¹ A Psalme or song for the Sabbath day. It is a good thing to praise the Lord, and to sing vnto thy Name, O most High,

¹ É bom dar graças ao S enhor e cantar louvores ao Altíssimo.

² To declare thy louing kindenesse in the morning, and thy trueth in the night,

² É bom proclamar de manhã o teu amor e, de noite, a tua fidelidade,

³ Vpon an instrument of tenne strings, and vpon the viole with the song vpon the harpe.

³ ao som de um instrumento de dez cordas, da harpa e da melodia da lira.

⁴ For thou, Lord, hast made mee glad by thy workes, and I wil reioyce in the workes of thine handes.

⁴ Tu me alegras, S enhor , com tudo que tens feito; canto de alegria por causa de tuas obras.

⁵ O Lord, how glorious are thy workes! and thy thoughtes are very deepe.

⁵ Quão grandes, S enhor , são os teus feitos e profundos os teus pensamentos!

⁶ An vnwise man knoweth it not, and a foole doeth not vnderstand this,

⁶ Só o ignorante não sabe, só o tolo não entende:

⁷ (When the wicked growe as the grasse, and all the workers of wickednesse doe flourish) that they shall be destroyed for euer.

⁷ embora os perversos brotem como a grama e floresçam os que praticam o mal, eles serão destruídos para sempre.

⁸ But thou, O Lord, art most High for euermore.

⁸ Mas tu, S enhor , serás eternamente exaltado!

⁹ For loe, thine enemies, O Lord: for loe, thine enemies shall perish: all the workers of iniquitie shall be destroyed.

⁹ Teus inimigos, S enhor , perecerão; todos que praticam o mal serão dispersados.

¹⁰ But thou shalt exalt mine horne, like the vnicornes, and I shalbe anoynted with fresh oyle.

¹⁰ Tu, porém, me tornaste forte como o boi selvagem e me ungiste com óleo da melhor qualidade.

¹¹ Mine eye also shall see my desire against mine enemies: and mine eares shall heare my wish against the wicked, that rise vp against me.

¹¹ Meus olhos viram a queda de meus inimigos, meus ouvidos ouviram a derrota de meus perversos adversários.

¹² The righteous shall flourish like a palme tree, and shall grow like a Cedar in Lebanon.

¹² Os justos, porém, florescerão como palmeiras e crescerão como os cedros do Líbano.

¹³ Such as bee planted in the house of the Lord, shall flourish in the courtes of our God.

¹³ Pois estão plantados na casa do S enhor ; florescerão nos pátios de nosso Deus.

¹⁴ They shall still bring foorth fruite in their age: they shall be fat and flourishing,

¹⁴ Mesmo na velhice produzirão frutos; continuarão verdejantes e cheios de vida.

¹⁵ To declare that the Lord my rocke is righteous, and that none iniquitie is in him.

¹⁵ Anunciarão: “O S enhor é justo! Ele é minha rocha; nele não há injustiça”.
