1 Praise ye the Lord. Praise the Name of the Lord: ye seruants of the Lord, praise him.
1 Aleluia ! Louvem a Deus, o vocês que são seus
2 Ye that stande in the House of the Lord, and in the courtes of the House of our God,
2 vocês que estão na casa dele, no Templo do nosso Deus!
3 Praise ye the Lord: for the Lord is good: sing praises vnto his Name: for it is a comely thing.
3 Louvem o Senhor porque ele é bom; cantem louvores a ele porque é bondoso.
4 For the Lord hath chosen Iaakob to himselfe, and Israel for his chiefe treasure.
4 Pois o Senhor escolheu Jacó para ser dele, escolheu o povo de Israel para ser o seu tesouro.
5 For I know that the Lord is great, and that our Lord is aboue all gods.
5 Eu sei que o Senhor é grande; o nosso Deus está acima de todos os deuses.
6 Whatsoeuer pleased the Lord, that did hee in heauen and in earth, in the sea, and in all the depths.
6 O Senhor faz o que quer, tanto no céu como na terra, tanto nos mares como nos oceanos profundos.
7 He bringeth vp the cloudes from the ends of the earth, and maketh the lightnings with ye raine: he draweth foorth the winde out of his treasures.
7 Dos fins da terra, ele traz as nuvens, prepara os relâmpagos para as tempestades e faz com que o vento saia dos seus depósitos.
8 He smote the first borne of Egypt both of man and beast.
8 Foi ele quem no Egito matou todos os primeiros filhos, tanto dos egípcios como dos seus animais.
9 He hath sent tokens and wonders into the middes of thee, O Egypt, vpon Pharaoh, and vpon all his seruants.
9 Ali fez milagres e coisas maravilhosas para castigar o rei e todos os seus servidores.
10 He smote many nations, and slew mightie Kings:
10 O Senhor Deus destruiu muitas nações e matou reis poderosos.
11 As Sihon King of the Amorites, and Og King of Bashan, and all the kingdomes of Canaan:
11 Ele matou Seom, o rei dos amorreus, Ogue, rei de Basã, e todos os reis de Canaã.
12 And gaue their lande for an inheritance, euen an inheritance vnto Israel his people.
12 E a terra desses reis ele deu a Israel, o seu povo, para ser propriedade deles.
13 Thy Name, O Lord, endureth for euer: O Lord, thy remembrance is from generation to generation.
13 Ó Senhor , todos sempre saberão que tu és Deus; todas as lembrarão de ti.
14 For the Lord will iudge his people, and be pacified towardes his seruants.
14 O Senhor defenderá o povo de Israel; ele terá compaixão dos seus servos.
15 The idoles of the heathen are siluer and golde, euen the worke of mens handes.
15 Os deuses das outras nações são de prata e de ouro, são feitos por seres humanos.
16 They haue a mouth, and speake not: they haue eyes and see not.
16 Eles têm boca, mas não falam; têm olhos, mas não veem.
17 They haue eares and heare not, neither is there any breath in their mouth.
17 Têm ouvidos, mas não ouvem; e não podem respirar.
18 They that make them, are like vnto them: so are all that trust in them.
18 Que fiquem iguais a esses ídolos aqueles que os fazem e também os que confiam neles!
19 Praise the Lord, ye house of Israel: praise the Lord, ye house of Aaron.
19 Louve o Senhor Deus, povo de Israel! Sacerdotes de Deus, louvem o
20 Praise the Lord, ye house of Leui: ye that feare the Lord, praise the Lord.
20 Levitas , louvem o Senhor ! Todos os que o
21 Praised bee the Lord out of Zion, which dwelleth in Ierusalem. Praise ye the Lord.
21 Louvem o Senhor em Sião , em Jerusalém, onde ele mora. Aleluia!
