1 [To the chief Musician. Of David. A Psalm.] O God of my praise, be not silent:
1 Eu te louvo, ó Deus. Não fiques assim silencioso.
2 For the mouth of the wicked {man} and the mouth of deceit are opened against me: they have spoken against me with a lying tongue,
2 Os maus e os mentirosos falam contra mim e me caluniam.
3 And with words of hatred have they encompassed me; and they fight against me without a cause.
3 Eles dizem coisas terríveis a meu respeito e me atacam sem motivo nenhum.
4 For my love they are mine adversaries; but I {give myself unto} prayer.
4 Eles me acusam, embora eu os ame e tenha orado por eles.
5 And they have rewarded me evil for good, and hatred for my love.
5 Eles pagam o bem com o mal e o amor, com o ódio.
6 Set a wicked {man} over him, and let {the} adversary stand at his right hand;
6 Ó Deus, escolhe um juiz corrupto para julgar o meu inimigo, e que o seu acusador seja um dos seus inimigos!
7 When he shall be judged, let him go out guilty, and let his prayer become sin;
7 Quando for julgado, que ele seja condenado! Que até a sua oração seja considerada como pecado!
8 Let his days be few, let another take his office;
8 Que o meu inimigo morra logo, e que outra pessoa faça o trabalho que ele fazia!
9 Let his sons be fatherless, and his wife a widow;
9 Que os seus filhos fiquem órfãos, e que a sua mulher fique viúva!
10 Let his sons be vagabonds and beg, and let them seek {their bread} far from their desolate places;
10 Que os seus filhos fiquem sem lar e sejam mendigos! Que sejam expulsos das casas em ruínas, onde moram!
11 Let the usurer cast the net over all that he hath, and let strangers despoil his labour;
11 Que tudo o que o meu inimigo tem seja tomado como pagamento das suas dívidas! E que estranhos fiquem com o que ele conseguiu com o seu esforço!
12 Let there be none to extend kindness unto him, neither let there be any to favour his fatherless children;
12 Que ninguém seja bom para ele, e que não haja quem cuide dos seus filhos órfãos!
13 Let his posterity be cut off; in the generation following let their name be blotted out:
13 Que todos os seus descendentes morram logo, e que o seu nome seja esquecido em pouco tempo!
14 Let the iniquity of his fathers be remembered with Jehovah, and let not the sin of his mother be blotted out;
14 Que o Senhor Deus nunca esqueça dos pecados da sua mãe e sempre lembre da maldade dos seus antepassados!
15 Let them be before Jehovah continually, that he may cut off the memory of them from the earth:
15 Que o Senhor lembre sempre dos pecados deles, porém que eles mesmos sejam completamente esquecidos!
16 Because he remembered not to shew kindness, but persecuted the afflicted and needy man, and the broken in heart, to slay him.
16 Pois esse homem nunca pensou em fazer o bem, mas perseguiu e matou o pobre, o necessitado e o desamparado.
17 And he loved cursing; so let it come unto him. And he delighted not in blessing; and let it be far from him.
17 Ele gostava de amaldiçoar: que a maldição caia sobre ele! Ele não gostava de abençoar: que ninguém o abençoe!
18 And he clothed himself with cursing like his vestment; so let it come into his bowels like water, and like oil into his bones;
18 Para ele, era tão fácil amaldiçoar como se vestir. Que as suas maldições entrem nele como água e cheguem até os seus ossos como azeite!
19 Let it be unto him as a garment with which he covereth himself, and for a girdle wherewith he is constantly girded.
19 Que as maldições nunca o larguem! Que seja como a roupa que o cobre e como o cinto que ele usa!
20 Let this be the reward of mine adversaries from Jehovah, and of them that speak evil against my soul.
20 Ó Senhor Deus, paga assim aos meus inimigos e aos que falam mal de mim!
21 But do *thou* for me, Jehovah, Lord, for thy name's sake; because thy loving-kindness is good, deliver me:
21 Mas, quanto a mim, ó ajuda-me como prometeste e livra-me, pois és bom e amoroso!
22 For I am afflicted and needy, and my heart is wounded within me.
22 Eu sou pobre e necessitado; estou ferido no fundo do coração.
23 I am gone like a shadow when it lengtheneth; I am tossed about like the locust;
23 Vou me acabando como a sombra do anoitecer; sou levado pelo vento como se eu fosse um inseto.
24 My knees are failing through fasting, and my flesh hath lost its fatness;
24 De tanto eu jejuar, os meus joelhos tremem, e o meu corpo é pele e osso.
25 And I am become a reproach unto them; {when} they look upon me they shake their heads.
25 Quando os outros me veem, caçoam de mim e, zombando, balançam a cabeça.
26 Help me, Jehovah my God; save me according to thy loving-kindness:
26 Ajuda-me, ó Senhor , meu Deus! Salva-me por causa do amor que tens por mim.
27 That they may know that this is thy hand; that *thou*, Jehovah, hast done it.
27 Que os meus inimigos fiquem sabendo que és tu que me salvas!
28 Let *them* curse, but bless *thou*; when they rise up, let them be ashamed, and let thy servant rejoice.
28 Eles podem me amaldiçoar, mas tu me abençoarás. Que os meus perseguidores sejam derrotados, e que eu, que sou teu fique alegre!
29 Let mine adversaries be clothed with confusion, and let them cover themselves with their shame as with a mantle.
29 Que sobre os meus inimigos caia a desgraça, e que a humilhação os cubra como roupa!
30 I will greatly celebrate Jehovah with my mouth; yea, I will praise him among the multitude.
30 Em voz alta, darei graças a Deus, o eu o louvarei na reunião do povo
31 For he standeth at the right hand of the needy, to save him from those that judge his soul.
31 porque ele defende o pobre para salvá-lo daqueles que o condenam à morte.
