1 A Psalme of Salomon. Give thy iudgements to the King, O God, and thy righteousnesse to the Kings sonne.
1 Concede ao rei, ó Deus, os teus juízos e a tua justiça, ao filho do rei.
2 Then shall he iudge thy people in righteousnesse, and thy poore with equitie.
2 Que ele julgue o teu povo com justiça e os teus aflitos, com retidão.
3 The mountaines and the hilles shall bring peace to the people by iustice.
3 Os montes trarão paz ao povo; também as colinas a trarão, com justiça.
4 He shall iudge the poore of the people: he shall saue the children of the needie, and shall subdue the oppressor.
4 Que o rei julgue os aflitos do povo, salve os filhos dos necessitados e esmague o opressor.
5 They shall feare thee as long as the sunne and moone endureth, from generatio to generation.
5 Ele permanecerá enquanto existir o sol e enquanto durar a lua, através das gerações.
6 He shall come downe like the rayne vpon the mowen grasse, and as the showres that water the earth.
6 Seja ele como chuva que desce sobre a campina ceifada, como aguaceiros que regam a terra.
7 In his dayes shall the righteous florish, and abundance of peace shalbe so long as the moone endureth.
7 Que em seus dias floresçam os justos, e haja abundância de paz até que cesse de haver lua.
8 His dominion shall be also from sea to sea, and from the Riuer vnto the endes of the land.
8 Domine ele de mar a mar e desde o rio até os confins da terra.
9 They that dwell in ye wildernes, shall kneele before him, and his enemies shall licke the dust.
9 Curvem-se diante dele os habitantes do deserto, e os seus inimigos lambam o pó.
10 The Kings of Tarshish and of the yles shall bring presents: the Kings of Sheba and Seba shall bring giftes.
10 Que os reis de Társis e das ilhas lhe paguem tributo; os reis de Sabá e de Sebá lhe ofereçam presentes.
11 Yea, all Kings shall worship him: all nations shall serue him.
11 E todos os reis se prostrem diante dele; todas as nações o sirvam.
12 For he shall deliuer the poore when he cryeth: the needie also, and him that hath no helper.
12 Porque ele livra os necessitados que pedem socorro, e também os aflitos e aqueles que não têm quem os ajude.
13 He shalbe mercifull to the poore and needie, and shall preserue the soules of the poore.
13 Ele se compadece dos fracos e dos necessitados e salva a alma dos que precisam de auxílio.
14 He shall redeeme their soules from deceite and violence, and deare shall their blood be in his sight.
14 Ele os redime da opressão e da violência, e precioso lhe é o sangue deles.
15 Yea, he shall liue, and vnto him shall they giue of the golde of Sheba: they shall also pray for him continually, and dayly blesse him.
15 Viva o rei! E que lhe deem ouro de Sabá! Que continuamente se faça por ele oração, e o bendigam todos os dias.
16 An handfull of corne shall be sowen in the earth, euen in the toppe of the mountaines, and the fruite thereof shall shake like the trees of Lebanon: and the children shall florish out of the citie like the grasse of the earth.
16 Haja na terra abundância de cereais, que ondulem até o alto dos montes. Sejam os seus frutos como os do Líbano, e das cidades floresçam os habitantes como a erva da terra.
17 His name shall be for euer: his name shall indure as long as the sunne: all nations shall blesse him, and be blessed in him.
17 Que o nome do rei permaneça para sempre, e que prospere enquanto o sol brilhar! Que todos sejam abençoados por meio dele, e que todas as nações lhe chamem bem-aventurado.
18 Blessed be the Lord God, euen the God of Israel, which onely doeth wonderous things.
18 Bendito seja o Senhor Deus, o Deus de Israel, o único que faz maravilhas!
19 And blessed be his glorious Name for euer: and let all the earth be filled with his glorie. So be it, euen so be it. HERE END THE prayers of Dauid, the sonne of Ishai.
19 Bendito para sempre o seu glorioso nome, e da sua glória se encha toda a terra. Amém e amém!
