¹ A Psalme or song for the Sabbath day. It is a good thing to praise the Lord, and to sing vnto thy Name, O most High,

¹ Bom é render graças ao Senhor, e cantar louvores ao teu nome, ó Altíssimo,

² To declare thy louing kindenesse in the morning, and thy trueth in the night,

² anunciar de manhã a tua benignidade, e à noite a tua fidelidade,

³ Vpon an instrument of tenne strings, and vpon the viole with the song vpon the harpe.

³ sobre um instrumento de dez cordas, e sobre o saltério, ao som solene da harpa.

⁴ For thou, Lord, hast made mee glad by thy workes, and I wil reioyce in the workes of thine handes.

⁴ Pois me alegraste, Senhor, pelos teus feitos; exultarei nas obras das tuas mãos.

⁵ O Lord, how glorious are thy workes! and thy thoughtes are very deepe.

⁵ Quão grandes são, ó Senhor, as tuas obras! quão profundos são os teus pensamentos!

⁶ An vnwise man knoweth it not, and a foole doeth not vnderstand this,

⁶ O homem néscio não sabe, nem o insensato entende isto:

⁷ (When the wicked growe as the grasse, and all the workers of wickednesse doe flourish) that they shall be destroyed for euer.

⁷ quando os ímpios brotam como a erva, e florescem todos os que praticam a iniqüidade, é para serem destruídos para sempre.

⁸ But thou, O Lord, art most High for euermore.

⁸ Mas tu, Senhor, estás nas alturas para sempre.

⁹ For loe, thine enemies, O Lord: for loe, thine enemies shall perish: all the workers of iniquitie shall be destroyed.

⁹ Pois eis que os teus inimigos, Senhor, eis que os teus inimigos perecerão; serão dispersos todos os que praticam a iniqüidade.

¹⁰ But thou shalt exalt mine horne, like the vnicornes, and I shalbe anoynted with fresh oyle.

¹⁰ Mas tens exaltado o meu poder, como o do boi selvagem; fui ungido com óleo fresco.

¹¹ Mine eye also shall see my desire against mine enemies: and mine eares shall heare my wish against the wicked, that rise vp against me.

¹¹ Os meus olhos já viram o que é feito dos que me espreitam, e os meus ouvidos já ouviram o que sucedeu aos malfeitores que se levantam contra mim.

¹² The righteous shall flourish like a palme tree, and shall grow like a Cedar in Lebanon.

¹² Os justos florescerão como a palmeira, crescerão como o cedro no Líbano.

¹³ Such as bee planted in the house of the Lord, shall flourish in the courtes of our God.

¹³ Estão plantados na casa do Senhor, florescerão nos átrios do nosso Deus.

¹⁴ They shall still bring foorth fruite in their age: they shall be fat and flourishing,

¹⁴ Na velhice ainda darão frutos, serão viçosos e florescentes,

¹⁵ To declare that the Lord my rocke is righteous, and that none iniquitie is in him.

¹⁵ para proclamarem que o Senhor é reto. Ele é a minha rocha, e nele não há injustiça.
