1 For the Leader. A Psalm of David. O God of my praise, keep not silence;
1 Ó Deus do meu louvor, não te cales!
2 For the mouth of the wicked and the mouth of deceit have they opened against me; they have spoken unto me with a lying tongue.
2 Pois contra mim se abriram lábios maldosos e fraudulentos; com língua mentirosa falam contra mim.
3 They compassed me about also with words of hatred, and fought against me without a cause.
3 Cercam-me com palavras odiosas e me atacam sem motivo.
4 In return for my love they are my adversaries; but I am all prayer.
4 Em paga do meu amor, me hostilizam; eu, porém, oro.
5 And they have laid upon me evil for good, and hatred for my love:
5 Pagaram-me o bem com o mal; o amor, com ódio.
6 'Set Thou a wicked man over him; and let an adversary stand at his right hand.
6 Suscita contra ele um ímpio, e que à sua direita esteja um acusador.
7 When he is judged, let him go forth condemned; and let his prayer be turned into sin.
7 Quando o julgarem, que ele seja condenado; e que a oração dele seja tida como pecado.
8 Let his days be few; let another take his charge.
8 Sejam poucos os seus dias, e outro tome o seu encargo.
9 Let his children be fatherless, and his wife a widow.
9 Fiquem órfãos os seus filhos, e viúva, a sua esposa.
10 Let his children be vagabonds, and beg; and let them seek their bread out of their desolate places.
10 Andem errantes os seus filhos e mendiguem; e sejam expulsos das ruínas de suas casas.
11 Let the creditor distrain all that he hath; and let strangers make spoil of his labour.
11 Que um credor se aposse de tudo o que ele tem; que estranhos saqueiem o fruto do seu trabalho.
12 Let there be none to extend kindness unto him; neither let there be any to be gracious unto his fatherless children.
12 Ninguém tenha misericórdia dele, nem haja quem se compadeça dos seus filhos órfãos.
13 Let his posterity be cut off; in the generation following let their name be blotted out.
13 Desapareça a sua posteridade, e que o seu nome se extinga na geração seguinte.
14 Let the iniquity of his fathers be brought to remembrance unto the LORD; and let not the sin of his mother be blotted out.
14 Que a iniquidade de seus pais fique viva na memória do e não se apague o pecado de sua mãe.
15 Let them be before the LORD continually, that He may cut off the memory of them from the earth.
15 Permaneçam ante os olhos do para que faça desaparecer da terra a sua memória.
16 Because that he remembered not to do kindness, but persecuted the poor and needy man, and the broken in heart he was ready to slay.
16 Porque ele não se lembrou de usar de misericórdia, mas perseguiu o pobre e o necessitado, bem como o quebrantado de coração, para os entregar à morte.
17 Yea, he loved cursing, and it came unto him; and he delighted not in blessing, and it is far from him.
17 Amou a maldição: que ela o apanhe! Não quis a bênção: que ela se afaste dele.
18 He clothed himself also with cursing as with his raiment, and it is come into his inward parts like water, and like oil into his bones.
18 Vestiu-se de maldição como de uma túnica: que ela penetre, como água, no seu interior, e nos seus ossos, como azeite.
19 Let it be unto him as the garment which he putteth on, and for the girdle wherewith he is girded continually.'
19 Seja para ele como a roupa que o cobre e como o cinto com que sempre se cinge.
20 This would mine adversaries effect from the LORD, and they that speak evil against my soul.
20 Que esta seja, da parte do a recompensa dos que me acusam e dos que falam mal de mim.
21 But Thou, O GOD the Lord, deal with me for Thy name's sake; because Thy mercy is good, deliver Thou me.
21 Mas tu, Senhor Deus, age por mim, por amor do teu nome; livra-me, porque é boa a tua misericórdia.
22 For I am poor and needy, and my heart is wounded within me.
22 Porque sou pobre e necessitado e, dentro de mim, sinto ferido o coração.
23 I am gone like the shadow when it lengtheneth; I am shaken off as the locust.
23 Vou passando, como a sombra que declina; sou atirado para longe, como um gafanhoto.
24 My knees totter through fasting; and my flesh is lean, and hath no fatness.
24 De tanto jejuar, os meus joelhos vacilam, e o meu corpo definha de magreza.
25 I am become also a taunt unto them; when they see me, they shake their head.
25 Tornei-me para eles objeto de zombaria; quando me veem, balançam a cabeça.
26 Help me, O LORD my God; O save me according to Thy mercy;
26 Socorre-me, Senhor , meu Deus! Salva-me segundo a tua misericórdia.
27 That they may know that this is Thy hand; that Thou, LORD, hast done it.
27 Para que saibam que isso vem das tuas mãos; que tu,
28 Let them curse, but bless Thou; when they arise, they shall be put to shame, but Thy servant shall rejoice.
28 Amaldiçoem eles, mas tu, abençoa. Sejam envergonhados os que se levantam contra mim; alegre-se, porém, o teu servo.
29 Mine adversaries shall be clothed with confusion, and shall put on their own shame as a robe.
29 Cubram-se de vexame os meus adversários, e a sua própria vergonha os envolva como um manto.
30 I will give great thanks unto the LORD with my mouth; yea, I will praise Him among the multitude;
30 Muitas graças darei ao Senhor com os meus lábios; eu o louvarei no meio da multidão;
31 Because He standeth at the right hand of the needy, to save him from them that judge his soul.
31 porque ele se põe à direita do pobre, para o livrar daqueles que o condenam.
