1 ALEPH. Blessed are those that are vpright in their way, and walke in the Lawe of the Lord.
1 Felizes são os que não podem ser acusados de nada, que vivem de acordo com a de Deus, o
2 Blessed are they that keepe his testimonies, and seeke him with their whole heart.
2 Felizes os que guardam os mandamentos de Deus e lhe obedecem de todo o coração!
3 Surely they woorke none iniquitie, but walke in his waies.
3 Felizes os que não praticam o mal, os que andam nos caminhos de Deus!
4 Thou hast commanded to keepe thy precepts diligently.
4 Tu, ó Deus, nos deste as tuas leis e mandaste que as cumpríssemos fielmente.
5 Oh that my waies were directed to keepe thy statutes!
5 Como desejo obedecer às tuas ordens e cumpri-las com fidelidade!
6 Then should I not be confounded, when I haue respect vnto all thy commandements.
6 Se eu der atenção a todos os teus mandamentos, não passarei vergonha.
7 I will praise thee with an vpright heart, when I shall learne the iudgements of thy righteousnesse.
7 Com um coração sincero eu te louvarei à medida que for aprendendo os teus justos ensinamentos.
8 I will keepe thy statutes: forsake mee not ouerlong.
8 Obedecerei às tuas leis ; peço-te que não me abandones nunca.
9 BETH. Wherewith shall a yong man redresse his waie? in taking heede thereto according to thy woorde.
9 Como pode um jovem conservar pura a sua vida? É só obedecer aos teus mandamentos.
10 With my whole heart haue I sought thee: let me not wander from thy commandements.
10 Eu procuro te servir de todo o coração; não deixes que eu me desvie dos teus mandamentos.
11 I haue hid thy promise in mine heart, that I might not sinne against thee.
11 Guardo a tua palavra no meu coração para não pecar contra ti.
12 Blessed art thou, O Lord: teache mee thy statutes.
12 Eu te louvo, ó Senhor Deus! Ensina-me as tuas
13 With my lippes haue I declared all the iudgements of thy mouth.
13 Costumo repetir em voz alta todas as ordens que tens dado.
14 I haue had as great delight in the way of thy testimonies, as in all riches.
14 Fico mais alegre em seguir os teus mandamentos do que em ser muito rico.
15 I will meditate in thy precepts, and consider thy waies.
15 Estudo as tuas leis e examino os teus ensinamentos.
16 I will delite in thy statutes, and I will not forget thy worde.
16 As tuas leis são o meu prazer; não esqueço a tua palavra.
17 GIMEL. Be beneficiall vnto thy seruant, that I may liue and keepe thy woorde.
17 Senhor, trata com bondade este teu para que eu possa continuar vivo e obedecer à tua palavra!
18 Open mine eies, that I may see the wonders of thy Lawe.
18 Abre os meus olhos para que eu possa ver as verdades maravilhosas da tua
19 I am a stranger vpon earth: hide not thy commandements from me.
19 Viverei poucos anos aqui na terra; não escondas de mim os teus mandamentos.
20 Mine heart breaketh for the desire to thy iudgements alway.
20 O meu coração sofre, ansioso, pois, em todos os momentos, quero conhecer a tua vontade.
21 Thou hast destroied the proud: cursed are they that doe erre from thy commandements.
21 Tu repreendes os orgulhosos; os que se desviam dos teus mandamentos são malditos.
22 Remoue from mee shame and contempt: for I haue kept thy testimonies.
22 Livra-me dos insultos e das zombarias deles, pois tenho obedecido aos teus ensinamentos.
23 Princes also did sit, and speake against me: but thy seruant did meditate in thy statutes.
23 Mesmo que as autoridades se reúnam e contra mim façam planos, eu, que sou teu servo, meditarei nas tuas leis.
24 Also thy testimonies are my delite, and my counsellers.
24 Gosto de pensar nos teus ensinamentos; eles são os meus conselheiros.
25 DALETH. My soule cleaueth to the dust: quicken me according to thy worde.
25 Estou derrotado e caído no chão; de acordo com a tua promessa, dá-me novas forças.
26 I haue declared my waies, and thou heardest me: teache me thy statutes.
26 Contei tudo o que tenho feito, e tu me respondeste; ensina-me os teus mandamentos.
27 Make me to vnderstand ye way of thy precepts, and I will meditate in thy wondrous workes.
27 Ajuda-me a compreender as tuas leis , e eu meditarei nos teus maravilhosos ensinamentos.
28 My soule melteth for heauinesse: raise mee vp according vnto thy worde.
28 É tanta a minha tristeza, que estou me acabando; dá-me forças, como prometeste.
29 Take from mee the way of lying, and graunt me graciously thy Lawe.
29 Não me deixes seguir o caminho errado; com a tua bondade, ensina-me a tua lei.
30 I haue chosen the way of trueth, and thy iudgements haue I laied before me.
30 Eu escolhi o caminho da fidelidade e tenho dado atenção às tuas ordens.
31 I haue cleaued to thy testimonies, O Lord: confound me not.
31 Ó Senhor Deus, tenho seguido os teus ensinamentos; não me deixes passar pela vergonha do fracasso.
32 I will runne the way of thy commandements, when thou shalt enlarge mine heart.
32 Eu me apresso em obedecer aos teus mandamentos porque assim tu me darás mais entendimento.
33 HE. Teach mee, O Lord, the way of thy statutes, and I will keepe it vnto the ende.
33 Ó Senhor Deus, ensina-me a entender as tuas e eu sempre as seguirei.
34 Giue mee vnderstanding, and I will keepe thy Law: yea, I wil keepe it with my whole heart.
34 Dá-me entendimento para que eu possa guardar a tua lei e cumpri-la de todo o coração.
35 Direct mee in the path of thy commandements: for therein is my delite.
35 Guia-me pelo caminho dos teus mandamentos, pois neles encontro a felicidade.
36 Incline mine heart vnto thy testimonies, and not to couetousnesse.
36 Faze com que eu queira obedecer aos teus ensinamentos, em vez de querer ajuntar riquezas.
37 Turne away mine eies from regarding vanitie, and quicken me in thy way.
37 Não me deixes ficar pensando em coisas sem valor; sê bondoso para comigo, como prometeste.
38 Stablish thy promise to thy seruaunt, because he feareth thee.
38 Eu sou teu servo ; cumpre a promessa que me fizeste, a promessa que fazes aos que te
39 Take away my rebuke that I feare: for thy iudgements are good.
39 Livra-me dos insultos, que me causam medo; os teus julgamentos são bons.
40 Beholde, I desire thy commandements: quicken me in thy righteousnesse,
40 Eu quero muito obedecer às tuas leis. Conserva-me vivo, pois tu és justo.
41 VAV. And let thy louing kindnesse come vnto me, O Lord, and thy saluation according to thy promise.
41 Ó Senhor Deus, mostra-me o quanto me amas e livra-me dos meus inimigos, de acordo com a tua promessa!
42 So shall I make answere vnto my blasphemers: for I trust in thy woorde.
42 Então saberei responder aos que me insultam, pois eu confio na tua palavra.
43 And take not the woorde of trueth vtterly out of my mouth: for I waite for thy iudgements.
43 Ajuda-me a falar sempre a verdade, pois a minha esperança está nos teus julgamentos.
44 So shall I alway keepe thy Lawe for euer and euer.
44 Todos os dias obedecerei à tua lei ; eu sempre a cumprirei.
45 And I will walke at libertie: for I seeke thy precepts.
45 Viverei à vontade, livre de perigos, porque tenho procurado seguir os teus ensinamentos.
46 I will speake also of thy testimonies before Kings, and will not be ashamed.
46 Anunciarei aos reis as tuas ordens e não ficarei envergonhado.
47 And my delite shalbe in thy commandements, which I haue loued.
47 Os teus mandamentos me trazem alegria, pois eu os amo.
48 Mine handes also will I lift vp vnto thy commandements, which I haue loued, and I will meditate in thy statutes.
48 Respeito e amo os teus mandamentos e medito nas tuas leis.
49 ZAIN. Remember the promise made to thy seruant, wherein thou hast caused me to trust.
49 Lembra da promessa que fizeste a mim, este teu a promessa que tem sido a minha esperança.
50 It is my comfort in my trouble: for thy promise hath quickened me.
50 No sofrimento, eu fui consolado porque a tua promessa me deu vida.
51 The proude haue had me exceedingly in derision: yet haue I not declined from thy Lawe.
51 Os orgulhosos estão sempre zombando de mim, mas eu não tenho me afastado da tua
52 I remembred thy iudgements of olde, O Lord, and haue bene comforted.
52 Eu lembro dos teus julgamentos do passado, e eles me confortam, ó
53 Feare is come vpon mee for the wicked, that forsake thy Lawe.

54 Thy statutes haue beene my songes in the house of my pilgrimage.

56 This I had because I kept thy precepts.

57 CHETH. O Lord, that art my portion, I haue determined to keepe thy wordes.

58 I made my supplication in thy presence with my whole heart: be mercifull vnto me according to thy promise.
58 De todo o coração, eu te peço: tem misericórdia de mim, como prometeste.
59 I haue considered my waies, and turned my feete into thy testimonies.
59 Tenho pensado na minha maneira de agir e prometo seguir os teus ensinamentos.
60 I made haste and delaied not to keepe thy commandements.
60 Com toda a pressa e sem demora, procuro obedecer aos teus mandamentos.
61 The bandes of the wicked haue robbed me: but I haue not forgotten thy Lawe.
61 Os maus armaram uma armadilha para me pegar, mas eu não esqueço a tua lei.
62 At midnight will I rise to giue thanks vnto thee, because of thy righteous iudgements.
62 Por causa dos teus ensinamentos justos, eu me levanto no meio da noite para te louvar.
63 I am companion of all them that feare thee, and keepe thy precepts.
63 Eu sou amigo de todos os que te temem , de todos os que obedecem às tuas leis.
64 The earth, O Lord, is full of thy mercie: teache me thy statutes.
64 Ó Senhor Deus, a terra está cheia do teu amor; ensina-me os teus mandamentos.
65 TETH. O Lord, thou hast delt graciously with thy seruant according vnto thy woorde.
65 Ó Senhor Deus, tu cumpriste a tua promessa e tens sido bom para mim, este teu
66 Teach me good iudgement and knowledge: for I haue beleeued thy commandements.
66 Dá-me sabedoria e conhecimento, pois confio nos teus mandamentos.
67 Before I was afflicted, I went astray: but nowe I keepe thy woorde.
67 Antes de me castigares, eu andava errado, mas agora obedeço à tua palavra.
68 Thou art good and gracious: teach me thy statutes.
68 Ó Deus, tu és bom e fazes o bem; ensina-me os teus mandamentos.
69 The proud haue imagined a lie against me: but I wil keepe thy precepts with my whole heart.
69 Os orgulhosos dizem mentiras contra mim, mas eu, de todo o coração, obedeço aos teus mandamentos.
70 Their heart is fatte as grease: but my delite is in thy Lawe.
70 Esses homens não querem aprender a tua porém eu tenho prazer nela.
71 It is good for me that I haue beene afflicted, that I may learne thy statutes.
71 Foi bom que eu tivesse sido castigado, pois assim aprendi os teus mandamentos.
72 The Lawe of thy mouth is better vnto me, then thousands of golde and siluer.
72 A tua lei vale muito mais para mim do que toda a riqueza do mundo.
73 IOD. Thine hands haue made me and fashioned me: giue mee vnderstanding therefore, that I may learne thy commandements.
73 Ó Deus, as tuas mãos me criaram e me formaram; dá-me entendimento para que eu possa aprender as tuas
74 So they that feare thee, seeing mee shall reioyce, because I haue trusted in thy worde.
74 Aqueles que te temem se alegram quando me veem porque a minha esperança está na tua palavra.
75 I knowe, O Lord, that thy iudgements are right, and that thou hast afflicted me iustly.
75 Ó Senhor Deus, eu sei que os teus julgamentos são justos e que me castigas porque és fiel.
76 I pray thee that thy mercie may comfort me according to thy promise vnto thy seruant.
76 Peço que o teu amor me console, como prometeste a mim, este teu
77 Let thy tender mercies come vnto me, that I may liue: for thy Lawe is my delite.
77 Tem compaixão de mim, e eu continuarei vivo, pois gosto de pensar na tua lei.
78 Let the proude be ashamed: for they haue dealt wickedly and falsely with me: but I meditate in thy precepts.
78 Que os orgulhosos fiquem envergonhados, pois me acusam com mentiras! Mas eu meditarei nos teus ensinamentos.
79 Let such as feare thee turne vnto me, and they that knowe thy testimonies.
79 Que venham para o meu lado os que te temem, os que conhecem os teus mandamentos!
80 Let mine heart bee vpright in thy statutes, that I be not ashamed.
80 Que eu obedeça completamente aos teus mandamentos e não sofra a vergonha do fracasso!
81 CAPH. My soule fainteth for thy saluation: yet I waite for thy worde.
81 Ó Deus, estou aflito, esperando que tu me livres dos meus inimigos; eu ponho a minha esperança na tua palavra.
82 Mine eyes faile for thy promise, saying, when wilt thou comfort me?
82 Os meus olhos estão cansados de tanto olhar, esperando o que prometeste, e eu pergunto: “Quando vens me consolar?”
83 For I am like a bottell in the smoke: yet doe I not forget thy statutes.
83 Sou tão inútil como um odre cheio de furos, porém não esqueço os teus mandamentos.
84 Howe many are the dayes of thy seruant? When wilt thou execute iudgement on them that persecute me?
84 Até quando vai este teu servo ter de esperar? Quando vais castigar os que me perseguem?
85 The proude haue digged pittes for mee, which is not after thy Lawe.
85 Os orgulhosos, que não obedecem à tua cavaram covas para me pegar.
86 All thy commandements are true: they persecute me falsely: helpe me.
86 Todos os teus mandamentos merecem confiança. Ajuda-me, pois sou perseguido por mentirosos.
87 They had almost consumed me vpon the earth: but I forsooke not thy precepts.
87 Eles quase conseguiram me matar, porém eu não abandono os teus ensinamentos.
88 Quicken me according to thy louing kindnes: so shall I keepe the testimony of thy mouth.
88 Por causa do teu amor, livra-me da morte para que eu possa obedecer aos teus mandamentos.
89 LAMED. O Lord, thy worde endureth for euer in heauen.
89 Ó Senhor Deus, a tua palavra dura para sempre; ela é firme como o céu.
90 Thy trueth is from generation to generation: thou hast layed the foundation of the earth, and it abideth.
90 A tua fidelidade permanece em todas as tu colocaste a terra no seu lugar, e ela fica firme.
91 They continue euen to this day by thine ordinances: for all are thy seruants.
91 De acordo com as tuas ordens todas as coisas permanecem até hoje, pois tudo te obedece.
92 Except thy Lawe had bene my delite, I should now haue perished in mine affliction.
92 Se a tua lei não tivesse sido o motivo da minha alegria, eu já teria morrido de tanto sofrer.
93 I wil neuer forget thy precepts: for by them thou hast quickened me.
93 Nunca esquecerei os teus ensinamentos, pois é por meio deles que tens conservado a minha vida.
94 I am thine, saue me: for I haue sought thy precepts.
94 Livra-me dos meus inimigos, pois sou teu e tenho procurado obedecer aos teus mandamentos.
95 The wicked haue waited for me to destroy me: but I will consider thy testimonies.
95 Os maus estão esperando a hora de me matarem, mas eu meditarei nas tuas leis.
96 I haue seene an ende of all perfection: but thy commandement is exceeding large.
96 Tenho visto que todas as coisas têm o seu limite, mas o teu mandamento se aplica a tudo.
97 MEM. Oh howe loue I thy Lawe! it is my meditation continually.

98 By thy commandements thou hast made mee wiser then mine enemies: for they are euer with mee.

99 I haue had more vnderstading then all my teachers: for thy testimonies are my meditation.

100 I vnderstoode more then the ancient, because I kept thy precepts.
100 Tenho mais sabedoria do que os velhos porque obedeço aos teus mandamentos.
101 I haue refrained my feete from euery euil way, that I might keepe thy word.
101 Não tenho andado pelos caminhos da maldade, pois quero obedecer à tua palavra.
102 I haue not declined from thy iudgements: for thou didest teach me.
102 Não tenho deixado de cumprir as tuas ordens porque és tu que me ensinas.
103 Howe sweete are thy promises vnto my mouth! yea, more then hony vnto my mouth.
103 Como são doces as tuas palavras! São mais doces do que o mel.
104 By thy precepts I haue gotten vnderstanding: therefore I hate all the wayes of falshoode.
104 Por meio das tuas leis , consigo a sabedoria e assim detesto todos os caminhos da mentira.
105 NUN. Thy worde is a lanterne vnto my feete, and a light vnto my path.
105 A tua palavra é lâmpada para guiar os meus passos, é luz que ilumina o meu caminho.
106 I haue sworne and will performe it, that I will keepe thy righteous iudgements.
106 Cumprirei o juramento que fiz de seguir os teus justos ensinamentos.
107 I am very sore afflicted: O Lord, quicken me according to thy word.
107 Ó Senhor Deus, os meus sofrimentos são terríveis; conserva-me vivo, como prometeste.
108 O Lord, I beseeche thee accept the free offerings of my mouth, and teach mee thy iudgements.
108 Ó Senhor , aceita a minha oração de agradecimento e ensina-me os teus mandamentos!
109 My soule is continually in mine hande: yet doe I not forget thy Lawe.
109 A minha vida está sempre em perigo; no entanto não esqueço a tua
110 The wicked haue layed a snare for mee: but I swarued not from thy precepts.
110 Os maus armaram uma armadilha para me pegar, mas eu não desobedeci aos teus mandamentos.
111 Thy testimonies haue I taken as an heritage for euer: for they are the ioy of mine heart.

112 I haue applied mine heart to fulfill thy statutes alway, euen vnto the ende.

114 Thou art my refuge and shield, and I trust in thy worde.

115 Away from mee, yee wicked: for I will keepe the commandements of my God.
115 Afastem-se de mim, vocês que praticam o mal, e eu obedecerei aos mandamentos do meu Deus!
116 Stablish me according to thy promise, that I may liue, and disappoint me not of mine hope.
116 Dá-me forças, como prometeste, e eu continuarei vivo; não permitas que eu fique desiludido com a minha esperança.
117 Stay thou mee, and I shall be safe, and I will delite continually in thy statutes.
117 Dá-me apoio, e estarei em segurança; e sempre darei atenção às tuas ordens.
118 Thou hast troden downe all them that depart from thy statutes: for their deceit is vaine.
118 Tu rejeitas todos os que desobedecem às tuas leis, pois os seus planos enganosos não valem nada.
119 Thou hast taken away all ye wicked of the earth like drosse: therefore I loue thy testimonies.
119 Tu tratas todos os maus como lixo, e por isso eu amo os teus ensinamentos.
120 My flesh trembleth for feare of thee, and I am afraide of thy iudgements.
120 Eu tremo diante de ti e tenho medo dos teus julgamentos.
121 AIN. I haue executed iudgement and iustice: leaue me not to mine oppressours.
121 Tenho feito o que é certo e bom; não me entregues nas mãos dos meus inimigos.
122 Answere for thy seruant in that, which is good, and let not the proude oppresse me.
122 Promete que ajudarás a mim, este teu Não deixes que os orgulhosos me façam sofrer.
123 Mine eyes haue failed in waiting for thy saluation, and for thy iust promise.
123 Os meus olhos estão cansados de tanto olhar, esperando que me salves e assim cumpras a tua promessa.
124 Deale with thy seruant according to thy mercie, and teache me thy statutes.
124 Trata este teu servo de acordo com o teu amor e ensina-me os teus mandamentos.
125 I am thy seruant: graunt mee therefore vnderstanding, that I may knowe thy testimonies.
125 Sou teu servo; por isso, dá-me sabedoria para que eu possa conhecer os teus ensinamentos.
126 It is time for thee Lord to worke: for they haue destroyed thy Lawe.
126 Ó Senhor Deus, já é tempo de agires, pois a tua
127 Therefore loue I thy commandements aboue golde, yea, aboue most fine golde.
127 Eu amo os teus mandamentos mais do que o ouro, mais do que o ouro puro.
128 Therefore I esteeme all thy precepts most iust, and hate all false wayes.
128 Por isso, sigo os teus ensinamentos e detesto todos os caminhos da mentira.
129 PE. Thy testimonies are wonderfull: therefore doeth my soule keepe them.
129 Os teus mandamentos são maravilhosos, e por isso os cumpro de todo o coração.
130 The entrance into thy wordes sheweth light, and giueth vnderstanding to the simple.

133 Direct my steppes in thy worde, and let none iniquitie haue dominion ouer me.
133 Conserva-me firme, como prometeste; não deixes que eu seja dominado pelo mal.
134 Deliuer mee from the oppression of men, and I will keepe thy precepts.
134 Livra-me daqueles que me maltratam para que eu possa obedecer aos teus mandamentos.
135 Shew the light of thy countenance vpon thy seruant, and teache me thy statutes.
135 Olha com bondade para mim, teu servo, e ensina-me as tuas
136 Mine eyes gush out with riuers of water, because they keepe not thy Lawe.
136 As minhas lágrimas correm como um rio porque os outros não obedecem à tua lei.
137 TSADDI. Righteous art thou, O Lord, and iust are thy iudgements.
137 Tu és justo, ó Senhor Deus; as tuas
138 Thou hast commanded iustice by thy testimonies and trueth especially.

139 My zeale hath euen consumed mee, because mine enemies haue forgotten thy wordes.

140 Thy word is prooued most pure, and thy seruant loueth it.

141 I am small and despised: yet do I not forget thy precepts.

142 Thy righteousnesse is an euerlasting righteousnes, and thy Lawe is trueth.
142 A tua justiça dura para sempre, e a tua lei é sempre verdadeira.
143 Trouble and anguish are come vpon me: yet are thy commandements my delite.
143 Os sofrimentos e a ansiedade me atingem, mas os teus mandamentos me alegram.
144 The righteousnes of thy testimonies is euerlasting: graunt me vnderstanding, and I shall liue.
144 Os teus ensinamentos são sempre certos; dá-me entendimento, e continuarei vivo.
145 KOPH. I haue cried with my whole heart: heare me, O Lord, and I will keepe thy statutes.

147 I preuented the morning light, and cried: for I waited on thy word.

148 Mine eyes preuent the night watches to meditate in thy word.

149 Heare my voyce according to thy louing kindenesse: O Lord, quicken me according to thy iudgement.
149 Ouve-me, ó Senhor Deus, por causa do teu amor! Conserva-me vivo, de acordo com a tua justa vontade.
150 They drawe neere, that follow after malice, and are farre from thy Lawe.

151 Thou art neere, O Lord: for all thy commandements are true.
151 Mas tu, ó Senhor , estás perto de mim, e todos os teus mandamentos são verdadeiros.
152 I haue knowen long since by thy testimonies, that thou hast established them for euer.
152 Faz muito tempo que conheço os teus ensinamentos; tu os deste a fim de durarem para sempre.

161 SCHIN. Princes haue persecuted mee without cause, but mine heart stood in awe of thy wordes.

162 I reioyce at thy worde, as one that findeth a great spoyle.

170 Que a minha oração chegue diante de ti! Conforme a tua promessa, livra-me dos meus inimigos!
171 My lippes shall speake praise, when thou hast taught me thy statutes.
171 Sempre te louvarei, pois me ensinas as tuas
172 My tongue shall intreate of thy word: for all thy commandements are righteous.
172 Cantarei a respeito da tua lei, pois os teus mandamentos são justos.
173 Let thine hand helpe me: for I haue chosen thy precepts.
173 Ó Deus, que a tua mão esteja sempre pronta para me ajudar, pois sigo os teus mandamentos!
174 I haue longed for thy saluation, O Lord, and thy Lawe is my delite.
174 Como desejo que me ajudes, ó Na tua lei, encontro a felicidade.
175 Let my soule liue, and it shall praise thee, and thy iudgements shall helpe me.
175 Conserva-me vivo para que eu possa te louvar. Que os teus ensinamentos sirvam de ajuda para mim!
176 I haue gone astraye like a lost sheepe: seeke thy seruant, for I doe not forget thy commandements.
176 Como ovelha perdida, tenho andado sem rumo. Ó este teu pois não esqueço os teus mandamentos!
