1 [A Song; a Psalm of Asaph.] O God, keep not silence; hold not thy peace, and be not still, O *God:
1 Ó Deus, não estejas em silêncio; não te cales, nem te aquietes, ó Deus,
2 For behold, thine enemies make a tumult; and they that hate thee lift up the head.
2 Porque eis que teus inimigos fazem tumulto, e os que te odeiam levantaram a cabeça.
3 They take crafty counsel against thy people, and consult against thy hidden ones:
3 Tomaram astuto conselho contra o teu povo, e consultaram contra os teus escondidos.
4 They say, Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation, and let the name of Israel be mentioned no more.
4 Disseram: Vinde, e desarraiguemo-los para que não sejam nação, nem haja mais memória do nome de Israel.
5 For they have consulted together with one heart: they have made an alliance together against thee.
5 Porque consultaram juntos e unânimes; eles se unem contra ti:
6 The tents of Edom and the Ishmaelites, Moab and the Hagarites;
6 As tendas de Edom, e dos ismaelitas, de Moabe, e dos agarenos,
7 Gebal, and Ammon, and Amalek; Philistia, with the inhabitants of Tyre;
7 De Gebal, e de Amom, e de Amaleque, a Filístia, com os moradores de Tiro;
8 Asshur also is joined with them: they are an arm to the sons of Lot. Selah.
8 Também a Assíria se ajuntou com eles; foram ajudar aos filhos de Ló. (Selá.)
9 Do unto them as to Midian; as to Sisera, as to Jabin, at the torrent of Kishon:
9 Faze-lhes como aos midianitas; como a Sísera, como a Jabim na ribeira de Quisom;
10 Who were destroyed at Endor; they became as dung for the ground.
10 Os quais pereceram em Endor; tornaram-se como estrume para a terra.
11 Make their nobles as Oreb and as Zeeb; and all their chiefs as Zebah and as Zalmunna.
11 Faze aos seus nobres como a Orebe, e como a Zeebe; e a todos os seus príncipes, como a Zebá e como a Zalmuna,
12 For they have said, Let us take to ourselves God's dwelling-places in possession.
12 Que disseram: Tomemos para nós as casas de Deus em possessão.
13 O my God, make them like a whirling thing, like stubble before the wind.
13 Deus meu, faze-os como um tufão, como a aresta diante do vento.
14 As fire burneth a forest, and as the flame setteth the mountains on fire,
14 Como o fogo que queima um bosque, e como a chama que incendeia as brenhas,
15 So pursue them with thy tempest, and terrify them with thy whirlwind.
15 Assim os persegue com a tua tempestade, e os assombra com o teu torvelinho.
16 Fill their faces with shame, that they may seek thy name, O Jehovah.
16 Encham-se de vergonha as suas faces, para que busquem o teu nome, Senhor.
17 Let them be put to shame and be dismayed for ever, and let them be confounded and perish:
17 Confundam-se e assombrem-se perpetuamente; envergonhem-se, e pereçam,
18 That they may know that thou alone, whose name is Jehovah, art the Most High over all the earth.
18 Para que saibam que tu, a quem só pertence o nome de Senhor, és o Altíssimo sobre toda a terra.
