O God of our salvation, and gather us together, and deliver us from the nations, that we may give thanks to thy holy name, to glorify ourselves in thy praise.
35 E dizei: Salva-nos, ó Deus da nossa salvação, ajunta-nos e livra-nos das nações, para que rendamos graças ao teu santo nome e nos gloriemos no teu louvor.
36 Blessed be the Lord the God of Israel from everlasting even unto everlasting. And all the people said, Amen, and praise unto the Lord.
36 Bendito seja o Senhor , Deus de Israel, desde a eternidade até a eternidade. E todo o povo disse: Amém! E louvou ao
37 And he left there in charge before the ark of the covenant of the Lord Assaph and his brethren, to minister before the ark continually, at the work of every day on its day,
37 Então, Davi deixou ali diante da arca da Aliança do Senhor a Asafe e a seus irmãos, para ministrarem continuamente perante ela, segundo se ordenara para cada dia;
38 And ‘Obed–edom with their brethren, sixty and eight, and ‘Obed–edom the son of Jeduthun and Chossah to be gatekeepers;
38 também deixou a Obede-Edom com seus irmãos, em número de sessenta e oito; a Obede-Edom, filho de Jedutum, e a Hosa, para serem porteiros;
39 And Zadok the priest, and his brethren the priests, before the tabernacle of the Lord, in the high–place that was at Gib’on,
39 e deixou a Zadoque, o sacerdote, e aos sacerdotes, seus irmãos, diante do tabernáculo do Senhor , num lugar alto de Gibeão,
40 To offer burnt–offerings unto the Lord upon the altar of the burnt–offering continually at morning and at evening, and this in accordance with all that is written in the law of the Lord which he had commanded concerning Israel;
40 para oferecerem continuamente ao Senhor os holocaustos sobre o altar dos holocaustos, pela manhã e à tarde; e isto segundo tudo o que está escrito na Lei que o Senhor ordenara a Israel.
41 And with them Heman and Jeduthun, and the rest that were selected who were expressed by name, to give thanks to the Lord, because unto everlasting endureth his kindness;
41 E com eles deixou a Hemã, a Jedutum e os mais escolhidos, que foram nominalmente designados para louvarem o Senhor , porque a sua misericórdia dura para sempre.
42 And with them, with Heman and Jeduthun, the trumpets and cymbals to play aloud, and the musical instruments of God; and the sons of Jeduthun to be for the service at the gate.
42 Com eles, pois, estavam Hemã e Jedutum, que faziam ressoar trombetas, e címbalos, e instrumentos de música de Deus; os filhos de Jedutum eram porteiros.
43 And all the people went every man to his house; and David turned about to bless his house.
43 Então, se retirou todo o povo, cada um para sua casa; e tornou Davi, para abençoar a sua casa.
