2 Smelling sweet of the best ointments. Thy name is as oil poured out: therefore young maidens have loved thee.
2 Beija-me com os beijos de tua boca; porque melhor é o teu amor do que o vinho.
3 Draw me: we will run after thee to the odour of thy ointments. The king hath brought me into his storerooms: we will be glad and rejoice in thee, remembering thy breasts more than wine: the righteous love thee.
3 Suave é o aroma dos teus unguentos, como unguento derramado é o teu nome; por isso, as donzelas te amam.
4 I am black but beautiful, O ye daughters of Jerusalem, as the tents of Cedar, as the curtains of Solomon.
4 Leva-me após ti, apressemo-nos. O rei me introduziu nas suas recâmaras. Coro Em ti nos regozijaremos e nos alegraremos; do teu amor nos lembraremos, mais do que do vinho; não é sem razão que te amam. Esposa
5 Do not consider me that I am brown, because the sun hath altered my colour: the sons of my mother have fought against me, they have made me the keeper in the vineyards: my vineyard I have not kept.
5 Eu estou morena e formosa, ó filhas de Jerusalém, como as tendas de Quedar, como as cortinas de Salomão.
6 Shew me, O thou whom my soul loveth, where thou feedest, where thou liest in the midday, lest I begin to wander after the flocks of thy companions.
6 Não olheis para o eu estar morena, porque o sol me queimou. Os filhos de minha mãe se indignaram contra mim e me puseram por guarda de vinhas; a vinha, porém, que me pertence, não a guardei.
7 If thou know not thyself, O fairest among women, go forth, and follow after the steps of the flocks, and feed thy kids beside the tents of the shepherds.
7 Dize-me, ó amado de minha alma: onde apascentas o teu rebanho, onde o fazes repousar pelo meio-dia, para que não ande eu vagando junto ao rebanho dos teus companheiros? Esposo
8 To my company of horsemen, in Pharao's chariots, have I likened thee, O my love.
8 Se tu não o sabes, ó mais formosa entre as mulheres, sai-te pelas pisadas dos rebanhos e apascenta os teus cabritos junto às tendas dos pastores.
9 Thy cheeks are beautiful as the turtledove's, thy neck as jewels.
9 Às éguas dos carros de Faraó te comparo, ó querida minha.
10 We will make thee chains of gold, inlaid with silver.
10 Formosas são as tuas faces entre os teus enfeites, o teu pescoço, com os colares.
11 While the king was at his repose, my spikenard sent forth the odour thereof.
11 Enfeites de ouro te faremos, com incrustações de prata. Esposa
12 A bundle of myrrh is my beloved to me, he shall abide between my breasts.
12 Enquanto o rei está assentado à sua mesa, o meu nardo exala o seu perfume.
13 A cluster of cypress my love is to me, in the vineyards of Engaddi.
13 O meu amado é para mim um saquitel de mirra, posto entre os meus seios.
14 Behold thou art fair, O my love, behold thou art fair, thy eyes are as those of doves.
14 Como um racimo de flores de hena nas vinhas de En-Gedi, é para mim o meu amado. Esposo
15 Behold thou art fair, my beloved, and comely. Our bed is flourishing.
15 Eis que és formosa, ó querida minha, eis que és formosa; os teus olhos são como os das pombas. Esposa
16 The beams of our houses are of cedar, our rafters of cypress trees.
16 Como és formoso, amado meu, como és amável! O nosso leito é de viçosas folhas,

17 as traves da nossa casa são de cedro, e os seus caibros, de cipreste.
