1 Then answered Bildad the Shuhite, and said,
1 Então Bildade, da região de Sua, em resposta disse:
2 When will yee make an ende of your words? cause vs to vnderstande, and then wee will speake.
2 “Jó, por que você não para de falar? Cale-se e preste atenção, e então poderemos conversar.
3 Wherefore are wee counted as beastes, and are vile in your sight?
3 Por que você pensa que não temos juízo, que somos como os animais?
4 Thou art as one that teareth his soule in his anger. Shall the earth bee forsaken for thy sake? or the rocke remoued out of his place?
4 Com a sua raiva, você só está se ferindo. Será que, por você estar zangado, o mundo vai virar um deserto? Será que, por sua causa, as montanhas vão mudar de lugar?
5 Yea, the light of the wicked shalbe quenched, and the sparke of his fire shall not shine.
5 “A vida do perverso se acabará como a luz que se apaga, como as chamas do fogo que deixa de queimar.
6 The light shalbe darke in his dwelling, and his candle shalbe put out with him.
6 A lamparina da sua casa não brilhará mais; em vez de luz, haverá escuridão.
7 The steps of his strength shalbe restrained, and his owne counsell shall cast him downe.
7 O perverso andava com passos firmes, mas agora está tropeçando; os seus próprios planos o fazem cair.
8 For hee is taken in the net by his feete, and he walketh vpon the snares.
8 Ele pisa uma rede, e os seus pés ficam presos.
9 The grenne shall take him by the heele, and the theefe shall come vpon him.
9 A armadilha o pega pelo calcanhar, e o laço o aperta.
10 A snare is layed for him in the ground, and a trappe for him in the way.
10 A armadilha estava escondida no chão, no caminho por onde ele ia passar.
11 Fearefulnesse shall make him afrayde on euery side, and shall driue him to his feete.
11 Ameaças de todos os lados o deixam apavorado; elas o perseguem a cada passo.
12 His strength shalbe famine: and destruction shalbe readie at his side.
12 Ele era rico, mas agora passa fome; a desgraça está pronta para cair em cima dele.
13 It shall deuoure the inner partes of his skinne, and the first borne of death shall deuoure his strength.
13 Uma doença mortal se espalha pelo seu corpo e faz com que os seus braços e pernas apodreçam.
14 His hope shalbe rooted out of his dwelling, and shall cause him to go to the King of feare.
14 Ele é arrancado da sua casa, onde vivia seguro, e arrastado até a presença do Rei, isto é, a Morte.
15 Feare shall dwell in his house (because it is not his) and brimstone shalbe scattered vpon his habitation.
15 Essa casa será desinfetada com enxofre, e depois um estranho vai morar nela.
16 His rootes shalbe dryed vp beneath, and aboue shall his branche be cut downe.
16 O perverso é como uma árvore seca, seca desde as raízes até os galhos mais altos.
17 His remembrance shall perish from the earth, and he shall haue no name in the streete.
17 Ninguém lembrará mais dele; o seu nome será esquecido na sua terra.
18 They shall driue him out of the light vnto darkenesse, and chase him out of the world.
18 Ele será expulso do mundo dos vivos e da luz será jogado na escuridão.
19 Hee shall neither haue sonne nor nephewe among his people, nor any posteritie in his dwellings.
19 Não deixará filhos nem netos; não terá descendentes que fiquem com a sua casa.
20 The posteritie shalbe astonied at his day, and feare shall come vpon the ancient.
20 Em toda parte, os que ouvirem falar do seu fim tremerão de medo e pavor.
21 Surely such are the habitations of the wicked, and this is the place of him that knoweth not God.
21 É esse o fim dos maus, daqueles que não querem saber de Deus.”
